rehab

Avatar n tn I lived in Chicago and I am looking for a clinic or Doctor that prescribes suboxine. I don't have insurance and am trying to find a place that is not very expensive. I called one place and they wanted $3000 for the treatment and said the pills would be an additional $750. They said the treatment lasts 6 weeks. I have read a lot about this and have sen some posts that said they were OK within a couple of weeks.
Avatar m tn Back again after relapsing again after a week clean longest I've ever made it before going back I guess that's a very small victory. My wife doesn't know I relapsed again, but the subject of why I hadn't checked into rehab did. I feel like I need some sort of maintenance, due in the least to my chronic pain. Are these options that will be offered to me in rehab? I just don't see a scenario where I succeed on my own, but I have too.
Avatar f tn But my question is, I seen on the list of doctors a Clinic in Chicago called the Diamond Heachache Clinic, with a Dr. Merle Diamond, has anyone been to this clinic or been to any specialist in Chicago, please let me know.
Avatar f tn My parents pulled her out of school, sent her to rehab, and she seemed to be getting control of her eating disorder. At rehab she became very close with her now husband, whom I'll call Brian, by talking on the phone with him practically every day (he was still in Texas, where they both were attending college; she was in Illinois, near my parents for a six-week in-patient rehab program. Carol and Brian grew close because they shared difficult situations.
Avatar n tn Just trying to find out what may be the cause of weakness in left arm and pain when I move it a certain way. Pain only shows up when I move certain way-it is a sharp pain and it used to be also under my armpit. I am not able to swing a golf club anymore, that's when it hurts most. Cannot lift much weight anymore with left arm also.
Avatar f tn My fiance was diagnosed with this and just had his surgery and after 7 years of incredible weight loss, pain and vomiting i am kind of on a mission to reach out to anybody strugling to find out what these symptoms mean without wondering for years! Matt had so many CT scans, colonoscopies, endoscopies, and even a full g.i. series but it takes a skilled radiologist who is familiar with this to recognize the mesenteric angle being less than normal.
Avatar f tn Please let me know if you can recommend a doctor? I live within an hour of Chicago and would love any recommendations. I have been researching online and there seem to be alot more treatment options out there. Thank you!
1093638 tn?1257955788 Now I begged, borrowed, and stole to stay out of pain until I got fed up with it and went to rehab. They noticed that my pain was for real and started me on methadone which works great.I couldnt find a Dr to prescribe it so I ended up at a meth clinic that I spent thousands at. This was in Arizona. We moved to Alabama and I found a Dr to prescribe it until we had a falling out about a 6 hour wait in his waiting room.
Avatar f tn bilateral - means both sides of the face typical tn is the sharp or jabbing or "electrical" type of pains that come and go. atypical tn is more of a constant pain. There are also other types of facial neuralgias. You really need to talk to a facial pain specialist to have the correct diagnosis. Usually you can find a facial pain specialist at a large teaching hospital that has a pain clinic.
Avatar m tn Hi, My name is joey and i am 26 years old. I fell ill with a myriad of horrible symptoms almost 2 years ago (20months). I had had postural tachy, still do; horrible adrenaline surges, feeling like I had the flu and adrenaline, but literally all the time, not episodic; basically fill like I wanted to die, literally. I wasn't in panick just pain, but the sy,proms debilitated me and consequently caused panic. So, I was like this, acutely, for about 8 months, then made a truly good recovery.
Avatar n tn alot of us have been to rehab, i only did a lil bit , more for detox.. but i know alot about it, as many friends and family have gone thru it..
Avatar f tn I was going to go to the Cleveland Clinc and see Dr. Mark Lucino but the Clinic does not take out of state Medicaid any longer. I am having extreme issues and need an MRI soon as Possible I live in Indiana...and really don't trust any Doc's around here...Any Suggestions..anyone know of a specialist in the Chicago area?
7853005 tn?1394747059 The walls which too many in the medical profession build around Lyme are indeed bad news. Lyme affects the whole body and many of its systems and functions, including endocrine and neurological. The approach of seeing a Lyme doc who understand addiction may indeed be more effective than going into rehab with docs who don't understand Lyme. I don't know anyone who has seen Dr A, but he has a good reputation, as I recall.
Avatar f tn What state are you in ? A lot of states have county funding to cover rehab for those uninsured . I am in nj and worked at a rehab and people's stay was totally covered. Try checking your local resources and I'm sure there is some help out there .
1692732 tn?1311437111 I am on gababpentin, celebrex, amitriptyline and lortab. Some of these meds are also for nerve pain from my tethered spinal cord. I am still wondering if I might have chiari, but my neuro doc at mayo said the MRI didn't show it. This has gone on so long that I am thinking about another opionion. I've checked around at Mayo, and I can't see that they have a specialist there, and if they do, it is for children. I would be willing to go anywhere in MN, WI, or IL. I see there is a Dr.
Avatar f tn t even put me in the position to go to the pain clinic since I just recently clean before my last surgery I got my script of oxycodone from pain clinic and specifically asked them what I was suppose todo after surgery about medication. Since I signed a wavier at clinic that I wouldn't get any pain meds from another dr. She told me to stop taking theirs take the ones from surgeon until he released me back to clinic which normally u stay with surgeon for 3 months after surgery.
Avatar f tn Very Sorry for what you have been through. I have also been through 3 1/2 weeks of rehab--and started again bc of pain (but after the hell of the last 2 + years, I think I can deal with that pain now). During this last 2 + years (especially the 10 months I have lived post Soma and Clonazapam), I have realized the havoc this drug has worked on my mind. I am sure that since you have tried to quit so many times, you understand the mental hell too.
Avatar m tn Everything went very well during the procedure. Pain was very mild. Right now, my neck feels stiff and when I laugh, sneeze or cough, I feel pain but tolerable. I didn't realize, that it will take some time before the nodule will get smaller. After reading your Nov. 29 posting I felt better because I got so alarmed when the next day I checked on my neck and it still looked big and I don't feel comfortable.
Avatar m tn For a start , you can find the survival rates for combined heart and liver transplants (CHLTx) for 1, 5, and 10 yrs, at the Mayo Clinic in an article entitled Combined Heart and Liver Transplantation: A Single-Center Experience. Survival rates for the CHLTx recipients at 1 year, 5 years, and 10 years were 100%, 75%, and 60%, respectively, and did not differ from survival after isolated heart transplantation (93%, 83%, and 65%), respectively. http://journals.lww.
Avatar n tn I also have a strange circumstance of certain activities such as raking and shoveling aggravate my lower left distention and after weeks of little pain, suddenly those activities trigger something. That doesnt explain xifaxan but I also question some sort of internal hernia taht comes and goes and hence hasnt been found.
Avatar m tn Thanks a bunch, Flycaster305. Good that this forum is here. It functions as a small form of cardiac rehab itself. And you hang tough too. My EF was measured at 55%-60% and given that a) my first MI was arguably "micro" (flap/clot in a lower branch of the LAD) and b) I'm in Chicago (where they probably turnover beds quickly), they gave me the boot. Heck, the RN even had me walk out of ICU. Good tip regarding Mended Hearts; hadn't thought of it.
Avatar f tn Complained of headaches on Sat 10th May and was rushed to the hospital within 2 hours .CT scan and angigram revealed an Aneurysm . Clipping of Aneurysm to the right side was done on Sunday 11 th . 3o hour operation. She has been in ICU for the last 16 days. She opens her eyes ,recongises most of the family and friends She is now able to speak very softly and started to eat on her own although not very much at this stage.
464044 tn?1343702043 Once they start yelling and or curseing I excort them out of the clinic and say you can go to the hospital patient rep and leave them. So think about what you want to say even try and practice it. so he will hear you and not just let go into one ear and out the other. If that does not work there is a thing call Patients bill of right you are intitlled to proper care so go see the patient rep at the hospital and complain there. that is your best acttion to take.
Avatar m tn I am from a place where they have NO STD testing. I will be in the chicago/glenview area next week (march 25-31) I have looked high and low trying to find a place where I can get a comprehensive test and very rapid results. I want to get my results back and any possible treaatment before I leave the country. Does anyone know of any exact locations where this can be done. I am willing to pay to get this done. A full service clinic would be best I think.
Avatar n tn I was on suboxone for a year now, I had been sober from heroin for almost 3 years until one day I took a trip to the dentist and it said in my file not to give me any narcotics and she did, well something in my brain popped and I was back to the races, I started with methodone next after hydrocodones and well found out I was pregnant lets just say things didn't go so good, I was in school and slowly but surely dropped out, had a good job and got fired.
Avatar f tn that not being the case.....again....thanks to Univ of Chicago for offering this service........and your answers alone help many....
