Great news about DJ. The one thing I will want to know as the seasons pass...how will she accommodate those PA winters. I was born there and they can be numerous. How will she handle the cold, when she is coming from a warmer climate? Maybe she will report that she feels better with less humidity and heat. Cheers to you DJ.

I haven't been on line. I tried to ck in last night. One thing I had planned to do was to send DJ a hug and if she hadn't been online to send Lu a pm asking abut her. Then the Internet connection went down. DJ has brought me such joy since I joined this forum. No matter her problems she was always there for me or others if we needed her. She sent gentle hugs my way more than once. I am praying DJ will have another miracle, one that will heal her body and allow her spirit to rest.

All of you are doing exactly the right thing for DJ at this moment, and that is supporting her through your kindness and prayers. She is doing well, all things considered. The decision has been made to disconnect the respirator today - here's hoping that her dear mother will not linger much longer and the family will gather strength to face the days ahead with peace. you are wonderful!

Thinking about you DJ, especially as you go for that second biopsy testing today. The process of test and wait is so very tedious. It's always near impossible to get your mind involved or focused on anything else. It's amazing how time can go so fast and so slow at the same time. Everything I've read about you here says you are an amazing woman. Your report here confirms that. Let us know how things are when you are able.

Sorry about your throat. Actually the B12 thing is normal for every one as they age. I heard a MS Specialist say this in a talk. How is the kitty?

Cat, indeed! Poor DJ has been through so much! I'm glad she called you, and, DJ, if you're lurking, I send lots of love and hugs, and wishes for speedy recovery.

I know you all were looking forward to seeing each other. Poor DJ. She has just had one thing after another. When you talk to her next time, please send my love and let her know that I miss her very much. Who is helping her these days? Her daughter? I just pray she will get a bread - not a physical one - someday soon. Sorry you guys will have to postpone the trip.

s mama is her lifeline in so many ways, and lives in the same building and helps with the daily tasks that would be impossible for DJ to do on her own. They truly are partners, and DJ constantly tells me how important her mama is to her. The fear of losing her, on so many levels, is truly difficulty to begin to understand unless you were in DJ's position. Getting to the hospital is difficult, because DJ uses her motorized wheelchair to get around town.

Hey everyone - here's the news. DJ and her daughter Lori are on a United flight out of LAX Saturday morning, 10:30ish. It is a direct flight to PA, so no layovers. Please keep a positive thought, say a prayer, spin around three times and spit - whatever it is you do! LOL - that they have a safe journey and encounter kind, compassionate workers at LAX, in the security line, on the flight and arrive intact and in good spirits in Pennsylvania.

DJ continues to be a guest of the hospital in Arcadia. They removed the intrathecal morphine pump last week. The spot where the lines went into her spine continue to leak spinal fluid, so they are going to do a blood patch on Monday. Here's hoping it helps. They have not yet found a way to handle her pain that she gets from the extreme spasms she experiences, and she is relying on the oral morphine to take the edge off. The movers come Monday morning for her household goods.

It has been a long while since DJ has been able to post here. She continues to experience assorted spasms that I can't even imagine experiencing. It appears that one has broken another vertabrae and most recently bladder spasms actually expelled her catheter, prompting her doctor to make a rare housecall for emergency actions. Her vision is still messed up - she has double vision when she tries to work on the computer wearing her glasses.

s name in it which is Jonas. Her husband wants the same thing which is Dwayne. She was thinking to have them both be middle names and have a first name that she can abbreviate like CJ or TJ with of course Jonas being the first middle name. Any first name suggestions? Or should they do Jonas Dwayne and he can be called JD?

Deciding wether I want to have a friend Dj ahah would that be too much? Its gonna be a tradional mexican shower with pozole and beer hahaha.

I am so glad you were able to make it over to see DJ. What a special day you both must have had. DJ looks like she is feeling better and G-d willing this new neuro will be able to help her with the pain. I hope DJ will tell us about her experience with the sitting MRI. I've heard of it before but don't know a single person who has done it yet. Sounds better than lying down. She'll do great. Love to you both.

Ive never been to a baby shower with a dj either lol. Ive had two babyshowers now and been to several.

My gosh, I feel for DJ. What a terrible, terrible thing to have to experience. I hope she can make the new neuro appointment and am praying that things get better for her. Sure makes you feel helpless....
