1210142 tn?1266077031 Taking Diltiazem, Lisinopril, Aspirin and Ranitidine as well. Have been having constant stomach and chest pains and the doctors are not able to find the cause- at least they don’t think it is a cardiac one./the chest pains/ My gastroenterologist suggested I stop taking Ranitidine and switch to Pantroprazole. I have read a lot about the interaction between Plavix and PPI’s but he thinks only Omeprazole have more effect on Plavix, not Pantoprazole.
Avatar n tn I am being weaned from pantoprazole with ranitidine. It seems that now that we have reached the pantoprazole every third day stage, I am getting weekly bouts of diarrhea, especially if I drink more than one cup of coffee. Is this a side effect? The diarrhea wakes me at night.
Avatar m tn Then I started having stomach pains and I was put on the antacid pantoprazole and a stool softener for constipation. After about a month and a half I was feeling so good I stopped taking the pantoprazole after consulting with my doctor. A week later I was having bad GERD and went back on it. I still don't know what initially caused the bloating, why it ramped up to GERD so quickly off the medication, and how damaged my LES is now.
Avatar n tn For over a month now I have been suffering from stomach pain, nausea, a bit of gas and bloating, and food tasting really weird/gross. I've been taking prescribed antacids for it and lots of generic tums. A similar thing like this occurred a month ago, however, my stomach only hurt when I touched the very lower portion of it then. Today my stomach hurts when I touch it mostly in the middle and when I don't touch it. The pain feels like the inside of my stomach is just raw.
Avatar f tn i was feeling ok for a few months then suddenly i developed nausea a week ago and the doctor prescibed tinidizole with acidity tablets. i took for 3 days along with my homeopathy medicine but i still feel heaviness in my head when i lie down so im not able to sleep. kindly advice me what to do.
Avatar f tn Besides I take the medications all the time, have lost 15kg, in 4 months, I eat as directed by my doctor, I still have the symptoms like, nausea, bloated stomach, and occasionally when my stomach is so bloated I have high heart rate and difficulty in breathing, that cause me a lot of panic and I have finished maybe 9-10 times to ER, where they diagnose me with digestive problems and anxiety like panic attack.
Avatar m tn It is not there after breakfast and lunch (maybe rarely). But it is certainly almost on a daily basis when I stay awake late night. Any suggestion how I could avoid this? I do have belching more often than flatus.
Avatar f tn I have been using gaviscon and was talking to a doctor at work this morning about when I was due etc and she said take pantoprazole (aka somac) u need a prescription in Australia but she said its a category A drug and worked wonders for her
20210291 tn?1492541285 t take the vitamin b pills anymore, I also lowered the pantoprazole dose, I keep feeling worse again, my stomach hurts more often and this stone like feeling is also worse. Since last may I didn`t have my period, probably because I lost weight so rapidly in such short time back then ( I was still able to eat normal when I began losing weight) I don't drink, don't smoke, never did drugs, only drink water and a bland diet since a few months.
Avatar m tn I had an endoscopy when I was 16 and the doctors found nothing, so the prescribed me a rather high dose of Pantoprazole, which I had taken until I was 18. After a few years of being on the medicine, I noticed that the Pantoprazole alone wasn't enough to tame my daily heartburn, (which, ironically enough, wasn't set off by certain foods, but in fact tamed it. In the morning before I had eaten, it was especially bed to the point sometimes where I had to vomit. Never any blood.
Avatar n tn The doctor tried me on Ranitidine instead but it made me sick and hes tried me on Cimetedine but acid still came up. Now Im on 2 Pantoprazoles, for the time being.
Avatar n tn You will need to take a combination of medications (under medical supervision) like a proton pump inhibitor such as omeprazole, lansoprazole or pantoprazole empty stomach in the morning and an antacid gel after meals or H-2 blocker such as ranitidine for complete relief. Possibility of H pylori infection too should be looked into by a carbon urea breath test and a combination antibiotic tried.
Avatar n tn Have a sensitive stomach and get burning pains especially if food has chilly or is strong in acid. Ranitidine has helped but from time to time suffer missing hearbeats. Having given up the drug for a while things improved but stomach started to suffer again and thus the reason to re-start the drug.
1140169 tn?1370185076 About a year ago I complained to my Doc that I was getting heartburn, etc, too often again, and he upped my dose to 2 pantoprazole per day, which barely improved things, hense the scope. I've tried Tecta, which didn't seem to work for me, but I've never tried Prilosec nor Protonix (I don't think).
Avatar m tn And it was only once then. It just happened so suddenly, I was breathing find and then I lie down and immediately begin experiencing problems. I also have terriible posture and spend 5+ hours a day using the computer, sitting not up straight in a chair, not sure if that has anything to do with it either.
Avatar m tn ve never been officially diagnosed, just something my GP thought might be bothering me and prescribed me ranitidine... long story short, the ranitidine worked fine (150 mg/2x a day) and I was symptom free within 24 hours. Flash forward to 5 weeks ago, I thought I was developing a bit of a chest cold with some chest tightness. Figured the cough would come along later... funny thing, it never came.
Avatar f tn Got on pantoprazole for the reflux, it’s been working great but in the last week I’ve had this pins and needles sensation in my legs feel nauseous and I can’t seem to shake that somethings wrong with me. I’m in constant fear. I don’t know if the pantoprazole is giving me the tingling feeling because I’m not on anything else?

746512 tn?1388807580 What is the best way to take GERD meds and vitamins with them? I'm on three daily doses of pantoprazole 40mg which I take morning/breakfast, supper and bedtime. I'm also taking calcium, vit D and a multivitamin because I'm having a lot of trouble eating because of complications from jaw surgery (and since I can't take any pain meds). The calcium is suppose to be taken three times a day with a meal but not near any other meds.
