Good evening all of you from DJ - shadowsister. We had a long conversation last night and she asked that I relay her best to all of you. She asked that I specifically tell you she feels your presence even though she is still unable to get on the computer and be here with us. She knows so many of you are with her on her journey and she appreciates that more than you perhaps know.

I hope the weather cooperates and you have safe travels if DJ feels up to visitors. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to share our thoughts with DJ.

What my friends did was have everyone bring a package of diapers and then enter to win a nice gift basket of cheese, crackers and wine. For food we had finger foods. They also did a photo booth with fun baby props. Have fun with it. It doesn't need to be formal. My niece had a bbq with a dj. Which was a lot of fun to.

Hi, I had my first pacemaker when I was 19 due to being born with a congential heart block, so I was given dual wire pacemaker, everything seemed to be working well as far my cardiologist was concerned when they discovered that 1 of the wires was'nt working properly, although I was not having any side affects to this but because of the size of the pacemaker to which they inserted I did recieve quite a few episodes of chest pains.

DJ is in a serious medical crisis and currently in ICU. She has been there since Tuesday and I have been waiting to know more before telling you this news. You probably remember that she recently had her morphine pump exchanged for a different unit. Unknown to the surgeon, she has an extensive abdominal and bladder infection.

Cat, indeed! Poor DJ has been through so much! I'm glad she called you, and, DJ, if you're lurking, I send lots of love and hugs, and wishes for speedy recovery.

But Sandrine told me no more than 30mins ago that DJ has a very good case, and will win - no doubt about it. She is looking further in to it as I type this message, poor women it's midnight in LA, but she's on the ball all right. She thinks that this would not even go to court, but be settled out of court because the hospital in question would not want the bad publicity. Let me know L if you want me to follow up?

Hey everyone - here's the news. DJ and her daughter Lori are on a United flight out of LAX Saturday morning, 10:30ish. It is a direct flight to PA, so no layovers. Please keep a positive thought, say a prayer, spin around three times and spit - whatever it is you do! LOL - that they have a safe journey and encounter kind, compassionate workers at LAX, in the security line, on the flight and arrive intact and in good spirits in Pennsylvania.

DJ continues to be a guest of the hospital in Arcadia. They removed the intrathecal morphine pump last week. The spot where the lines went into her spine continue to leak spinal fluid, so they are going to do a blood patch on Monday. Here's hoping it helps. They have not yet found a way to handle her pain that she gets from the extreme spasms she experiences, and she is relying on the oral morphine to take the edge off. The movers come Monday morning for her household goods.

I am so glad you were able to make it over to see DJ. What a special day you both must have had. DJ looks like she is feeling better and G-d willing this new neuro will be able to help her with the pain. I hope DJ will tell us about her experience with the sitting MRI. I've heard of it before but don't know a single person who has done it yet. Sounds better than lying down. She'll do great. Love to you both.

My mother is 83. She has had irregular heartbeat for nearly 20 years and had a pacemaker implanted 3 years ago. Her last echogram showed her EF to be 20% and she has had several episodes of congestive heart failure. She is physically run down.....weight loss, loss of muscle, not to mention depression. Her cardiologist wants to implant a biventricular pacemaker. I am wondering if the benefits will out weigh the risks at this point.

Ive never been to a baby shower with a dj either lol. Ive had two babyshowers now and been to several.

s mama is her lifeline in so many ways, and lives in the same building and helps with the daily tasks that would be impossible for DJ to do on her own. They truly are partners, and DJ constantly tells me how important her mama is to her. The fear of losing her, on so many levels, is truly difficulty to begin to understand unless you were in DJ's position. Getting to the hospital is difficult, because DJ uses her motorized wheelchair to get around town.

Hope things go well DJ. Will offer up some healing prayers tonight and tomorrow also, that all goes well.
