I went home and that night took my temp 99.4 and thought that was a fever. They set me up for a ct scan and told me I had pancreatitis? I went to norwood urgent care and they hooked me to a IV and that was that . I have not had any pain or vominting, lost weight becausebof liquid diet and anxiety. Can someone please tell me if this will happen again or if I should do a follow up with a GI specialist???
Steroids, mumps, Epstein Barr Virus and Cytomegalovirus, Lupus and other immune diseases, very high calcium, lipids and triglycerides, drugs: sulfa drugs, steroids, NSAID use, diuretics, duodenal ulcer, diabetic drugs especially Byetta.
The drugs could be a problem for both the pancrease and liver too. If you have been taking Byetta for diabetis it is very important to get treatment for that right away.
I would say there is cause for concern but you are getting it checked out.
I was told about a year ago that my liver lipids are higher than they should be and my mom and sister also have both had their gallbladders removed. I have been having a lot of diarrhea, indigestion, and pain in my back on the right in the middle. It's sort of a dull ache and can feel sharp at times. Could this be related to my liver or my gall bladder? I don't really have any pain in my stomach just my back.
She said something is wrong with my pancreas and I went back in for the cystic fibrosis gene test and a lipids test today and I have a CT scan scheduled for Friday. I dont drink and my liver, thyroid,electrolytes,blood sugar, kidney and blood cell counts were all normal. Anyone have any idea what this could be?
The CT scan did not show anything other than the hazy pancreas, impression pancreatitis. All ducts, lymph nodes etc were normal and there was no fluid. No mention of other pancreas damage or calcifications. Ultrasound and mrcp showed only sluge and polyp in gallbaldder and all duct were normal size w/o stones.

Besides the yellowish skin and eyes, I also experience gas, bloating/ stomach distention, sometimes slight pain under right rib cage and food intolerances to wheat, gluten and glucose/sugars.

Normal B12 levels
Normal Folate and Iron levels
Low Vitamin D levels @ 18.
I was in the hospital for pancreatitis and my lipase and amalyse levels are still high 3 weeks later. I have had an ultra sound and MRCP and both came back normal, the MRCP showed inflammation of my pancreas, I am concerned because my stools are still pale and greasy and my Lipase and Amal. levels are still high. Could i have pancreatic cancer???
Trouble was I had a really bad Nicorette habit. Low and behold I have chronic pancreatitis and if I chew the gum--the pancreatic pain skyrockets. I would say "YES" Nicorette either causes, triggers, or aggrevates pancreatitis.
HI Laidies, I'm now 43 and was diagnosed with PCOS in my 20's due to infertility. Please note I have two beautiful daughters. It took quite some time... but there is hope. The key for me was the Metformin with a very low carb diet. I shed a lot of weight... stayed on Metformin and got pregnant twice. I can honestly say, it was the combination of the two.
Now that I'm perimenipausal.... HELP...
im now being directed to take a gastric emptying study which i already have had done a year ago and those results were normal..my question is...is here a link between pancreatitis and bile reflux? and if so, would it not be indicative of an obstruction (due to the minor dilation) of my pancreatic duct....is there any remedies or speculation around these test results?
I had hyperparathyroidism and it was my understanding that was separate from my thyroid issue. I'm not sure that is clinically correct though.

Now its been basically non-stop, confirmed by mri, that it is chronic pancreatitis, and fatty liver. Im being sent to a pain specialist for the pain, and hoping he can offer relief, because Ive been recieving very little help from my doctor with that. Im 5'5", used to be about 138lbs, and now am 162, with gain of 10lbs a month on a low fat diet, no meat, no bread, soft food. I dont understand except unless wieght gain is from thyroid going wrong, im hypothyroid.

t really given much say in the matter, as the pancreatitis was a nasty attack and I was strongly advised to get my gallbladder out asap after it. It was a straightforward procedure, with no after effects. I can't really say I felt better, because apart from the pancreatitis incident, I never had any problems beforehand! I do sometimes suffer with the "dumping syndrome" which, whilst unpleasant, doesn't worry me too much as I believe it's normal.
1. Can the heart rate or blood pressure depends on lipids or glucose level in blood?
2. Can lipids or glucose level in blood be increased by stress?
t seem to care about the Pneumobilia and one Dr seemed to think its normal and I might have it forever, but I am concerned especially about possible infection coming from the small bowel into the Biliary hepatic vessels and also can this air be causing the ongoing Pancreatitis?
