Finally, since about year he began giving him INVEGA (paliperidone) injection 50 mg which he is fine with it. The problem is that he has become sperm non-existent as he told me. Hi welcome to the Hepatitis C community Olysio per the prescribing information sheet is intended to be used with interferon and Ribavirin. The same applies to Sovaldi. Per prescription they are not used together. However there have been clinical trials using them together "off label" and they have been shown to be highly effective when used together. You can web search for Cosmos clinical trial cohort 1 and cohort 2 to see study results.

My guess is that they are having label issues. They might get an approval with a limited label, followed by a label modification in the near future. Just a guess though.

After reviewing the medications I was already taking (to avoid any conflicts) she recommended Lamotrigine for my intense anxiety. I am VERY familiar with off-label drug uses, but I can find no information re: the use of this drug for my situation. It is a drug used for bi-polar disorder and seizures. If there is any knowledge that a drug can harm the liver it will be on the label. You can easily come across a line on some drug labels that warns about treating patients with "hepatic impairment" (means liver damage).

The pharmacist should have explained this to him. I believe there would also be either a label on the inhaler near the prescription label or see it should be typed right onto the prescription label to rinse after each use. Easily treated but you will definitely want a doctor to have a look.

off label use of a medication is something you and your provider need to discuss. it might not be paid for by your insurance if you are using it for an off label use - just a fyi.
