I just witnessed my girl smoking a powder off tin foil..she told me it was oxycontin, and she doesnt do it all the time. She has some wierd tendencies and I think she is still doing them...What are the most unique signs of someone high on oxy's?

Is it possible that marijuana and oxycontin abuse could have caused this? I havent touched oxycontin in over six months, four months before I had my first anxiety attack...I stopped smoking marijuana two months ago and after all the ER visits and everything checking out fine(heart and lungs), I still have episodes of panic but now Ive been feeling like im in a dream...I cant stop thinking about what could have caused this mess...

hello my name is Derek, I am 19 years old and im extremely addicted to smoking oxycodone. I have been doing oxys for about 3 years,and have been smoking them for a little over a year now. this is probably one of the hardest things ive been trying to overcome for a while now but i just cant seem to kick the habit, i was wondering what has worked well for others.

I quit smoking oxy 80's over 3 days ago, well at least i tried, what i mean to say is i use to smoke 500-1500mg a day for a month and a half straight i really binged. Then i had 1 oxy 80 left in the house i found over 24+ ago i swallowed it. So if you count that 1 relapse as starting over i'm now at 24-30 hrs of detox.

I had a few questions about the withdrawal symptoms of OxyContin. I had used it (smoking and inhaling) for about 2 months starting at around 20mg a day, peaking at about 80-120mg a day and then weaning off down to 20mg again. I saw a doctor about detox and there wasn't much help there. I realize that my usage was very minimal over a long period but I still experienced withdrawals. its been about a month now and I am noticing pimple-like rashes mainly on my legs but slowly spreading upwards.

I have been smoking Oxycontin for about 3-4 months and want to quit! Is it easy to get suboxone? I don't want to go to rehab because I don't want my brother to know I smoke.

I am a chronic pain suffer and its very bad pain and have to take strong pain meds oxycontin 80 mgs 2 a day so was thinking on trying to come off my meds because of lots of reasons tired of feeling like crap plus they are not working much like they did . I was thinking if pot helpes pain and how long does pot stay in your system ? I use to smoke pot when i was younger and it didn't make me feel like crap like my pain meds do . The constipation was unbearable so I took myself off and managed the pain with perks. Perks got less effective so they decided to put me on oxycontin where I have been stuck for about 6 months now. I got to a point where I was taking about 10 40 mil a day to manage the pain then when the pain was gone i stopped taking them....omg I never expected my knees to ache the way they did and the insomnia was unbearable. I decided to stay on them and taper myself.

working out will increase ur endorphin production and make u feel better while ur body cleanses itself of narcotics...it can also help u stop smoking cos when u r getting healthy..smoking just doesnt fit in anymore....i used an electric cig to stop smoking..

I have read some interesting articles and blogs recently pertaining to post relapse dosages.For instance, say Mr. X was taking 160mg of oxycontin for quite awhile prior to quitting. That person has a moderate amount of clean time (1 year) and then relapses. For some reason, this person then seems to spike the dosages to an outrageous amount. What happens to make this person self destruct much faster and with deadlier dosages? I just don't understand how this happens. Any thoughts.....??

Is there anyone out there that has come clean off smoking oxycontin.. I am just wondering if there are any tips to help with the desire to smoke? I am finding that this is one of my main problems I crave the act of smoking just as much if not more than the high itself.. I am asking because I intend to quit no matter what I just want to know if there is anything to help with that part of this mental torture!

can you be more specific with waht your son is exactly doing, when i would snort heroin or oxycontin i would sniffle alot seeming like i had a really runny nose but my noseways if you ever noticed were clear. and you would swallow the H that drips down but the sore throat is not too common. he amy be smoking something..

Hi I am on Chantix to quit smoking and quit a few days ago. I am very tired so tierd that I cant even turn on the TV.. Is this a normal side effect from going off nicotine? This is the third day that has been like this. I was a heavy smoker before at 1 1/2 packs a day for 30 plus years.

I just found out my son, 20 has been using oxycontin for 2years. He takes about 3 80mg. He is now barely functioning and takes them all during the day. We saw a doctor that wants to start him on suboxone. I am ovewrwhelmed and don't know what to do.

My sister was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer in March. She is going through radiation and chemo, but she won't quit smoking or drinking(both heavily). I have been reading your posts and I see a lot of people who have been clean for a couple days or even a couple months, but I havent seen any posts about those of you who were addicted to smoking oxycontin on tin foil. First let me tell you my story.. I got into pain pills just like most of you, I was 18 in high school and pills were all over the place. I had tried vicodin and percs, but rarely used them, I was into ADD medication at the time.

Ive lead a life of addiction....to the fullest extremes...... I started smoking cigarettes at age 12....(still smoking..) then at about age 14, started smoking pot.... Then at around age 17, I started snorting cocaine...very heavily I might add..... I would go day to day with about 1.5 to 3.5 grams of coke daily... After about two years of coke i got sick of feeling so paranoid and sick of just letting drugs control my body altogether. I was clean (minus the pot) for about two years.

About three yrs ago I tore the miniscus in my right knee and was prescribed 750 mg vicodens they hardely helped with the pain and my doctor moved my script to 40 mg oxycontin which helped greatly. I was taking my meds as directed at first but soon went through my monthly script in 10-14 days.I was buying 80's from a work friend and after my surgery was well into the thrawls of addiction. The withdrawels were hell but I made it through cold turkey .Now I've started again.

Well I recently quit smoking and I started to feel different but not in a good way. I went to the doctor and he said it was nicotine withdrawals (I was sceptical but hes the pro not me). So I waited it out for about a week and things got worse. I decided to go back and see a different doctor and she perscribed me paxil for anxiety and xanax .5mg to help me sleep if I need it. I have trouble sleepings but after reading about xanax im not sure if I want to start taking it.

so my body has built up at tolerance, so I get break through pain even tho I take Oxycontin. I also am trying to quit smoking and quiting smoking is the hardest, I can quit Opioids and cocaine but really am having a very hard time quiting smoking. Any suggestions?
