20820562 tn?1524877846 She was constipated and vomiting. The vet took blood work that showed she had pancreatitis and kidney disease. Her BUN was 76 and creatinine 5.6. Avatar m tn I did a CT Scan and MRI in my pancreas and the results were inflamation but my blood test 19-9 came to 133. What does this mean? Cancer or infammation of the pancreas? .
Avatar n tn I too have a very low lipase number with acute and pain, blotted stomach, constipation, and gas (coming out both ends). Went to ER. They did a CT and blood work and told me everything was fine and sent me out the door. I was still in pain, bloated and feeling abandoned. I have all my labs and finally my CT scan results. I will be calling them on Monday 11/16/2020. They lied to me.
Avatar n tn It could indicate whether you have pancreatitis. Parathyroid patients may have pancreatitis but it is possible that you have only gastroesophageal reflux.
Avatar f tn Hi, understand your concern. With pancreatitis usually the lipase and amylase values are increased many folds. And if chronic the imaging studies will usually show pancreatic fibrosis. In the absence of these findings its unlikely that you have chronic pancreatitis. The other causes for the pain could be infections of the bowel and bladder, prolapsed intervertebral disc or inflammatory diseases of the colon. So, if your symptoms persist discuss these options with your doctor. Regards.

Avatar f tn One week when the morning pain episodes were very frequent (4-5 times in one week), took him to the vet and blood test showed lipase was over 1400. Other values were normal, and Bile acid test came back normal. Blood tests several times since then show lipase hovering around 700. Xray did not show any obvious problems. At wit's end and my little boy is my everything. Can anyone help us? I have him on home made very low fat diet, and tummy symptoms are relieved by pepcid.
Avatar f tn He is a social drinker and no smoking habits.His last 3 months blood test shows elevated values for bilirubin,ALT and AST. All other test are normal.The last lab test values are following Bilirubin Total- 1.6 mg/dl (Normal 0.3-1 mg/dl) Bilirubin Direct- 0.3 mg/dl (Normal 0.1-0.31 mg/dl) AST(SGOT)- 56 u/ml (Normal 5-55 u/ml) ALT(SGPT)- 100 u/ml (Normal 5-35 u/ml) Alkelie phosphate- 120u/l(Normal 100-250 u/l) Albumin - 4.0 g/dl (Normal 3.5-5.5 g/dl) Globulin - 2.8 g/dl (Normal 1.9-2.
Avatar f tn The recommendation is 5-15ml per pound of body weight. Importantly, a careful check on blood values is necessary during SubQ treatment, as electrolytes can swing abnormally high or low.
Avatar n tn In severe cases of pancreatitis it is also possible for the liver to be inflamed, so if your dog's case is severe, this is the reason for the elevated liver values. You said that the vet said that her blood is clotting. Did she use the term disseminated intravascular coagulation? If so (and I am not trying to frighten you I am just being truthful) you have got one sick doggie there. DIC sometimes occurs in very severe cases of pancreatitis.
Avatar m tn High could mention anything form slightly higher than the normal range to 10x or 100x normal values. Different values mean different things. In order to answer your questions we need real numbers. Thanks.
Avatar f tn my doctor just said because of blood test values that it was "recent" all info about blood lab values is getting more and more confusing. since first outbreak i assumed it had to be 2 to 20 before?
Avatar f tn We are putting him on a bp med and maybe some chinese herbs eventually. One of his kidney values was very mildly elevated so I wanted to do the ultrasound and he has had vomiting on and off… it seemed to be hairball related, I treated that and it seems to help and sometimes food related. I'm changing their diet to a raw dehydrated diet slowly also to try to help. He has always been very sensitive and has vomited here and there as have a lot of my cats.
Avatar f tn I have had multiple blood tests, any you can imagine, including for leukemia and all negative. i have high leukocytes on the regular and daily runny nose qith occasional sore throat. the day before the mini stroke my skin turned yellow and my left side of my body, mainly my arm, hurt and was very heavy. now i have regular tingling in my hands and feet and almost daily bone pain in my arms and legs. weekly and daily supplements have helped most symptoms but not all. any ideas??
Avatar f tn Not sure if I should run her to the ER or wait it out until morning when the vet reopens. Any advice? Her blood work was all normal a month ago when it was done. Vet 2 blames the acid reflux for the coughing. She is 6.5 pounds of love and precious. ALL suggestions are needed and welcomed. Thanks.
Avatar f tn Also has anyone ever had normal blood levels with pancreatitis?
Avatar n tn no evidence of masses or pancreatitis, the absence of the pancreatic body and tail, no pancreatic ductal dilation, difficulty in visualizing the pancreatic duct, and hypodense areas in both lobes of the liver. A previous ERCP showed pancreas divisum. Liver biopsies showed missing small bile ducts, but the ERCP showed normal major bile ducts. Could these CT results be the source of my daughter's chronic pain? Would an ERCP procedure to correct the pancreas divisum provide relief?
Avatar f tn I truly feel like the change in diet triggered her pancreatitis which caused her kidney values to shoot through the roof (when we put her in the hospital, they were literally off the chart). We get to pick her up today. I definitely don't want to feed her anymore of the NF food. I checked out some of your recipes which I am more than willing to try, but I want to make sure it doesn't affect her pancreatitis. Any thoughts?
9633935 tn?1411342802 This did not the doctor think was something to worry about. How do I read the response/values and what should I look for? Where isthe limit values? What does 12 mean? How much does that values effekt my body? The doctor say something like: that was high and something else, i cant remember was maby litle to low an that was not good he sad. What was low? And what does that affekt?
