Looks like you have a lower respiratory infection with pleuritis. The pleura, the lining of the chest cavity and lungs can get inflamed leading to pleuritis, causing pain with coughing. It can occur due to local causes like recurrent lung infections. As the infection subsides your symptoms of pleurisy should resolve. But sometimes the pleuritis is known to recur. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Hello. About three weeks ago, I began having ear pain in both ears; along with popping from what felt like fluid in the ear. I went to an Express Care doctor, and he diagnosed me with an ear infection and prescribed Amox. I strarted to feel better after a few days, but I began to feel sick again while still taking the Amox. Yesterday, I felt a few lumps on the back and side of my neck, as well as my chest; all on the right side. I went to a different doctor and told him the situation.

Now it's Sunday and I still have pain tightness and heaviness.

i have been getting sharp pains in my lest side for 3 or 4 month now, i saw cardiologist and he said it was some kind of infection and gave me PAIN Killer and now i started to have pain on the RIGHT side with dry cough. What should i do?
If your mucus is discoloured like dark yellow to dark green and you get it by coughing then you have a bad infection in your chest. The pain is probably due to the coughing and the irritation of the infection and inflammation. If the mucus feels like its coming from the base of your chest then it suggests that the infection is quiet low down your respiratory tract.
Any time you have chest pain no matter what your age is I recommend calling your Dr, going to the hospital or a med center. It could be a gall bladder attack. Or it could be something else. It's best to be on the safe side and get medical attention.
Hi, Has a chest xray been done to rule out any rib fracture, chest infection, or air in the pleural space? There could be several causes of the symptoms you are having including a muscle pull, injury or trauma at the site, chest infection, etc. Do you have any associated symptoms? You should apply some local pain relief medications, take some oral pain relief medications, maintain a proper posture throughout the day, try some warm compresses.

Hi! For pain below your bra line, stomach ache and chest pain, you need to rule out the following conditions. The symptoms could be exacerbation of the GERD or gastric reflux. It could also be hiatal hernia. Treatment is a combination of drugs to reduce the acid and lifestyle changes.
For the last couple of years, I have had slight pain in the lower part of my chest at the back. During the winter months I have a debilitating cough which will last from september to about april. The cough is mostly dry and once I start I can't stop, especially first thing in the mornings. The pain in my chest has increased over the last couple of days, which is my concern. I have frequent night chills and sweats, am experiencing flu-like symptoms and often have a raised temperature.
Hi, I have been having chest pains, usually in the upper left side of my chest or in the center part of my chest, and a sensation of not being able to fully inhale because it hurts. This usually happens shortly after exercise and sometimes when Im laying down even if I haven't exercised. My dad suffers of high cholesterol levels and he recenlty had a bypass surgery. Could these pains be related to an unhealthy heart?
i am haveing chest pain on the upper right lobe (right beho=inf my breast) it has been hurting for about 7-8 days now. it really hurts when i cough, breath in deeply, stretch back. thinking it may be a pulled muscle i have waited. can it be a pulled chest muscle without knowing or should x-ray be needed?
A number of things can cause it, but if you suspect it might be your heart, you should go to the emergency room immediately! Costochondritis and esophageal spasms can also give chest pain & difficulty breathing can also make it feel tight I believe.
Anytime you have chest pain you should check with your doctor. It can be just your chest wall, a pinched nerve, a bruised rib etc. Or you could have an upper respitory infection or something going on in your lungs. Your doc can give you a full run over and let you know the best steps to take.

I've had a bas cough for about10 days now, I went to the doctor on Sunday (after the peak flow dropped to about 300 on double inhaler). I was told I've got a chest infection, given the usual steriods and antibiotics. After making the mistake of attempting to go to work on Monday I've been at home (I couldn't walk upstairs without needing inhaler). I was feeling better yesterday evening, peak flow back up to 380 (which is about 85%) and was able to walk up and down stairs without a cough.
I have been have episodes of left chest pain and jaw pain for about 2 months. I have had a stress echo which was normal. I had a cardiac ct with calcium scoring in which my calcium score was 0 and my arteries were clear ( they couldn't see my right coronary artery completely but they assured me it wasn't my heart). I have been on Nexium for my stomach and have been referred to a GI doctor but I continue to have this pain and jaw tightness.
