Avatar f tn Welcome to the gastroenterology community! From your profile I see that you are a teenager and I assume you live in the US. I would guess that this is anxiety, which I see that you also have from your profile. Pantoprazole (Protonix) is only by perscription and treats GERD which I don't think you have and Domperidone is not FDA approved in the US so I would not recommend either of these suggestion.
Avatar f tn s a highly personal issue. The combination of Domperidone and Pantoprazole (Protonix) has ben pretty good for me, as has something called "Iberogast", which I got from Amazon, and which you can get from a naturopath. Acupuncture has also proven helpful, though i wasn't able to continue that route for a couple of reasons. In the end, the "magic bullet", so to speak, has been a combination of diet, exercise and medications as prescribed by a doc.
Avatar m tn Until recently, my symptoms have been well conntrolled with medication (Pantoprazole 40mg twice daily and domperidone) and lifestyle modications. I have avoided most problematic foods (onions, garlic, citrus , caffeine, carbonated beverages, chocolate, mint and spicy items). About 3 months ago I started to experience what I consider to be IBS symptoms; bloating, cramps and lots of gas. The discomfort ocurred much lower down than my typical GERD symptoms do.
Avatar f tn s not that painful anymore but I am worried now to sleep because I might feel that pain again. I also have gerd and taking pantoprazole+domperidone so i hope its just because of my medicines.
Avatar m tn a year ago a doctor suspected me of peptic ulcer and he gave me pantoprazole 40mg and domperidone for 2 weeks. Then all symptoms were gone after the treatment. After a few months i started taking this probiotic (with 250 billion cfu) then i started to get bloated, felt like the ulcer symptoms came back. I've been like that for 6 months now. I feel like there's too much gas inside me. I don't have excessive burping/flatulence though.

Furthermore, there is a significant family history of hypertension, with our father experiencing a brain stroke at the age of 51.
Avatar n tn She is also taking ofloxacin200mg 01BD for the last 15 days and also one capsule daily of Pantoprazole +domperidone combination. But all this is of no avail. She suffers from hypertension too and under medication for the same. Plz. advise me.
Avatar n tn After being on pantoprazole 2 time per day and domperidone the spasm stopped however the burning continued from by back to my chest. My GI specialist reommended 10 mg of amitriptyline. After 2 days of taking it the burning stopped but I developed the worst upper back and chest pain. This was different from the first pain which was up and down. This new pain was across my upper back and chest.
Avatar m tn , abdominal ultrasound and more blood work, she determined i had acid reflux, and prescribed domperidone and pantoprazole. It is now feb27 2010 and I still have the same problem. I have read about early hiv symptoms and what I don't have are the following; vommiting, diarreah, chills, rash, night sweats. what I am experiencing is; upset stomach, mild headaches and backaches, no wanting to eat, growling in bowels and stomach, slight dizziness.
Avatar f tn I have always had some issues with nausea and cramps but not severe, and there was an episode of long-lasting nausea in high school (2016) after I had a case of the stomach flu and then food poisoning that was practically resolved after a short amount of time on domperidone and pantoprazole. For a while I was fine, until university when the nausea returned and I suddenly stopped feeling hungry and I couldn't attend classes.
Avatar m tn My mother (99 yr. old) over the last three years not every time but will on occasion during eating begin to cough as if choking and then go on to bringing up great volumes of ( appears clear) phlegm. At that time the physician said to have her eat only creamed soups/Ensure/Boost. That seemed to help and it only seemed to occur when she ate fibrous foods. About eight months ago her esophagus was scoped because a semblance of blood was found in the sputum.
Avatar f tn So I have hashimotos. I had a baby in October. She turned out to be allergic to dairy. I cut out dairy. My thyroid function increased to the point that my tsh dropped to <0.01 on 1/19 and my milk production drastically decreased. I stopped taking my thyroid meds in desperation to get my milk supply back as fast as possible because even when we used the hypoallergenic formula my baby was still passing massive blood in her stool.
Avatar n tn I get extremely full and naseauous and I will not have a bowel movement for days. I am seeing a specialist at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital and am in a gastroparesis research study. My doctor told me that since my stomach is paralyzed that fiber foods just sit there and will not digest. He told me to stay clear of salads.
Avatar n tn Just wondering if anybody here has ever taken Domperidone and Escitalopram. It says in the Domperidone leaflet not to take the two medications together, and some quick research online says there is a severe interaction between the two medicines. Despite this my doctor has prescribed them both to me. 30mg of Domperidone a day + 20mg of Escitalopram a day. Should I consult with my doctor about this or will I be fine? Thanks in advance.
Avatar f tn Domperidone is legal is most countries but it is not FDA approved in the US. This is because it can rarely cause heart problems. I took it and I had no side effects at all. It didn't work very well for me though.
Avatar f tn In any case, ask your doctor about this type of exam, and see whether domperidone, in addition to the Protium (pantoprazole) might help. (By the way, gastroparesis is often associated with childbirth, for some reason.) In the meantime, start moving to a gluten-free diet to see whether it helps. (It might take a few months of a strict gluten-free regimen for symptoms to begin clearing.) In fact, to be on the safe side, try avoiding ALL grains and dairy.
Avatar f tn He has tried long periods using Prilosec, Pepcid, Zantac, Kapidex and most recently Pantoprazole 40 mg. His gastroenterologist seems to be running out of ideas. Is there a specific organ we should be looking at? A different kind of test? Should he be taking probiotics? Should he sleep standing up? Thank you for any ideas. At this point we would go to a clinic out of state to get a better result. We live in Pittsburgh.
1067212 tn?1353960402 I went to the doctor with those symptoms and he did no tests, he just said it was 'probably' a viral infection. He gave me Betahistine Dihydrochloride tablets to ease the dizzyness. However, I still feel uneasy and sick. It has been over a week now and I'm feeling anxious all the time. I start feeling literally terrified but I don't know why. I can't sleep alone because I get so scared. I'm starting to have panic attacks too.
1140169 tn?1370185076 About a year ago I complained to my Doc that I was getting heartburn, etc, too often again, and he upped my dose to 2 pantoprazole per day, which barely improved things, hense the scope. I've tried Tecta, which didn't seem to work for me, but I've never tried Prilosec nor Protonix (I don't think).
1210142 tn?1266077031 I am still tapering Pantoprazole but acid reflux is there and most likely caused by the multiple medications I am taking. I am taking Pantoprazole and all other medications in the morning/except the statin/, Plavix at noon and Ranitidine at night. Horrible coctail and there is no escape:) Please, let me know how your blood work went.
Avatar m tn I do have Gastritis (inflamed stomach) verified by Upper Endoscopy and have had it for over a month, but unsure if it is related. I'm on Pantoprazole 40mg twice per day and Famotidine 20mg three times per day, but they're both acid reducers.
Avatar m tn Jan 2016 Skin problems started and fungal infection treated with cream and tablets. Balance and joint problems become bad and he fell down the stairs twice and around the house a few times. A lot of care and support then required from his wife and family at this point. By mid 2016 he developed temporary blurred vision in one eye for a minute.
