Hi, I was having real pain, nausea, constipation, loss of weight and lack of interest in eating in July of 2008. I pushed through many doctors (internists and gastroenterologists) until I found a doctor willing to actually order tests to delve further into diagnosing what the problem was as all the other doctors (without doing tests of any kind) blamed it on GERD and wrote me prescriptions for Nexium/Achiphex/Carafate all which did nothing.
I'm 33 - fulltime working mother of 2. I've acid reflux for the past 4 years but haven't religiously taken my meds. You just get sick of taking drugs for birth control, hip joints, depression/anxiety, bla bla bla. Anyway, this new pain woke me up in the middle of the night. It was like a clentching pain, then a release.
I am so concerned. The pain under my ribcage and right side is still there and now seems to be radiating to lower right abdomen and lower back. I burp from drinking water...heh...sometimes even when not consuming anything for hours. Stomach gets sour from everything but soup. i live on pepcid AC. No insurance here, so a doc is pretty much out of the question for now. sometimes when lying down i can feel it throb or "pulsing" too.

Thought it could be a heart issue, however I'm only 34 and in pretty good shape. (Played high school sports as a kid) After reading the above I've come to realize that the increased stress and anxiety (new job, new baby, etc.) may cause you to worry at little more that you should.
Three years ago, while pregnant with my daughter I started to feel pain under my left rib cage. The docker thought it was her feet brushing against my ribs. Three years later, I am still in pain. Now the pain won't go away. I have had every test under the sun done. Endoscopy, colonoscopy, upper gi, stress test, heart ultra sound, EKG, five other types of ultrasounds ranging from uterus to spleen to gallbladder. I have had chest x rays too. Recently the pain is so bad sometimes it wakes me.
I am still nursing my child, and this isn't mastitis. For six months I've had stabbing pains in my left breast. I also feel some pain radiating down my arm now and then. I also feel this heaviness, like sometimes it is painful to breathe. I even went to the ER (first time ever) in April, thinking I was having a heart attack. They said it was anxiety with the pending surgery. I've read about IBC, but I have absolutely no visual changes in my breast, just this pain!

Most of my pains are on my left side, I have left flank pain, just about under the rib cage and pain on the bottom left of my stomach. My stool is for the most part normal, I had my gall bladder removed,(another non cancerous growth) and each day my bowel movements can range from soft to hard, but I attribute that to my surgery several years ago. I had a cat scan done on my Liver stomach normal, spleen normal, pancreas normal.

Also a pain radiating to the back could be due to pancreatitis. Hi am expiriencing the same exact pain as you! I have very back pain in my upper back next to and under my left shoulder blade, and I have the pain in my chest too, that feels like it is radiating through my back into my chest, right in my left breast. When I put my arm down the pain is between my elbow and my shoulder, right at the rib area. The pain starts right under my breast into to rib area around the leftside if my back. I AM UNABLE to EAT BLAND OR OTHER FOODS WITHOUT A STABBING pain IN MY UPPER LEFT back (breast LEVEL). THE pain radiates FROM UNDER THE LEFT breast THRU to THE back. PLEASE ADVISE.
The stabbing sensation completely bypasses my breasts. I don't know how to say it other than I can simply feel the pain *under* the breast tissue. The wrist pain, on the other hand, most frequently occurs in my right arm, usually upset by writing or using a mouse (I can only write about 12-15 lines on notebook paper before I have to stop and rub my wrist so I can start writing again).
Is this anything to worry about. Could it just be back pain or muscle strain that is radiating to the breast? The breast is still that same color as the other one and to look at it there is no difference from the other one. There is also no difference in the way one breast feels to the touch from the other. I just feel that there is some very slight swelling.or fullness. Is this just a perimenopausal symptom? Or should I be worried about cancer?
I have pain behind my left shoulder blade that is radiating around my left ribcage almost into my chest. The pain also goes down the backside of my upper arm. It's the most anoying pain. The skin down my arm is amost hyper sensitive, a tingling sensation. Does anyonelse have this. I've been dealing with this for over a year now, it went away for awhile but is back. I'm only 31 years old, have always been very active. I constantly worry about what this is which probably doesn't help.
Nothing has helped and I now hurt all the time with the pain radiating along the ribs to the back. It is comforting to now that I am not the only one. The last gastro doctor suggested that it was stress which only upset me more.
I am 50 year old female. I have pain on my left side just under my breast which I can also feel in my back (same place as front). People are telling me I pulled a muscle, ate something that didn't agree with me, have gas or have cold in my chest. Should I worry and go see a Doctor?
to Everyone I have been looking for answers to my back problem for a while...I also have this "spot" on my left upper back (right under where my bra goes around). It feels like ants crawling in there. Sometimes a slight burning sensation. I itch it constantly..even when I out...people probably think I'm nuts. I can't stand it sometimes. I actually have the skin almost raw in that area. This started about a year ago. Sometimes I feel soreness all the way down my left side.
