Oxycontin withdrawal time frame

Common Questions and Answers about Oxycontin withdrawal time frame

oxycontin

Avatar f tn so to speak. The time frame from first feeling it in the thigh to the kick and discharge would last about 5-8 seconds....after the 'Discharge' (and temporary relief) there would be perhaps up to 30 seconds of so before it would start over again....ALL Night....Every Night for 26 Nights...During the days, the rehab kept me busy for about 16 hrs....during which time, rather than experience this 'Kicking' I enjoyed the rest of the withdrawl syndrom....
Avatar f tn Search and find this link:" MY PERSONAL DIARY OF OXYCONTIN WITHDRAWAL." It started out as "Oxykicker's" personal Journal, yet hundreds upon hundreds of others have posted their own stories, woes, helpful advice and support and turned his Diary into the best information on Oxycontin withdrawal and PAWS (POST ACCUTE WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS) you will find anywhere here, or elsewhere.
Avatar m tn Thanks again for the great support. You've helped me a lot. You're right I need to be stronger. I'm sure it was just mild withdrawal but it seemed rough at the time. It's funny how you can wake up in the morning after several hours of taking nothing and not feel any withdrawal but drop a little at night and feel horrible. Just venting some frustration and you're right it was just a couple of bad nights and the second was better.
Avatar m tn I am on my 4th time trying to quit. each time is worse and harder. I am on day 4 and im starting to make the turn. keep busy if you can and dont kill your self over it. WE all make mistakes and in time all things hail.
Avatar f tn What are the withdrawal symptoms off of Oxycontin of a long time abuser? Is it always different depending on the person?
Avatar m tn In my and others experience, the best withdrawal method is a process of cutting back your dosage over time. Going into a rehab unit is pure hell. And anyway you are not an addict. Take it slow friend. In my humble opinion the vicodin you may want to stay on the longest. Percs make me feel depressed. Vicodin does not do that. I am a pain patient. This may sound counter intuitive but oxycontin acts longer with getting a less addictive buzz or high like one does on vikes(hydrocodone).
Avatar n tn I am sorry to hear that you are having a rough time transitioning from OxyContin to MS Contin. You were taking 120 mg of Oxycontin split up into 3 daily doses and now you are on 120 mg of MS Contin split up into 2 daily doses. When I convert your current dose of MS Contin into Oxycontin equivalent, you are taking 60 mg less of Oxycontin through the MS Contin.
Avatar n tn I wouldn't think there is a time frame. There are lots of large arteries which feed up to the face/brain. As you can see from this pic there are 2 carotid arteries on each side of the neck, which meet up with other artery feeds in the circle of willis. May I ask if you are having stenting or endarterectomy? http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.yalemedicalgroup.org/stw/images/125509.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.yalemedicalgroup.org/stw/Page.

Avatar f tn When is everybody starting there detox time? I mean: do you start it at the time of last use or start the time when your last pill/use has worn off?
Avatar f tn Hi I have been relying on 20mg of controlled release oxycontin to wake-up in the morning for months now. I have been starting with 20 then as that wears of I take another 20. The most I have taken in a day is 80mg. Forgot to mention that I have been chewing them before swallowing. Do you think this will be hard to get off? and what am I going to feel?
Avatar m tn Is there anyone who has any tips for how to go through a bad oxycontin withdrawal? I am wondering if there are any specific foods, vitamins, activities etc. that will help shorten or relieve the inevitable withdrawals. I feel so foolish for ever getting myself addicted to these horrible things. It started when I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed years ago and the doctor gave me a prescription. Now I have been off an on them for years. I need to get my life back.
