Common Questions and Answers about Pacemaker ecg

pacemaker

Avatar n tn After Pacemaker Surger my ECG test came back abnormal. Is it normal for them to come back with Right Bundle Branch Block and T Wave Abnormality, consider Laterial Ischemia? And what does this mean? This discussion is related to lateral ischemia.
Avatar n tn the ECG results may also determine this. A tentative date of mid-November has been set for implantation. Thank you for your clear and incisive comments, which 'shadowed' the major clinical decisions of our local cardiological team and also gave greater clinical security.
Avatar f tn I have a pacemaker and I'm 100% pacemaker dependent. I did an ecg and would like to know what it means?
Avatar n tn In the past 2 month, his heartbeats frequently skipping. Smokers for 40 years, recently quit. Has type II diabetic for 15 years. ECG last month showed SVES, RBBB. This week he has stress test with dipyridamole protocol, and injection of thallium-201. The result showed "evidence of mild, small to medium size, irreversible perfusion defect in the inferior/inferolateral wall (mid to basal level)." Could you explain what this means? Does he need to have surgery or pacemaker?
Avatar f tn the baby was stable but the heart rate was between 60 to 90 bpm based on the on 3rd day of life . followup at 15 days. ECG was normal with 128 bpm. stopped alupent. followup at 4th month showed 2:1 av block with heart rate 53 to 70 bpm based on activity.(AV nodal block-infact doctor mentioned above AV node).holter reports show lowest heart rate as 53 bpm and highest 162 bpm.
Avatar f tn I received a copy of my ECG but was not called back to see the physician. I wondered whether there was a problem when it states its an abnormal ECG. Normal Sinus rhythm but incomplete right bundle branch block.
Avatar n tn What sort of pain medication do you take? Do you take it everyday? Do you know if your family's heart attacks were caused by QT syndrome? See the specialist. They may suggest a pacemaker though if you are taking pain meds everyday you may want to try and give them up and see if that corrects the issue especially since it appears to be a transient issue. Good luck and let us know how it goes with the specialist.
Avatar n tn My last pacemaker check revealed 1000 PVCs per week. Based on my calculation, that's about 8 PVCs per hour. I also have runs of SVT. This is my second pacemaker, and my cardiologist installed the device the first of September. I can't take a beta blocker because I have asthma. Of note my heart does about 99%, sometines 99.9%, of the work. Essentially my pacemaker is a monitoring device. I would like to know if there is cause for alarm? Am I a potential candidate for ablation?
Avatar n tn Earlier this year her specialist replaced her calcium channel blocker with an ARB. Shortly afterwards she experienced a heart attack; a subsequent ECG indicated a Taku-tsubo syndrome as well as Troponin positivity. She then had a Cardiac MRI scan which apparently revealed little, same for a 24 hour ECG despite her heartbeat going up to 140-160 on a number of days. It has been brought down with a Betablocker after two hospital admissions through A & E.

Avatar n tn last year i had a pacemaker (set at 60bpm) fitted after i was diagnosed with 2nd degree heart block. the heart block doesnt appear to be happening any more during regular ecg tests. I have suffered from extra systollis for 30 year or more. Recently a few times when having exercise my heart rate dropped from the 120-130 range to about 75 and stayed there, but very strong beats. My bp was 125-70 when this happened. I feel that my heart electrics are beginning to fail.
Avatar m tn I am sorry to hear about the death of your loved one. Based on your numbers your ECG is normal, though I can't tell this for sure without seeing the actual ECG. These ectopic complexes sound like premature atrial complexes or beats. These occur in many people in the general population and are benign. If you begin to have symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, lightheadedness, palpitations (heart racing) you should see your physician.
Avatar n tn I am 76 diagnosed five years ago. through routine ECG. To date no symptoms, never had. I do not take any meds have low pulse, bp. cholestorol. No change in yearly ECG. Can this remain this way for years or should I expect to have damage done as a result of the block? Cardio Doc, just said go home, it is a done deal.after all 3 tests incl. the nuclear one. I guess that means no reversing it. Never had any heart attacks . Heart valve problems in family with other siblings.
Avatar m tn check to see if there are pauses at night, longer then 3 seconds is not good, and a pacemaker can fix that. An ecg every year is a good idea, make sure it never changes. Most doctors dont feel heart blocks are a big deal. stress will not help here, because vagal nerve has alot to do with here symptoms. alchohol, blood pressure medications should not be taken.
Avatar m tn I am 41 years old and I did ECG last week. The results showed partial right bundle branch block. Is this dangerous? Is this an indication of future heart problem? What should I do now to overcome such problem?
Avatar m tn HI I had an ECG a week after experiencing an episode of AF which I have posted about separately. I had an ECG when I went to my regular GP to tell him about the AF, and he did an ECG, and the note on the top says 'non confirmed diagnosis' Left Anterior hemlock. what does this mean? Is it something to worry about? I'm 71 by the way. He said, that's OK now, your ECG is fine. I have to see the cardiologist in two weeks for a follow up to the hospital visit with the AF.
Avatar f tn m a 56 year old woman, and in a good weight range. Should I call my doctor about this? I see him in 3 weeks for ECG. He wants me to have a pacemaker defribulator device implanted. I had flutter, but still have cardiomyopathy and was running a low EF of 31 prior ablation. I don't know what my EF is now, yet. Can EF increase after ablation for flutter? Thank you.
Avatar f tn I was recently diagnosed with PSVT (specifically AVNRT based on the ECG) and I am considering radiofrequency ablation since I can't take the medication that can help as I already have a lower resting heart rate. (but ironically borderline high blood pressure.) My question is, I was found to have transient first degree heart block at various times, as well as 3.5 second pauses during sleep while on monitor.
Avatar m tn Dear all, my premature son nearing two years old is diagnosed with heart block from the 24hrs holter scan result, however the doctor is saiding the it is a 2 to 1 and occasionally 3 to 1 sinus block and the result is 'not that bad'.. he said that the pacemaker solution can be put on hold for the mean time but close monitoring and check up again in 3 mths time will still need to be done... Very grateful if anyone can give any guidances/experiences on this condition...
Avatar n tn Others, it is more serious and they may require a pacemaker. If you have bradycardia, your doctor will want to try to uncover the underlying cause to treat it. There are many reasons why it can occur. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/bradycardia/symptoms-causes/syc-20355474 When do you follow up with your doctor next?
