I have mid back pain and it seems to radiate to my chest cavity and my stomach area. I also have a fatty liver that's just been diagnosed and I also have anemia. I used to be a heavy drinker for about 20 years and off and on for the past 10 years. More off than on but I occasionally binged drink. I have made it a priority to finally stop drinking for good as I am now 43 years old and have two young children.

THE CHEST PAIN STARTED IN THE CENTRE OF MY CHEST AND RADIATED INTO MY ABDOMEN. THE CHEST PAIN STARTED TO COME ON WHEN I WAS IN BED ON TUESDAY 23.29. WHEN SITTING ON MY COMMODE A FEW MINUTES LATER, MY LEGS STARTED TO HURT (AS THOUGH BLOOD WAS BEING STOPPED). THE NEXT CHEST PAIN WAS AT 12.06 AND LASTED UNTIL 12.17. THIS WAS CENTRAL CHEST PAIN AND THIS ALSO HURT ON BREATHING IN. MY CHEST FELT LIKE I HAD A HEAVY WEIGHT ON IT AND I ALSO HAD A TIGHTNESS ACROSS THE IN THE CENTRE OF MY CHEST.
I originally thought my back pain was coming from the esophagitis but I continue to have the pain in spite of the PPI. The pain comes and goes and may last from one day to two weeks. It doesn't seem to be related to anything. I have tried heat, ice, pain meds, even a steroid for costochondritis(didn't work). My question is: Do you think something could have happened during a chiro visit and if so what can or should I do to get some relief?
I continue to get severe RUQ pain that comes and goes. When it comes it feels as if I am having a heart attack. The chest pain is about 24/7 when it is present. Has anyone experienced this symptom? I had this pain before GB surgery. My doc attributes this new pain to GERD and IBS. Sounds like it's time to get a new doc.
You could have something wrong with some muscles in your chest, in your stomach or something else but it sounds like the pain is strong enough you should seek out medical advice. The good news is serious chest pain likely wouldn't come and go but don't take this lightly, just go see your doctor. Take care and keep us posted on how you are doing.
Hoping someone has an answer-I am experiencing back pain that radiates to my left shoulder to my chest, about where my nipple is. My doctor did a blood test and sent me for a MRI. The blood test cme back normal, the MRI revealed a right side protrusion and some degeneration at T6-7. He told me to see a chiropractic doctor, Which I have scheduled. I might be crazy but I am worried something else is wrong with me. I am most worried about the pain in my chest.
What specifically can cause chest pain with radiation to shoulders and back besides heart? My GI doc has taken a wait and see approach but he's not having the pain! I have had some vague right lower quadrant pain. What could cause that? Could they be related? Can you have a dysfunctional gallbladder without the typical nausea and vomiting? (I don't have stones). Please give me something to go on. Thanks!
Severe pain from ribs radiating from ribs to upper chest to middle and lower back. Lower back spasms and ribs cramping.
I have had acid reflux for 10 years and a double dose of prilosec usually would take care of it but just recently i started having chest pains and arm pains like i was having a heart attack. i went to a new doctor and they pricked my finger and ran a test that took 5 mins. she said i had H.pylori which is a bacterial infection of the esophagus. thats something you could tell your doctor to check you for and if thats the case then they put you on some antibiotics.
5 year old son. Anyway, the pain seems to radiate into my chest muscles and when I bend over or recline in a certain position it feels super tight in my back and chest when I get back up or stretch out. Any ideas what might be causing this? Massages have helped a little...but not for very long.
The rest of the times I've ever had that pain it was something to do with my heart which I've had problems with, and a slipped disc in my neck which radiates pain elsewhere, such as the chest/shoulder/back. Has any of that been ruled out? I also have a irregular heartbeat and have been told by all my doctors it's nothing to be alarmed about. I don't know about calling the same doctor again. I know it's frustrating, what about going to a totally new doctor?
My boyfriend has been complaining about a chest and back pain on his right side for about a week now. It came totally out of the blue. Its causing him to have constant anxiety attacks, nausea, no appetite, shakes, and he has trouble breathing at times. He says he feels like hes dying. Tuesday night he was brought to the emergency room, where he had an EKG. Everything should up fine, so the doctor put him on .25mg of clonazepam for the panic attacks.
yesterday I noticed I was having sharp chest pain that was pronounced with each heartbeat. Couldn't lie on my left side last night to sleep. Lying on my right side, I felt fine and slept well. After my shower this morning, the pain came back. Thought it was just bad reflux so took Mylanta - no help at all. Pain waxed and waned all day. Better when leaning forward or taking a deep breath. Worse with expiration. Somewhat short of breath as well.
I'm 39 and a year ago started with symptoms of chest pain, arm numbness, high blood pressure, back pain, and head tention. Been in and out of hospital with everything normal. Had EKG and echo stress done and everything thing normal. Had massage done and it took care of back, neck, and head tention. But still feel funny. There are still moments that chest, and jaw discomfort re appear and feel bad internally like there could be a problem with the heart. I just don't know anymore...
