I just found out that there is a class-action lawsuit against the companies that make denture adhesive. It seems that these adhesives contain enough zinc to cause many of the my FMS symptoms. I've been wearing dentures for 18 years and I have always used the same brand of adhesive, which is made by one of the companies targeted by the lawsuit. I called my Dr this am to arrange a blood test to determine the my zinc levels.
Though the way a zinc shortage appears in the nails more often is ridging or flaking, they can also apparently come out orange. You could try increasing your zinc intake. (If you take a supplement, don't go wild and take too much; just one a day.)
But if what you have is "yellow fingernail syndrome," it could be related to something you'd like to talk to a doctor about.
This morning on ABC they had a segment about a lady who had lost her balance to the point she had to have a walker to get around. They said they discovered that the zinc in her denture cream had cause the problem. They especially mention Fixodent and Polydent. My husband uses Fixodent and also is unable to walk without a cane. If he misplaces the cane, he has to hold onto the walls or furniture to walk around. This might be a just a coincident.
stop giving her milk dogs cant digest it and it will make things worse.. if she doesnt vomit in 24 hours offer her a small amount of boiled rice and boiled chicken with no fat and no bones. cook them seperatly..
there are a lot of reasons dogs vomit. without testing you cant be sure whats causeing it..
cnsidering her age and her breed my first concern would be that she at something and it is not passing through her digestive tract..

There are many causes of numbness and tingling along with electric shock like sensations. Some of them are- Zinc poisoning, Anxiety, Neuropathy and Sciatica. It could be a part of Complicated Migraine syndrome as well. Please go for an MRI of the brain and spine and wait for the neurologist appointment. If the symptoms are really bothering you, you may consult a physician to get primary investigations done to find out whether it is anxiety, zinc poisoning or part of Migraine syndrome.
You need a little zinc in your diet, but too much can poison you. If you use Fixodent, and experience numbness, tingling, or weakness in your arms or legs, or balance or movement problems, your denture cream may be poisoning you.
Most people who use denture creams like Fixodent and Poligrip don't know they contain zinc, let alone the health problems they can cause. Even swallowing small amounts of Fixodent over a long period of time may eventually make you sick.
I have a strange question. A friend just called to say her ex-husband's sweat is now smelling like urine. He has been drinking along with taking pain pills and muscle relaxers for awhile. He has been having alot of problems with vomitting and had an Ultrasound which looked ok except that they couldn't see the pancreas due to bowel gas. He is supposed to have a CT scan done to double check but hasn't gotten around to it.
In all probability the symptoms are due to alcoholic pancreatitis and hepatitis. It can also be food poisoning. Take an OTC lactobacillus preparation and yoghurt with your meals. Drink plenty of fluids. Eat light, do not stay hungry but eat simple things like toast, porridge, cereals, crackers, banana, rice, peeled apple, etc. Take ORS. Take over the counter antacid and antiemetic (this SOS for vomiting). Consult a doctor immediately.

The other causes could be jaundice if there is yellowish discoloration of skin, food poisoning if the symptoms occurred shortly after taking food, peptic ulcer disease and sometimes cholecystitis and pancreatitis. Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance. In the meantime take oral fluids.

Years ago, I had a young Sheltie that died of pancreatitis. He was absolutely fine when I left for work in the morning and doubled up and very ill by the time I got home. I rushed him to my Vet and we tried to treat him for 2 days. I finally made the sad decision to put him to sleep. So, I've crossed the same bridge you find yourself at today. I really doubt, with the other issues going on, that the outcome would have been different. You tried your best and you have to remember that.
Well hello tingle group I am here because I have been having burning skin on my arms around my back and sometimes down my arm. Then I will get a tight feeling in my head like squeezing. Also my brain feels like it's burning. What in world? I have been to Dr.s and have had blood tests and ct scan also have digestive problems. I'm 17 years old and in good health. I'm not overweight, I don't smoke, and I don't drink or do drugs. I try to eat the best I can but I have a horrible sweet tooth. Well anyway, most days, my stomach will hurt at some point during the day. I know part of the problem is stress, but I'm trying to keep that under control. My stomach hurts when I'm hungry. And it hurts after I eat. I always feel bloated after I eat.
s for feather picking are Giardiasis or other parasite infestation, zinc or lead poisoning, fungal skin infections, tuberculosis, liver disease, malnutrition or cancer, or behavioral causes. All the physical causes of feather picking must be eliminated with diagnostic tests before assuming that cause of the feather picking is behavioral.
Ask you doctor for a Culture & Sensitivity (C & S) urinary analysis. In the mean time, you should increase your liquid intake, but not from coffee, tea or alcohol. This should ease a lot of the burning.
