I had developed gastritis last september due to excessive intake of antibiotics as i developed stomach flu prior to gastritis. the doctor prescibed acidity tablets for a month. i was feeling ok for a few months then suddenly i developed nausea a week ago and the doctor prescibed tinidizole with acidity tablets. i took for 3 days along with my homeopathy medicine but i still feel heaviness in my head when i lie down so im not able to sleep. kindly advice me what to do.
The dr eho prescribed zantac also mentioned it could come from the gallbladder but there would be no test to confirm that now (super weird reading all about it now). In September 2015 I had an egd done and the dr confirmed the gastritis. I had no ulcers and no bacterial infection. He also mentioned that I had a lot of bile in my stomach. But nothing was done about that. I got pantoprazole after that procedure. But no instructions were given on how to proceed after that.
I do have Gastritis (inflamed stomach) verified by Upper Endoscopy and have had it for over a month, but unsure if it is related. I'm on Pantoprazole 40mg twice per day and Famotidine 20mg three times per day, but they're both acid reducers.
I had no stomach issues prior to 06/2022 when I had a stomach bug. After that I have had constant nausea which I have to take Zofran daily for. I had and EGD last week and it showed Gastritis and Ulcers in my stomach and small bowel. I was put on Pantoprazole but I want to know what's causing the inflammation and ulcers as I had no problems prior. Very frustrated and just want to feel better. Any suggestions?
Is anyone else suffering the same symptoms as me? What do you do about it? Im very concerned as Im in a lot of pain,it keeps flaring up too. I have pain soon after I eat in a morning. It starts like a pulling in my oesophaghus. It feels like something is stuck there. It hurts a lot and I can't swallow without it hurting. It feels like a pressure there and it also feels inflamed and bloats all the way up from my stomach.
I did a colonoscopy and an endoscopy. The intestines were fine but I was told I have gastritis. I have also been informed I have GERD and iron deficiency anemia. Starting to think this might be chrons. Been on pantoprazole. I've improved but I still get diarrhea maybe 1-2 times a day and its been at least 10 months since my eradication. Any suggestions? I tested twice so far with stool culture and a breath test. The pylori has been eradicated.

Stones can chronically irritate the gall bladder and cause inflammation and pain. The other causes could be gastritis, peptic ulcer disease and GERD. Kidney disorders too produce colicky and sharp pain. Sometimes anxiety with flatulence can cause this pain. You will need to consult your primary care physician for proper evaluation of pain and therapy. Regards.
The pain which you suffered is probably due to some acute gastritis/peptic ulcer pain which typically occurs in the night and is usually associated with nausea. If you take some antacids/omeprazole/pantoprazole, you’ll be fine. Please consult gastroenterologist/physician and you may need an endoscopy in case the symptoms recur on regular basis, otherwise a short course of anti-ulcer drugs should be fine.

The doctor prescribed me 40mg of pantoprazole to take once a day. I started the treatment and on the third day the chest pain had miraculously gone away. On the seventh day I went to a pulmonoligs to get tested for asthma and they made me use an a nebulizer that contained albuterol, something I may be allergic to.
The difficulty breathing came back from using the nebulizer and so did the chest pain. On the ninth day of being on the bland diet, I decided it would be safe to drink matcha.
I have had all the tests in the world and no Doctor seems to know the problem. I have GERD and gastritis. The pain is so bad, it can last for hours and I feel like someone is stabbing me from the inside out. I am so fed up and don't know what to do.. Can someone help me figure this out?
Hi, My GI Dr. Did an endoscopy & said I have Gastritis & had H-pylori & gave me a very heavy duty antibiotic which got rid of that, also gave me Dexalant for the burping, which I had to stop taking because it gave me diarrhea, then she gave me a prescription for pantoprazole sodium Dr. 40mg instead, which I have been taking for a few weeks & that hasn't helped either. The burping is constant, even during the night when I get up to go to the bathroom.
I went to the hospital on Jan 2 2010 where they ran x-rays and blood tests, only to determine i had gastritis and to take lax-a-day for four days. Two weeks later Iwas at my doctors office with the same problem, she ran an un upper g.i., abdominal ultrasound and more blood work, she determined i had acid reflux, and prescribed domperidone and pantoprazole. It is now feb27 2010 and I still have the same problem.
What can I do about my gastritis? I have had gastritis for two years. Since the end of last year I haven,t been doing very well with it. It keeps flaring up a lot and it is agony. Im on Pantoprazole which is one 40mg tablet a day. I also take Gaviscon. Today I started taking Sucralfate but it hasn,t helped as its extremly painful. It keeps me awake at night with the pain. Has anyone else been like this? I don,t know why I can,t get rid of it or get it under control.
a) My doctor is asking me to take CINITAPRIDE-3MG and PANTOPRAZOLE 40MG. I am extremely vary of PPI, given my past experience, should i take Pantoprazole or stay on Fomatidine?
b) Can i take Cinitapride given the low oxygen desaturation during sleep? If not, which medicine with minimal side effects can be given to strengthen LES?
c) I'm taking Peptest to find out if Pepsin is causing Extra easophagal symptoms next week. If the issue with pepsin, what could i take?
I was initially on Pantoprazole (Protonix) 40mg once per day and Pepcid AC 20mg twice a day for about 3 weeks. I took it for about a week before my Upper Endoscopy. He initially told me to take it once per day, but as of about a week ago when my pain became so strong (after 3 weeks) that I couldn't sleep at night, he told me to take the 40mg Pantoprazole twice a day (morning and night) with the Pepcid AC and I take a third Pepcid AC during the middle of the day per his direction.
It sounds like you have gastritis,I have it and it is very dificult to get rid of. See your doctor and get referred to see a gastro. You can have an endoscopy and then you will know whats wrong with your stomach. You will be given a PPI tablet if its that,Im on Pantoprazole. I use Gaviscon or Sucralfate liquid. Have you tried Ranitidine? That may work.
I have been to the Ed several times and had ct scan and xray, both came out fine, except ii have a cyst on my kidney and was to!d it was normal. My doctor seems to think its gastritis caused from gerd. I was prescribed antacid and pantoprazole, in witch helped with bloating. I'm still experiencing the constipation, diarrhea, and all the other symptoms as typed above. I had asked my doc for a colonoscopy but, he doesn't think I need one.
Ive really had enough of it. how it is now is terrible. I have gastritis and a hiatus hernia. My stomach can settle down for a day then it will flare up. I get severe burning pain where it feels inflamed at the top of my stomach. I can get bloating and pressure in my oesophaghus. The pain gets very bad and lasts all day. I have trouble eating with it. This pain keeps coming back and it is worse. Its got worse over the past couple of months.
always felt bad depressed .recently diagnosed with gerd mild chronic gastritis .trouble swallowing felt like phlem.did all tests on tyroid .small hyatil hernia .was vitamin d defficent taking 4,000 a day .loosing hair .on armor tyroid 60 mg .taking pantoprazole 40 mg not helping much .alot of foods bother me .even animal crackers 2grams of fat took dexilant for 4 days getting worse now heavy feeling in chest .i stopped went back to pantoprazole.was getting sinus problems from acid reflux.
