I recently found a medical source that stated ages 5 to 10yrold boys are in an age bracket that has a greater frequency of priapism. I remember that my penis hurt during erections and my erections lasted at least 10 hours on several occasions. The pain would continue after the erection ceased but if the erection didn't return for about a day the pain would gradually diminish. At the next moment the next erection started I felt the pain build up again.
At the same time I noticed I had a small urge to urinate which may have opened the flood gates and the priapism was gone along with the pain but was left with numbness in the penis and testicles for a few minutes after.
It wasn't that common for me to get a priapism and even when I did it was never this painful nor has it been so hard to get rid of. The the painful priapism became more frequent and the swelling of my left testicle worsened over a week and a half.

Priapism is similar to clitorism but the later olny happens to a clitoris and priapism is relatively the same problem and it is better researched. The worst outcome of either is blackening of the erectile organ and infection that is potentially fatal.
So, you had priapism (erect penis for more than 4 hours -- that's an emergency by the way) several months ago and now you can't get erect. Did you not get treatment for the priapism? The longer you let it go if it happens, the greater the chance of a more long term situation. So, impotence has different reasons. Sometimes meds we take can cause it. What meds do you currently take? That can contribute. And a huge reason for impotence is our own mind.
Hello, I take Sildenafil 100mg for ED. It helps but I'm still unsatisfied with how much I can get and maintain an erection. My doctor had me to try alprostadil last year, but it didn't work much. About a month ago, he suggested trimix. To be honest, I can't remember what dose he gave me. It worked amazingly, however my erection lasted over 4 hours, so I had to get the draining blood procedure done.
Sorry to hear that you have the problem of erectile dysfunction and especially after being treated for the priapism. That must have been very painful for you.
I am not a doctor, but I would suggest you make an appointment to see your doctor or a different one or even consider referral to a urologist if your doctor feels this may be helpful.

Oh ya, definitely talk to your doctor! Priapism is the problem. We'd like to think you were just having a lot of sexy dreams but if the erection isn't coming and going during the night, no, that's not the case. Priapism can be ischemic or non ischemic. With ischemic, you are usually soft at the tip but rigid in the shaft and with non ischemic, you are usually erect but not fully rigid. Any of this ring a bell for you? There's different reasons for each one.
I suggest that you study the issue of priapism and get several more medical opinions asap. Even if priapism is not the cause of the lump you found the lump is possibly an internal scar or tumor and either of these can easily induce priapism. Now I do not want to frieghten but many infants get normal erections that can be quite firm. And since the infants penis is not fully toughened prior to puberty it can be injured easily during any of its firm erections.
Regarding Priapism: They say that Priapism is an erection lasting longer than 4 hours. And permanent damage can occur after 4 hours that would result in future erectile dysfunction. My question is what type of erection qualifies for the 4 hours duration? For example sometimes I wake up with a full erection, then go the the bathroom. When I get back to my bed, I notice that my penis is about 30% to 40% erect, but not fully erect.
I actually work with a urologist at a clinic and he did my lithotripsy and stent placement on Monday. I have the worst spontaneous priapism ever. When I brought it up in conversation he said its normal to have this and its the way the urethra wants to expel the stent. It's not fun at at. I've had 2 surgeries for stone removal in less than 2 weeks with no pain medication, I'm allergic to narcotics and opioid. Miserable 2 weeks.
about 2 weeks ago I crashed on a bike and my penis hit the seat. it hurt at first and there was a little pain, like a bruise, for a week or so but nothing was outwardly noticeable.
Then about a week later my penis became semi erect and will not go down or upp fully.

I dont use drugs however these days i take percoset or vicodin all day every day to kill the pain, I do smoke and drink beer on top of those pills when the pain is so intense I just want to pass out and forget i even woke up. And for those who read this and may be interested priapism is extremely painful unlike any you can imagine at times. Ive read this forum and alot are concerned over permanant damage. If you have to question whether its really priapism then it isnt.
Hi Greg, I have reason to sympathize for you. I have had pain like you described in the past. But now I have too much pain in mine to even try sex anymore. I've been getting erections in my sleep that don't let up, they continue too long of time and keep causing small amount of injury in my penis and that led to more and more fibrosis and other scarring to set in.
So, I am studying EMT at the moment and one of the things that we discussed was a priapism, which makes sense. I then got curious about if it could happen to females, and I found a term for it, clitorism, but haven't really been able to find out how it works, what makes it happen, ect. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it, if they could please explain a little bit more.
Stupid i know and this really have me depressed. I think i had a priapism for 16 hours the first time i took three at once. Went to a urologist who just examined me with his hands and said i have no damage and dont worry about the dosages i took just dont do it again im scared because the fda said they contained sildenafil. And i thiught they were all natural. And after i took them the instructions are online it says never go kver one pill every 24 hours.
Hello! I'm 38 from France and I had the same problem with Viagra 9 months ago: one evening I took a pill of Viagra 50 Mgp. This was the 2nd time in my life and it was mostly for reassurance after I divorced. I went asleep at 10pm and, in the middle of the night, I woke up with a strong erection. I masturbated to make the erection stop and it went partially away. 2 hours later I waked up again with another strong erection. This lasted for maybe 8 h.
Finally, since about year he began giving him INVEGA (paliperidone) injection 50 mg which he is fine with it.
The problem is that he has become sperm non-existent as he told me.
Will it disappear in case he stop taking the injection after a long period of use???? I am very confused, particularly as he wants to get married and be a father.
I am a 27 year old male and was recently prescribed Cialis due to sexual side effects I was seeing from depression. I took 3 doses on 5/12 - 25mg, 5/13 - 20mg and 5/18 - 20mg. During that time I never experienced a constant erection that was painful, just recall many erections off and on but none that lasted consistently for hours on end.
As time has progressed I have noticed my penis in a flaccid state has hardened (but is not erect), I have not used Cialis since 5/18.
If he is getting nubness it is possible that he is actually having priapism and thinks he is just okay but he is not aware that his penis is suffering. Priapism is like strangulation internally in a penis. If he has no numbness than be sure that his erection dissipates when he is not being stimulated directly or mentally. Whatever the details are you've said enough to justify getting him to a urologist or neurologist ASAP.
I was givin some of this by a friend and wanted to try it for sleep as I haven't slept in 6 days, but I'm scared of priapism, what are the chances???
About a month ago I was able to lower my self off of paliperidone and onto ziprasidone which is the same category of drug as paliperidone but studies have shown that out of all antipsychotics ziprasidone had the least amount of weight gain. So I’ve been on ziprasidone for about a month now and I’m still losing weight while walking. Sometimes after my walks I only accumulate around 100 calories a day. On days that I splurge a bit and take in around 800 calories a day, I gain weight though.
