I had a total hystorctomy when i was 32 (9 years ago) I did take HRT but i stopped it of my own accord. I have had the pain for three days now (it wakes me up at night too) I take some painkillers for this but it does not take the pain away completly.
I have been having a dull pain in my left armpit for a few months, and aches in my left breast. On occassions, I would feel pain in my right breast. I saw my PCP in November, and she suggested that I cut down on caffiene. I saw my gyn today and described my symptoms, after a breast exam, she though she felt a thickening in both breasts, but a little more in my left. The thickening is between the right and the left breast, and was tender to touch. I go for my mammogram and ultrasound on 1/23.

Add to it that the area between my breast and armpit stays continuously swollen...almost looks like another little puffy breast trying to grow! From time to time, the lump is painful...but lately it has been sore for the past 2 weeks. The pain extends into my arm. My grandmother had to have a mastectomy due to a tumor in her breast. My mother has to go every 6 months for a mammogram because of lumps in her breast due to scar tissue from reduction surgery.
I had an ultra sound done for the second time and found that I had 7cyst in my right breast. Some big and some little. I was having alot of pain in my breast and in my right arm. The day before I meet with my doctor I discovered a lump under my right arm pit and it was very painful I would say it is the size of a pea. My regular doctor said that it was lymp nodes and it would go away.
is is normal to have an ache that comes and goes for a couple of months in the armpit / breast area AND what does an enlarged lymph node feel like? How big are they (size of pea or do they need to be larger to be enlarged?
And can you feel a lump in armpit and not feel anything in the breast? How big is a lymph node and what does it feel like under your arm? Thank you for any information you can give.

Every time I feel the pain in my left breast, there's also a corresponding pain in my back and left shoulder. Sometimes the pain is mild. Other times it is so severe. Right now, the pain is radiating to my left arm. My left breast nipple and the skin in my left arm are itchy.
For the past 4-5 months I have been experiencing on and off armpit rib and breast pain. This has been accompanied by on and off diahrea which has settled down but I feel my stomach has never been the same. I have had a swollen lymph node behind my right ear for about the same time (same size but has gone down since the doctor prescribed me ceferoxil) and had a sore lymph node in armpit which was gone in 2 days since the doctor gave me ceferoxil.
The actual pain in the spot went away after a good 10 days, but then I started to feel pain on the side of my left breast and in armpit. it was mostly tender and sore, no lumps. But worrisome. My period came went and came again...and the tenderness never left. I am also 39, and thinking I am going thru perimenopause...and just about any ache or weird thing I was checking out. I started to notice I had a kind of tingling down my arm. Felt somewhat numb, but not really---down to my hand.
I also get pain in one armpit in general. it also itches and the pain radiates to the back of the arm. I don't know what it is either, but would really like to know if it's associated with Hashi's or not. Very strange.
Hi Welcome to the MedHelp forum! pain in the armpit can be due to heat intolerance and due to sweat dermatitis. it is also possible due to peripheral artery disease. Peripheral neuropathies as in diabetes, chemical burns due to any deo or lotions you use, peripheral nerve compression are the other possibilities. Nerve conduction studies and color dopplar should be done. If all this is ruled out then it can be thoracic outlet syndrome. Take care!
Occasionally (once every two/three months) I feel some sharp pain but in the right breast not in the accessory. Recently, in the last 6 months, I also noticed a lump in the left armpit too - almost the size of a tennis ball. Neither of them hurt. I do not consider these a "cosmetic issue", I have only chosen to live with them silently out of fear that removing them might lead to complications or my pictures may be splattered over medical journals....
I cannot assure it is something related to breast cancer. My mom had it too and removed it. Breast cancer runs in my family. When I touch it, around it there's nothing but right in the middle I can feel a bean-size lump. I notice that there was some pain but i didn't realize it until just a few days ago. I read also it is something related to pregnancy which I am not. Any answers will be appreciated..
I had a MRI due to palpative lump in right axilla which caused pain and feeling of fullness and right shoulder pain that radiated to neck and to bicep and thumb and forefinger, then if that was not enough I developed nonhealing scalp lesions that burned and caused stabbing sharp pains to the area of scalp the lesions of scalp were biopsied 1st time "lichen planus" which at the same time a open excision biopsy of the right axilla was performed to send lymph tissue to pathology but the t
I have been experiencing extreme pain in the right breast that has put me in the hospital overnite. I had 2 ultrasounds on the breast and a mamogram. The drs. said the lymph nodes in my right breast close to my arm pit (that's where the worst pain in the breast is located) are irratated and inflammed. I am on pain meds.. What comes next? Why do/how lymph nodes get like this? I am a 38 year old female with a 16 year old son.
it concerns me too that it’s only in one breast and is in a localized area. I hope that it's not cancer. My OB informed me that it's harder to detect any abnormal lump or cyst right now because I'm pregnant. My grandmother had breast cancer in her later years, but that's the only family history. Could it be swollen lymph nodes? If so, what causes lymph nodes to become inflamed?
