painful lump in armpit help

A little over a month ago, a lump started growing in my left armpit. It was hot, tender, painful, and eventually about the width of a quarter. About a week later, it started decreasing in size, until it shrunk to about the size of a dime. By then it was no longer hot or painful, barely noticeable. Then at about 3 weeks it began growing again, not painful, but noticeably larger. After a few days, it started shrinking again. As of right now, it is currently increasing in size, but not extremely.

hello. my boyfriend discovered a painful lump in his armpit last night that has me deeply concerned. he is 23 years old and has not been sick or ill for the past few months. the lump is solid but moveable; and approximately the size of a penny. also there is quite a bit of drainage. he wants me to help him drain it (which i don't mind) but i'm anxious to do so. i don't want to make it worse, or spread the infection.

Hi i'm 21 years old overweight woman. I've been having a lump in my right armpit and it really hurts. The first time i found it was months ago and that time it burst and kinda gone but sometimes it would appear again in my armpit (but not on the same spot), sometimes in my left armpit. I woke up last week with a very painful, golf ball sized lump in my armpit. I went straight to the doctor and he said it isnt a lymph node, and he cut into it to test for staph. the staph test came back negative and he packed it full of gauze for 2 days. When i went back to have the guaze removed, it was still huge and painful, so he sent me to the hospital for an ultrasound.

I have the same exact thing. Huge painful lump in my armpit and one on my labia majora. Dr said they were ingrown hairs that got infected. Have me on antibiotics, lanced the lump in my armpit and gave me a shot of cortisone in the labia majora. I'm in more pain than with three c-sections. Dr said they could be being caused by hormonal changes and being stressed will make it worse. Have to go back in two weeks. So yes, sounds like they are probably related.

I have a lump in my armpit and I don't really know what it is or where is came from. I went to my doctor and he said that it was just a lump and it would go away in a few days. That was 3 weeks ago. Hi, Can someone help me please. The other day I found a small lump under my right armpit. It is the size of a pea or smaller, feels smooth and moves around (sort of springs back and forth). Went to see Dr who said it was nothing that jumped out at her, but to come back in a couple of weeks to check again (I do have me period currently).
