Common Questions and Answers about Pantoprazole sodium generic

protonix

Avatar f tn I am aware of Protonix generic Pantoprazole. I have now been advised by a Pharmacist that Prevacid will help me. Will it?? Is this a Beta Blocker only or more? Are there ANY Proton pump Inhibitors out there other than Protonix and generic?. Is there a hospital injection of medicine that can be given? I will anxiously await any and all replys. I am living on Pepcid now with little relief. My Pharmacy puts Protonix at $737. for 180 40mg.tabs of Protonix and $570 for Pantoprazole.
Avatar m tn Pantoprazole Sodium tablets). First I was taking Omeprazole, 20mg, but insurance wouldn't cover, so he switched me to the generic Protonix. Protonix is a PPI (proton pump inhibitor) and last I checked, Omeprazole isn't. I wanted to know from others experience... Which one gave you less side effects? Also, are the two exactly the same class of medication or different? I also had kidney stones in the past and read that some of the inactive ingredients in acid reducers can cause that.
Avatar n tn If you mean Levoxyl: Generic Name - Levothyroxine - contains the same active ingredient as brand-name Synthroid and Levoxyl. Chemical Name - active ingredient is synthetic crystalline L-3,3',5,5'-tetraiodothyronine sodium salt (Levothyroxine (T4) sodium). Classification - T-4 Contraindications - Administration (FDA) has determined that generic levothyroxine and brand-name Synthroid and Levoxyl are equivalent.
Avatar n tn She is also taking ofloxacin200mg 01BD for the last 15 days and also one capsule daily of Pantoprazole +domperidone combination. But all this is of no avail. She suffers from hypertension too and under medication for the same. Plz. advise me.
7991152 tn?1396061810 All Synthroid is levothyroxine sodium, but not all levothyroxine sodium is Synthroid. There are several "brands" of levothyroxine sodium... Synthroid and Levoxyl are the 2 main ones. Then there are also several manufacturers of generic levothyroxine sodium. All manufacturers are allowed a certain "tolerance", meaning their products can vary by a certain amount. Some argue that generics are not as good as brand names.
Avatar f tn gave me a very heavy duty antibiotic which got rid of that, also gave me Dexalant for the burping, which I had to stop taking because it gave me diarrhea, then she gave me a prescription for pantoprazole sodium Dr. 40mg instead, which I have been taking for a few weeks & that hasn't helped either. The burping is constant, even during the night when I get up to go to the bathroom.
Avatar n tn I have been taking pantoprazole sodium 40mg tablet for about a year and lately I hate more muscous in my throat and feel as if stuff will come into my throat from my stomach, what is going on?
Avatar f tn ~$.37/pill for 20mg Generic, ~$.56/pill for 40mg Generic, ~$.95/pill 20mg Brand, ~$1.10/pill 40mg Brand. For the moment, see if your doc will allow you to use generic Omeprazole (aka, Prilosec OTC). While there are better things out there, it might work as a stop gap measure that's not as extreme as Reglan. Good luck.
Avatar n tn Generic forms are Levothyroxine sodium USP and L-thyroxine. There is still debate over whether generic thyroid supplements are as effective as thyroid brand name supplements.

Avatar f tn After years of relying on Gatorade, I started getting nausea and gastric discomfort with it. I then moved on to a generic Pedialyte. Months later the same issue came up, so now I rotate different brands (seems to help). I too assumed it was the sugar. I'm assuming you drink Gatorade for the sodium, so here is everything I have tried. I started taking salt tablets (CMC are 1 gram NaCl, which is close to 400 mg of sodium) instead of relying entirely on electrolyte drinks.
Avatar f tn Yes,but only certain ones. Colace (or the generic Docusate sodium) is safe to take daily, along with glycerin suppositories (I would only recommend that after 3 or more days with no bm). The usual stuff like prune juice or Apple juice, increasing your water and fiber intake.
Avatar f tn But with the sweats and being thirsty, it sounds like you may eat a good amount of sodium. Typically speaking, high sodium intake makes you retain water but your body will also at times try to expel the surplus by triggering you to drink so that it may flush out the extra. Do you eat a lot of high sodium foods? It may help you to drink pure water when you have these occurrences.
Avatar f tn You can take over the counter colace (docusate sodium is generic) it is a stool softener and is safe during pregnancy. Also try to add fiber to your diet and lots of water!
Avatar f tn If you go to good RX it does not list a generic for Levoxyl. Synthroid of course is levothyroxin as it’s generic. There Hass to be a difference between the two drugs, I was told to get off the medication and have awful insomnia when I was trying to switch between the two and had a dose increase and I’m highly sensitive to medications in general.
Avatar n tn ve been taking prescribed antacids for it and lots of generic tums. A similar thing like this occurred a month ago, however, my stomach only hurt when I touched the very lower portion of it then. Today my stomach hurts when I touch it mostly in the middle and when I don't touch it. The pain feels like the inside of my stomach is just raw. I don't have constipation, diarrhea, or vomiting occuring, but I am having problems sexually.
Avatar n tn This is a question for your physician. It can probably be handled with a telephone call.
Avatar n tn I am being weaned from pantoprazole with ranitidine. It seems that now that we have reached the pantoprazole every third day stage, I am getting weekly bouts of diarrhea, especially if I drink more than one cup of coffee. Is this a side effect? The diarrhea wakes me at night.
Avatar n tn The most common anti-inflammatories (NSAIDS - Non-Steroidal Anti-INflammatory) are Motrin (Generic = Ibuprofen) or Aleve (Generic = Naproxen or Naproxen Sodium). I agree - use only one of these. If you use Aleve be careful if you are on Neurontin because is a small amount of cases Aleve will interact with Neurontin and cause a 12 - 15% increase in the absorption of the Neurontin (I know this from first hand experience).
Avatar f tn I work in a 50 degree room, and I noticed the corners of my mouth didn't start drying up and splitting until I got this job. The slits keep healing up and reopening. At some point they started to bleed, and now an ugly scar is developing on the side that's had it the worst. I use natural, unscented lip balm and have been applying hydrocortisone cream and rose hip seed oil as well. I've also tried organic apple cider vinegar, raw honey, generic Neosporin, and Listerine.
Avatar f tn I have several different strengths of synthroid (every time they change my dose, it seems like they do it right after I've refilled my script) and none of them say "synthroid" on them. They all have the strength (100,88,50, etc) on one side and appear to be blank on the other side (either that or my bifocals aren't working well tonight LOL).
Avatar f tn Drink more water (I know, I know) and you can safely take a 100mg colace capsule (generic name is docusate sodium) once or twice a day. It's a stool softener not a stimulant or a laxative so it won't MAKE you go and won't stress out your almost-ready baby, either. Also try putting your feet up on a low stepstool while you're sitting on the toilet. It puts you in more of a squatting rather than a sitting position which can make it much easier to go.
