Hi Bob...did/would you consider going into a detox or rehab center? They would medicate you so that the withdrawl symptoms aren't as bad as they would be coming off the Norco by yourself and you'd be in a controlled environment where you couldn't be tempted to take anything. I once had a 20 Percocet a day habit, but I was younger and although it was hell, the withdrawl was easier than it would be now. It took 3 days of detoxing for me to start feellilng better.

Evan, What an inspiring post! I think that you would make an excellent abuse counselor, no matter what program you choose to enroll in. You have a way with words for sure; informative and firm, yet compassionate and from the heart. You have really turned your life around and now you will be able to help others do the same. If my wife had given me free room and board, let me be as mean to her as I wanted, and there were no consequences to my drug abuse, I would be dead today. You can ask around here, I am not a bad person or of low moral character, I am an addict. When people say you are enabling your man, it means you are part of his problem. ONE OF SEVERAL RESTRAUNTS WAS A DESERT RESTRAUNT. WE SERVED ALL KINDS OF DESERTS WITH AND WITHOUT WHIP-CREAM OUT OF AIRISOL CANS. THESE EMPTIED CANS ADDED UP REAL FAST. WHAT I FOUND OUT WAS THAT INHALING THE FUMES FROM THESE CANS GAVE AN IMMEDIATE HIGH.

Suboxen is not designed to be a pill to replace any drug. It is a complete program that should be done only under a doctor's care along with outside support and counseling. The doctor should monitor the patient carefully and advise that there will be withdrawal issues at the end of the program. You should have also be properly weaned at the end. You can get through the prescription drug abuse too. You are doing all the right things except taking narcotics while on suboxone. Please do not do that!!! You can be in a heap of trouble.
