Not all treatments for pain involve addictive medications and regardless its better to be a safe dose of a known medication that take above the reccomended dose of an over the counter medication as there could be dangerous effects.

Avatar m tn Well the pains aren't really coming from your liver so to speak because it has no nerves inside it to sense pain. Most likely it's a form of IBS which hep patients frequently get. Try eating very bland food and things you know don't bother you for a while and see how that goes. Stay away from fried foods too.
