Common Questions and Answers about Pain chest back taking deep breath

chest

2 days ago I noticed sudden pain in my right back area when i bent over or took in a deep breath. Now, I can move w/o pain but there is still a sharp pain with deep breaths. I am otherwise a healthy 31 y/o female. I have been diagnosed with RA in the past but have been in remission for the last few years (per blood tests) however, I still feel swollen joints and aches associated with RA. Any thoughts on what this right sided pain could be?? Thanks for your help.
I have mild back pain mostly on the left side but it does go across the mid back when taking a deep breath. The pain the worse when my lungs are fully expanded. i have been experiencing increased burping and have some tightness in the upper chest area. I do experience panic attacks, but control with medication upon need.
I also find myself out breath even when I'm sitting down on a few occasion (I need to take several deep breathing to get myself back to normal) though the chest pain and short breath did not occur at the same time. Beside that, I found myself waking in the middle of the night on 3 occasions with chill. I'm a non-smoker nor a drinker. Is there any problem with my heart?

i woke this morning breathing better but this time it was harder to breathe standing and sitting. i did a bit of research and found that facing the pain and taking a deep breath would help. it did not. should i go see a doctor or just leave it be?
My daughter is now having quite severe upper left chest pain after taking medication for the relief of menstrual cramps today. She took ibuprofren and later acetimenophtn. What could be causing this? She has has this same type reaction 2 times before this and we have taken her to the emergency room. The first time they said it was from the Mucinex, an over the counter medication she was taking for sinus problems.
Thought it was just bad reflux so took Mylanta - no help at all. Pain waxed and waned all day. Better when leaning forward or taking a deep breath. Worse with expiration. Somewhat short of breath as well. Some radiation to left lower rib cage area, left arm and left neck. No heaviness in my chest or crushing type pain. Had eaten chili the day before, so avoided that at lunch today and took Pepto-Bismol - no help at all. Was able to work all day.
Right now, the back pain, chest pain, nausea, and weird almost blurriness/lightheadedness are making me wonder if I should be in the ER. But as a 26 year old woman, I'm afraid it will be a waste of money since they may not even consider me at risk enough to do any cardiac tests.
does not smoke...takes only aleve and lamicil. He has been having his body taking a involuntary deep breath on its own...he doesnt think he needs to see a dr. but I am worried about him. He says it doesn't happen at night but last night I heard him take a deep breath in the middle of his sleep. He says he is fine with no other symptoms. I think he is more fatigued than usual but he contributes it to being older. Should I be a nag and get him to the drs. office?
I was the same and it took quite a bit of effort to retain because chest breathing was habitual after many years. Iwould get some chest pain - the chest muscles fatigue easily whereas the diaphragm has a different type of muscle and doesn't get fatigued. Try searching on HYPERVENTILATION syndrome - which is really chest breathing. good luck. This is just from my expereince and what I've read.
And it is possible to shift the control of breathing from the diaphragma to the lungs which isn't normal.hence the chest pain.. I found that if i try taking deep breaths using my diaphragma i succeed in getting satisfied all the time and stop feeling compelled to yawn. I also think that it isn't anxiety that causes this . But this that causes anxiety which worsens the symptoms.. Another thought . .
It takes awhile to heal and causes something to prevent you from taking a deep breath. Not the kind of stinging back pain, but more the kind that happens when you injure a muscle and it's stopped sting but hasn't heled yet. I say this because my latest bought started when I added back muscles to my workout routine. I was taking the drug Androgel and figured that since I was taking testosterone I'd might as well work out, since it's like an anabolic steroid.
My hands even starts to close together now - both hands. When I breath in, my chest feels tight like its pushed in and some pain in the center of my chest. I am also starting to feel some pain in my back between my spine and my shoulder. Dr. diagnosis me asthma/stress/anxiety. Prescibe me with symbicort, salbutamol, lorazepam, and ativan. This seem to help a bit. My symtoms seem to still get worse. I had all these test done and it came back normal.
I hope this might help someone. I have been suffering from similar symptoms for about 10 months. I always felt like I had to yawn and couldn't get a satisfying breath. My neck, back, & chest were always sore. After tons of research and trying different things, I found something called "Chronic Hyperventilation Syndrome". I didn't feel like I was hyperventilating, but when I looked up the symptoms, it was like a check list of everything I had been feeling.
) Lightheadedness cointinues, evening chest pain has gotten worse (pulling from the center, pain in back around right arm, pain both sides of chest) and I've noticed what feels like less efficient and more frequent deep breaths. Thanks for reading :) Any Opinions?
I continuously had mild chest pain for few minutes and felt shortness of breath for weeks so I made a trip my the same cardiologist. He performed echo cardiogram and repeated my blood test and had my lipid checked. Everything came back normal. Still after months, I do feel chest pain on left side and shortness of breath nearly twice a week. When i feel a chest pain it dooms me and I think that I might have a heart attack .
The next day the pain subsided unless I took a deep breath or yawned, and the same sharp very concentrated pain would come back. To the point I almost couldn't finish sentences and I became short of breathe. Its hard to pin point a spot of the pain it seems like it is almost moving a little bit. It is very painful, but I can't seem to figure out what it is and and really have no idea. Has anyone had, heard of, or seen something similar or know what this is? Please help.
It feels like someone is sitting on my chest. I don't have chest pain or any coughing, and I also don't have any sinus problems. My chest feels very tight, and it feels almost as if my lungs are shrinking. It is possible that it is anxiety related. This problem has come and gone over the period of years, but it is really bothering me now. The problem only seems to get worse when I try to relax. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated! Thank you!
However, over the past week, I’ve been experiencing a mild pain in the middle of my chest that has me worried. I noticed that it hurts when I move around or press on it but I haven’t done anything that could have caused an injury. It also hurts when I take a deep breath, so at first I thought that the cold I had recently was coming back, but I don’t have a cough or any trouble breathing. I tried taking Advil and it helped temporarily, but then the aching came back. Should I be concerned?
I have pain in my left arm and shoulder with numbness, and pain in my right arm. The chest pain is still the same. I have pain in my jaw, back, neck, and upper ribs. I also get tingling in my fingers on my right hand. I don't know if these are signs of a heart attack or the symptoms of what my doctor still thinks it is Costochondritis?
