Pain that feels like contractions during ovulation

Common Questions and Answers about Pain that feels like contractions during ovulation

contractions

I break out into a sweat, almost passing out sometimes, it feels like a long, intense labor pain that will not go away (the ovulation pain is being referred to here). Usually lasts about an hour or two, but has lasted longer, just not as severe, as I take 4 Ibuprofen or Advil, as recommended by my doctor (he too told me this pain is very common). I have to lie down in bed for a while, until the meds take effect. This last time, that didn't even take it totally away. Normally it does.
I have had that ovulation pain too, even before I had the cyst. Does anyone know if the cramping from the cyst might be worse during ovulation? Thanks!
Looks like a lot of us are experiencing similar things. I'm 32 weeks and last few days have been feeling PMS or Ovulation type cramps not strong at all, but just nagging uncomfort which comes on once or twice a day. Yesterday I had an appt with a high risk pregnancy doc, but he said it's normal especially since I'm having twins. He didn't even check my cervix this time. So I'm assuming I have nothing to worry about.
no one told me that strechmarks can stretch to pubic area.
) The doctors insist that it is a hormonal imbalance causing the bleeding and when I mention the bleeding during bowel movements they look at me like I am crazy. Like they've never heard of it before. I was gratified to see all the postings here because I too was convinced I must have cancer somewhere and that they just couldn't find it. It seems we have all had the same tests with the same results - nothing!
I have never had a baby, but it feels like contractions might...its a dull, indescribable pain that leaves me shaking and wanting to go the bathroom etc etc. When it eventually dissipates, it goes in waves, until about 30 minutes after my run it is as if nothing happened (feeling normal feels like bliss at this point)....never met anyone with this problem...a doctor put me on the pill for it once but that didn;t really help.....
You may experience pelvic pain during ovulation, a sharp pain deep in the pelvis during intercourse, or pain during bowel movements or urination. Excessive bleeding. You may experience occasional heavy periods (menorrhagia) or bleeding between periods (menometrorrhagia). Infertility. Endometriosis is first diagnosed in some women who are seeking treatment for infertility.
I had an baby got an epidural, since the epidural I been having severe lower back pain and numbness and tingling in my right. Now this what the doctor have told me since. Before I tell can tell you can you tell me the probem. One doctor told me I haveBack Pain with Sciatica, Hematuria and he went on im his notes I have MS and the MS is called Arthralgia and Muscle problem.
My friend and I both experience a pain like you have described during mestration only, that we actually refer to as "labor pains" because that's the only thing we could think to describe it as...ironically enough we've both never had children. I'm not sure what it is, but something with the period cycle seems to trigger it for both of us.
Since about 3 days ago, I've been having pain that feels like it's getting progressively worse with each day, and my discharge is no longer watery, it's got consistency to it and yellowish in color. I can feel mild pain just sitting here while I'm not moving now, and it's much worse when I cough or when I first sit down or walk--maybe from the pressure of the thuds.
If you have fallen or been hit it makes this likely. One final condition that also can produce pain like this is costo-chondritis. Its inflammation in the cartalge between the ribs and can be very painful, but very treatable. Hope this helps, and check out www.chirofacts.
Most days I felt like I was in labour, my stomach looked like I was about 7 months pregnant and I could literally see my stomach harder like contractions during labour. I went to my doctor and told him I thought I had an ovarian cyst, because of my pain, bloating and the irregular menstrual bleeding. He did a pelvic exam and thought so too so sent me for an ultrasound. There was nothing wrong and no cyst'/s seen.
If no conception has occurred, exactly 14 days after ovulation the menstrual period will begin. During menstruation, the uterine lining is sloughed and comes out as the menstrual flow. The uterus in effect, cleans itself down to the "roots" and the whole process begins again. If pregnancy occurs, menstruation does not, but that is another story! So, to simplify even further and summarize: The cycle starts with menstruation.
In a 2002 position paper on nutrition and pregnancy, the ADA warned against excessive intakes of vitamin A, which has been shown to cause birth defects at levels above 10,000 IU daily during early pregnancy. That warning is still very much a concern among experts today, who note that while most supplements contain half that amount (5,000 IU), some do go as high as 10,000—and that pills aren't the only source.
I know many women have asked this question before, so I wanted to post a journal entry about getting my period after D&C. I had to get a D&C on April 2, 2008 after finding out that my pregnancy was non-viable/missed abortion. My doctor told me I should start my cycle within 4-6 weeks after the D&C, and I started my period yesterday, May 4, 2008. I thought it would be a light cycle following the D&C, but it actually seems to be heavier than normal.
I am not even having fun with it anymore. Before it was exciting to bd and now it feels like a job. I decided to stop with everything and go back to having fun and letting it happen when it happens. Good luck in ttc. One bit of advice i can tell you is to lay down for awhile after, at least 30-45 mins. Don't get right up to use the bathroom.
If anyone knows if I am right or wrong please let me know. I am still hopeful that even though this is our 1st try that it will work. I see so many woman on here have there 1st try be a success :-) Feb 01, 2012 ..I had my ultra sound today. went with a full badder was ready to burst and they said oh no it needs to be empty. Everything looked Good uterus is measuring at 3.3 cm thin dr said that was normal and good No cysts and saw 6 follis in right ovary and 5 in the left.
I'm really feeling discomfort this morning well I've only had maybe a total of 3hrs of sleep contractions wake me up and so does the pressure today makes week 41 and I'm just flat out miserable I feel so tired but I can't lay down with out more pressure I can't walk around without extra pressure and sitting up well then it seems the only thing that doesn't add extra pressure I've been told taking warm baths should release the pain but last night all it did was make a warm feeling on my body o
For the past week, I have been having very mild cramping after sex. It feels like PMS cramps. Should this be something to worry about? Could this be a symptom that I won't be able to conceieve?
My 14-year-old daughter was diagnosed 2 days ago with paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (without W-P-W). She had her first ever episode and I took her to the ER. Her pulse was 223 bpm. The doctor told her to "bear down" (vagal maneuver), which worked and brought her pulse down to a normal range. She has since been seen by a pediatric cardiologist and we have a good understanding of SVT and the fact that it is not life-threatening, and understand treatment options, etc.
Thank you all for your response kindness, concern, and advice!I really feel welcome and that means alot. Well, even though 3 months feels like a lifetime to my empty arms now, if waiting will assist in my child surviving, I certainly have no problem with that. God has wrapped his arms around me and I know that my son..my angel is looking out for me, and my husband. We go to see his grave site every night, and play him the lullaby that we played for him while he was in my tummy.
I cannot avoid it however when it happens in dreams and I wake up in so much pain. The only thing I have seen that helps the pain is an herbal wrap that you heat up(you can get them @ walmart), and I lay that on my stomach. I have been on the depo shot for four years, I have asked if this is a contributing factor and have been told no. I have no kids. I hope someone comes up with an explanation, because I am too young to be giving up on my sex life!
The whole car ride here there was just soooo much pressure down low. And both of my sides are killing me like they do during ovulation. Last I knew at 29 weeks, I had a 3cm ovarian cyst on the right side. Could it be growing or rupturing?? I have had cysts since I was 15 and they always rupture but it never felt like this....but I wasn't ever pregnant either! lol I am hesitant to call my doctor if this is just a normal pregnant thing (not to mention he won't care anyhow...
I am now 4DPO and having really bad stomach pains, it feels like i need to pass wind(TMI i know) but can't do it, it's like i need a needle to pop my stomach it's so uncomfortable. Apart from that nothing really different from any other month but i've given up on looking for symptoms as AF and pre-pregnancy are too much alike. Best of luck everyone!!!
I have only spotting since the procedure, about six months after my procedure I started have severe cramping and was told to take over the counter ibuprofen which helps if i take 600-1000mg at a time the pain starts out as a mild cramping in my lower abdomen them it will become severe almost like contractions on either my left or right side. The pain is so severe that it brings me to my knees or i will rock back and forth in the fetal position.
I feel like I am but then again I am getting these cramps like my period is comming. Is it possible that I am pregnant or is my cycle changing? Need your help.
I've had this Cramping in my left side...it feels like a hard tight ball that cramps (if that makes any sense) and than it will move all across my tummy but feels like its right behind my belly button. Almost feels like there's a lot of pressure or bubbles in there. Like my insides are expanding, little twinges...so hard to explain! I was starving for dinner, took one bite and than felt sick. An hour later I was hungry...and the last couple nights I've been having a really hard time sleeping..
Hey, you sound like me, two boys, three brothers. I have lots of neices though. too many, one nephew. I would LOVE to have a girl. I'd be happy just to be pregnant though, I don't want to sound choosey. I can't remember alot about my other pregnancies, they were so long ago, over 10 year. It's great having your children when you are really young, they like it too. My boys think I'm cool and so do their friends. I will listen to their crazy music and sing with them too.
Also having the back pain and the pain is worse on the right side. I agree with jrd325 - feels more like contractions than menstral cramps. At 40 my options for birth control are getting fewer, I sure hope these cramps go away. Anyone had bad cramps for several weeks after???
