Paliperidone degradation

Common Questions and Answers about Paliperidone degradation

invega

Avatar n tn Finally, since about year he began giving him INVEGA (paliperidone) injection 50 mg which he is fine with it. The problem is that he has become sperm non-existent as he told me. Will it disappear in case he stop taking the injection after a long period of use???? I am very confused, particularly as he wants to get married and be a father.
Avatar n tn Went to ER with severe vertigo that wouldn't stop. They did a CT scan of head/brain w/o contrast. Part of the findings state "Artifact degradation of the pons is noted. The gray white differentiation appears symmetric with artifact degradation through the posterior fossa and near the skull base.
Avatar n tn For the past couple years I have been on paliperidone which is generic for invega which I know can cause extreme weight gain. Couple that with my increasingly poor eating habits, I definitely ballooned in weight. For about the past two months I have gone on a heavy calorie restriction that I know is deemed to be unsafe and unhealthy. I want to say now that with respect, I would prefer you focus on my question at hand and not about telling me to eat more food than I currently do. Thanks.
Avatar m tn Well will wonders never cease? Are we surprised about the information? I guess they had to spend money on something after they couldn't buy donuts for doctors offices anymore.
Avatar m tn Degradation of viral DNA in the cell nucleus opens new Hepatitis B treatment possibilities Scientists from the Helmholtz Zentrum München and the Technische Universität München have discovered how the viral DNA of the hepatitis B virus (HBV) can be degraded in the cell nucleus of liver cells, consequently allowing the virus to be eliminated. Viruses such as HBV can persist by depositing their genetic information (DNA) in the cell nucleus, where the DNA is normally not degraded.
Avatar n tn hey, my grandfather has been recently diagnosed with dementia (although not a finite diagnosis). but his memory degradation is not consistent, during the day his memory and behavior is fine (although not as great as it used to be), but in the evening his memory and behavior gets alot worse. i wanted to ask if someone in this forum has any new diagnosis or can explain why its like that. thanks in advance.
Avatar f tn As fas as I know, nexium (esomeprazole) only interferes with biaxin (clarithromycin). It heightens the amount of esomeprazole by inhibiting the degradation of esomeprazole. Macrobid is nitrofurantoin, not clarithromycin. You may also look here: http://www.ehealthme.com/drug_interactions_side_effects/Nexium-2792078.
Avatar m tn Hello, Histamine intolerance results from a disequilibrium of accumulated histamine and the capacity for histamine degradation. Symptoms can be reduced by a histamine-free diet or be eliminated by antihistamines. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar n tn I've been on it and it is addictive. Not as addictive as oxycontin, but addictive nevertheless. It causes a degradation in thought processes. Sort of "brain-fog. In and of itself it isn't very good as a pain reliever.
Avatar m tn This is a follow up on one of my previous thread... I met again with my hepatologist today and went over the different options available. So instead of treating right away I am going to do a new liver biopsy in early 2009 (the previous one was 3 1/2 years ago). That way I'll know how much time I can afford to wait.
Avatar m tn Should I try another antibiotic to battle the sinusitis (eg Amoxycillin/Clavulanate 875/125mg) ? Could the sinus infection be causing a problem in the root of a perfectly good tooth? Will a CT scan help? Any other info you can suggest would be appreciated. PS.. I am in Brazil and having some trouble trusting the medical system here.
Avatar n tn I am not sure what you are looking for exactly, but there are some current studies out on low dose interferon only used as maintenance to defer the degradation of the liver. These trial results reflect that it is not helpful.
Avatar n tn As you may know way back when the original practice was to attach EKG leads to the wrists and ankles. Modesty was an issue. You have two problems. Degradation of signal and artifact. With a 12 lead there will be some diminishment of signal. It is a better idea to place the electrodes under the breasts, even though that involves a bit of privacy invasion. This is ocasionally a problem with paramedics, who don't use a 12 lead. An ST depression will usually show up in either case.
Avatar m tn I live in Hong Kong, have cataract and have been trying to choose between multifocal IOLs and Crystalens HD. I tend to prefer Crystalens because of its advantages in reading computer screens and less halos, while realizing its shortcomings in near vision (40cm and under). As Crystalens HD is still kind of under a trial peroid in Hong Kong, it may be more convenient for me to have surgery in Singapore which has passed the trial stage.
Avatar n tn All pulmonary tests show no real change, except for SNIFF which shows a degradation. Phrenic nerve conduction tests also show a worsening. Cannot find a root cause for any of this, and my Drs. don't have any ideas about a tie with right shoulder pain. I have had every test imaginable, and have been on a BiPAP machine to allow me to sleep lying down. Any ideas ? I'm 49 yo, white male. Thanks! - Joe from upstate NY.
Avatar n tn I know many physicians prescribe a steroid to take with lung infections. My personal opinion is that the degradation of the immune response by the prednisone always outweighs the benefits.
Avatar m tn Hi all, your answers to my posts have been reassuring. All informed that HIV begins to die outside the body. However, I am concerned over this post "While the moisture content of bodily fluids would slow down the degradation of the virus outside of the human body, it's not enough to facilitate transmission outside of that 60 second window" http://www.****.com/Forums/AIDS/SafeSex/Q225229.
Avatar f tn You are probably right. The cardio just said he would see me in a year and we will redo the echo in2 years. 3 years ago i had PH now I am under 30 no PH, I also had Mild to moderate Tricuspid regurg now it is mild. Not that I am complaining...
148588 tn?1465778809 The demonstration was the latest in a string of protests sparked by fears of environmental degradation and highlights the social tensions the government in Beijing faces as it approaches a leadership transition this year. ....... An AFP photographer described the scene, saying demonstrators seized bottles of liquor and wine from the offices, along with cartons of cigarettes -- all of which Chinese officials frequently receive as bribes. ........
Avatar n tn You could have done some initial damage years ago and re-injured it with something as simple as a sneeze. Although floaters can occur from other issues, retinal damage or degradation is a common cause. That said, it does not appear to be nerve related based on your symptoms. Either way, I recommend that you see you eye doctor as soon as possible.
Avatar m tn Fortunately your father's doctor were able to diagnose his disease before full blown, end-stage cirrhosis could set in. And, as you indicate, his chelating agent seems to be working well, so the advancing fibrosis should have stopped by eliminating the primary insult. Keep in mind that the liver is amazingly robust and recuperative. If his liver is only in the early stages of cirrhosis, without the full blown architectural changes, things can get better.
Avatar m tn I am not a doctor. I am a community leader here and an experienced eye patient. Please talk with your surgeon. PVD is a normal process but can be a challenge to vision for some. Talk with your cataract surgeon about any risks. If he is concerned about retina detachment, see a retina specialist for advice. You are so correct to proceed cautiously. Dr. Hagan will review your question soon. Welcome to our community. Write back if you need to.

Avatar m tn Sucralfate is a sucrose sulfate-aluminum complex that binds to the mucosa and creates a physical barrier that impairs diffusion of hydrochloric acid and prevents degradation of mucus by acid present in the stomach. Due to the presence of aluminum, it can produce some changes in stool color. This is temporary and resolves after the cessation of treatment, which typically lasts for 2 weeks. Hope this reassures you. There is no harm in taking a multivitamin with an ulcer.
Avatar f tn You do not need an HIV test.....you were not at risk...
