Avatar f tn After that I have had constant nausea which I have to take Zofran daily for. I had and EGD last week and it showed Gastritis and Ulcers in my stomach and small bowel. I was put on Pantoprazole but I want to know what's causing the inflammation and ulcers as I had no problems prior. Very frustrated and just want to feel better. Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn I have been experiencing nausea sensations every day for around 8 months now. I say sensations because sometimes it is nausea from my stomach and other times it's a nausea that comes from my throat. I have seen many doctors and specialists who have so far found nothing.
Avatar f tn Had endoscopy week ago. Still have nausea. Taking Pantoprazole for week. All tests/biopsy negative. Thanks.

Avatar n tn I was having the nausea problem and my doctor put me on an anti-ulcer/heartburn (even though I did not have heartburn) medication (pantoprazole). After a week the nausea went away. Yes, stress could make this worse. Do get it checked out.
Avatar f tn Exactly seven days later I had a perforated duodenal ulcer and emergency surgery. Afterwards I was put on pantoprazole 40mg, once a day. I was on this for three months then my prescription was over. During my time off of pantoprazole I noticed sharp abdominal pains, nausea, bloating, and a general unwell feeling. I saw a GI who didn’t offer much insight but scheduled a colonoscopy/endoscopy and put me back on pantoprazole 40mg.
Avatar f tn You will need to take a combination of medications like a proton pump inhibitor such as omeprazole, lansoprazole or pantoprazole empty stomach in the morning and an antacid gel after meals for complete relief. Possibility of H pylori infection too should be looked into and a combination antibiotic tried. Life style changes that will help include: Avoid heavy meals and eat frequent small meals.
Avatar f tn Now I was taking 2x1 40mg Pantoprazole for 14 days, then starting yesterday 1x1 in the morning 40mg for additional 1 month, and at same time I have to take sucralfate just before sleep.
Avatar f tn I have always had some issues with nausea and cramps but not severe, and there was an episode of long-lasting nausea in high school (2016) after I had a case of the stomach flu and then food poisoning that was practically resolved after a short amount of time on domperidone and pantoprazole. For a while I was fine, until university when the nausea returned and I suddenly stopped feeling hungry and I couldn't attend classes.
Avatar m tn The pain which you suffered is probably due to some acute gastritis/peptic ulcer pain which typically occurs in the night and is usually associated with nausea. If you take some antacids/omeprazole/pantoprazole, you’ll be fine. Please consult gastroenterologist/physician and you may need an endoscopy in case the symptoms recur on regular basis, otherwise a short course of anti-ulcer drugs should be fine. I hope that helps. Please do keep me posted.
Avatar f tn Hi. I'm a 33 year old female and have been dealing with what my PCP says is GI issues. I've been on Pantoprazole for about 6 weeks now. She prescribed me this b/c I was experiencing center chest pains that were shooting through to my back. These pains have been ongoing for a few months. At the time I saw her, I also had sharp stomach pains possibly due to an antibiotic I was taking for strep. I stopped the antibiotic on her recommendation but, still have the center chest pains.
Avatar m tn How long will I have to take pantoprazole 40mg/day for my acid reflux? Will I ever be cured from acid reflux hence no more medicine OR this is a life time thing which means continued use of daily medicine?
Avatar n tn For over a month now I have been suffering from stomach pain, nausea, a bit of gas and bloating, and food tasting really weird/gross. I've been taking prescribed antacids for it and lots of generic tums. A similar thing like this occurred a month ago, however, my stomach only hurt when I touched the very lower portion of it then. Today my stomach hurts when I touch it mostly in the middle and when I don't touch it. The pain feels like the inside of my stomach is just raw.
1327102 tn?1274973701 Birth control pills can cause severe nausea due to acidity. Especially since the pain goes to left side, it is more likely to be due to acidity. Treatment is a combination of drugs to reduce the acid and lifestyle changes. You will need to take a combination of medications like a proton pump inhibitor such as omeprazole, lansoprazole or pantoprazole empty stomach in the morning and an antacid gel after meals for complete relief.

Avatar n tn This is a question for your physician. It can probably be handled with a telephone call.
Avatar n tn I am being weaned from pantoprazole with ranitidine. It seems that now that we have reached the pantoprazole every third day stage, I am getting weekly bouts of diarrhea, especially if I drink more than one cup of coffee. Is this a side effect? The diarrhea wakes me at night.
Avatar n tn mild nausea mostly morning but had woken me up once or twice, throat pain, altered voice like pharyngitis, abdominal bloating, burping and 1 time i noticed extra saliva. the ppi (pantoprazole ) is helpful but occasionally i have some symptoms especially extra foamy saliva(1 time ) or pharyngitis. does this mean the med is not working ? or is it just that it takes time ? (a tablespoon of gaviscon cleared up my saliva problem ). 2)i try to be very good with my diet .
1140169 tn?1370185076 The gastro report says they biopsied a polyp in my stomach which was benign, and they found my stomach acid is too high in my osophogis (sp). I am to continue taking 2 pantoprazole per day and repeat the gastroscopy in a year. I just thought I'd post my results because I had posted that I had these proceedures done.

1210142 tn?1266077031 I have read a lot about the interaction between Plavix and PPI’s but he thinks only Omeprazole have more effect on Plavix, not Pantoprazole. Please, let me know what your opinion is and have you heard about any interaction between those two? I don’t need an additional heart attack.
