Oxycontin vs roxy

Common Questions and Answers about Oxycontin vs roxy

oxycontin

MY PERSONAL DIARY OF OXYCONTIN WITHDRAWAL. May I briefly fill in a little background.I am David aged 55 and employed as a postman/driver/sorter, well up until 38 months ago I had never been into hospital, well boy was that about to change.
I was heavy user of Diludid, oxycontin for 4 yrs. I was tapered in treatment with Suboxine. It has been 25 days I still feel very shaky, trouble sleeping, my head feels like it is going to explode. Does anybody have any idea when I will start feeling better? How long does this really take?
Often opiate addicts will begin doing this once their opiate tolerance is so great that they no longer get high, but rather just take the opiate's to not be sick. Oxycontin is a perfect example. Snorting 80 mg's of OC mixed with 1 to 2 mg of xanax will get you higher than snorting 240 mg's of Oxy. I've done it, so I know. But talk about rolling the dice!, xanx withdrawal is LOOONNNNGGG and terrible, so combining it with opiate withdrawal is pure hell.
but may not be everyones choice and the word escape brings easy wds to mind when a person is afraid I am not a fan of sub for most addicts....kinda like switching from darvacet to oxycontin? Switching one narcotic for a stronger one as sub is by far the powerhouse of all narcotics It may be ur escape..and i hope u fare well....
I get my pills from my mom and Ive been scrapping them (roxy 30s) just enough so I can do a line and she wont notice. Well Ive been using that method for awhile now and she finally noticed. She thinks its the pharmacy and is going to say something to them when she gets her next script. I know this has gone too far and I cant take her pills anymore but Im afraid of what will happen when she talks to them. She used to give me handfulls of pills at a time but it was extraas she had saved up.
I have, although, been wanting to talk to the doctor about switching me to something more long acting. I am going to ask if maybe oxycontin with percoset for BT would work, or if not, something else. I'm pretty sure my insurance covers MSContin and I think it covers Fentanyl. I am just so shocked and dismayed and I'd like to know if anyone has some advice for me? Thanks.
also, there is an amazing detox protocol for opiates (oxycontin, methadone, lortab, etc.) that is available in only 3 places in the U.S.... IV amino acids... the results are amazing... the detox symptoms subside immediately and post acute withdrawal is minimized because the amino acids actually work to repair the receptor sites in the brain... amazing stuff..
JUST STARTED TAPEROING DOWN. I WAS TAKING 10-15 30MG ROXY A DAY. THIS IS MY 3RD DAY ONLY DOING 6 MY PLAN IS TO BE AT 4 BY MONDAY AND SO AND SO ON. I HAVE A GREAT FRIEND THAT IS HELPING ME ALONG. REMEMBER YOU DIDNT GET HOOKED IN A DAY YOU WONT QUIT IN A DAY. IT TAKES LOTS OF WILL POWER.
My take on it is that if a person is on Heroin or Methadone, then Suboxone is probably justified. Perhaps even for those on very heavy doses of Oxycontin - (over 200 mg/day) may be justified in using Sub to kick the addiction. However, anything short of that may result in only swapping one drug for another. Sub is 40 times stronger than Oxy and although it does not give the ‘high’ we were accustomed to, it is more addictive than most people’s DOC.
just as a note, I know there are many different perspectives on the use of Methadone, but let me tell you what I did. I was taking about 120-160 mg a day of Oxycontin, which is A LOT worse then the vicodin (experienced both)I took 5 days, the first day I took 10mg of methadone, the second day I took 5mg, and the same for the 3rd, the fourth day I took 2.5, and then the fifth day another 2.5, from there it was a mental game, I was pain free.......
