I knew this medication was not for me.
This drug I feel is comparable to Oxycontin (Oxycodone) and Morphine as far as side effects and withdrawals are concerned. I also find myself at times craving Effexor for its "numbing" effects. This has turned me off to any anti-depressant/anti-anxiety medication and now I only go to therapy. I find that I function without it much better and I feel like myself again.
I had neck surgery three months ago before that I was on Morphine xr 60 mg and oxycodone 20mg and soma I now quit taking the Morphine regulary I only use it now if it's my last resort. I am taking about 25 milligrams a day of Oxycodone and want to get off of it without using Seboxin or Methadone. I don't want to trade one drug for another! help please give some advice. Herbs? food? dosage to cut down? My doctor said a half a millagram a week? Doesn't seem right.
I have been taking 100mgs of Zoloft throughout the pregnancy. Around the end of 1st trimester, I also started taking oxycodone 5mgs (2-3 a day). It is prescribed. I have one healthy child who is 5 1/2. I took paxil durin that pregnancy, as it was before they upped it to pregnancy class D. I tapered down to 20mgs during that pregnancy. It was hell, but the baby was and is super healthy.
I haven't tried to taper off of the zoloft. I don't feel like I can.
Hi, i was wondering if anyone knew the differences between Oxycodone and Tylenol w/Codeine?? I know they both have acetomenophen. But, the Tylenol with Codeine has Codeine obviously. I was taking the one with 30mg. of codeine. Now I have Oxycodone 7.5-325. What is the opiad in this drug? Is it also codeine, or a different drug? I know my body's reaction to the T3, so I am a little nervous to try this new one....oxycodone. Is it stronger, not as strong, the same???
you name it, I have been compliant and done what has been asked of me in every regard. OxyContin and Oxycodone in combination Zanax XR, Cymbalta®, Soma, Lyrica®, Lisinopril HCTZ, Lidoderm® patch has been the best combination to control my pain. In late 2011, my pain became much more intense. At this time, I was prescribed, 240 mg of OxyContin/day and 45 mg Oxycodone/day in combination with all other meds mentioned.
Adderall XR helped my Cerbral Palsy. I took about 40 mg and my spastiicity feels cured. I think of what may of actually helped too is I took my pain medicine oxycodone too. I am so happy right now I could cry. I don't want to wake up and beb back to normal lol. I am going to call my doc.If you want more info from me my email is ***@****. There is never anyone with answers or helpfulness.
is it safe to come off xanax, crack, and zoloft and take a small dose of oxycodone 5-325? have already tapered off xanax from 24 mg 2 years ago to 3 mg daily. please don't say see a dr. i have 2 one writes too much and the other is ok but will never disclose to fully. have stopped the smoke thing - have done that several times. have been taking 1 mg xanax xr a day and 2 of the oxy a day for a few days now. i feel somewhat shaky and all.
and people I have talked to that are on the Opana they use the Opana IR for breakthrough with the Opana ER. Have you ever tried Oxycodone HCL (immediate release) 15mg, or 30mg tablets for breakthrough pain? I am on Morphine Sulfate and use the Oxycodone for breakthrough and it works well... until your body adapts to the oxycodone and you require an increase in the dose... that's my only hurdle with it.... good luck....
Thank u for basically telling me what i already knew but was hoping someone would say otherwise. As far as who told me 2 take oxycodone cuz im hurting and everything going on.... Honestly if i had them i'd probably would've already taken it, sadly. but my dr dropped me after missing an appt and thats how i ended up in detox cuz i couldnt stand it on my own.
For information purposes I was looking at an opiate comparison chart in mgs and 1mg of hydrocodone was equal to .67mgs of oxycodone, so oxy is a little bit stronger per mgs. So your taking 400mgs/hydro xr and 270mgs of oxycodone. Are the 30mg oxy's percocet or oxycontin? EIther way your taking 670mgs of oxy/hydrocodone every day according to your post, thats quite a bit.
but that combined with the pain has me worried.
Here are my questions.
1. I'm taking Lexapro 10 mg, Abilify 2.5 mg, oxycodone 45 mg (no acetaminophen because of the elevated enzymes), and Xanax XR 2 mg each day. Do you think these are killing my liver? If so, which are the worst?
2. My enzymes were elevated and I don't remember exactly the numbers, but to give you an idea: one that was supposed to be around 75 was around 210, and one that was supposed to be around 15 was around 75.
I have been taking Vicodin ES 325/750 for pain (although I should be taking it every night), supposed to be taking Gabapentin, but it makes me too sleepy during the day, and Oxycodone 5mg for pain days. I can't stay awake during the day, so was just prescribed Provigil 200mg, which doesn't really work. I drink 5hr energy drinks, coffee, take No-Doz, and/or sometimes Adderall XR to just make it through a day because I am so tired.
I was on Adderall XR 30mg x1 & Adderall 10mg x2 a day for about 6 years. I noticed it not working as well and inquired about changing my dose. The doctor changed me to Ritalin LA 40mg x1 and Ritalin 10mg x2 a day. Just for background info: I am on additional medications for chronic pain; Fentanyl 100mcg patch and Oxycodone 15mg x2 three times a day.
I have fibromyalgia, degenerative disk disease, and cervical disk pain from previous cervical surgeries. Up until 2 weeks ago, I was taking Effexor XR daily, and Zanaflex and Ultracet 37.5, as needed. 2 weeks ago my cervical disk started going haywire with pain. I upped my Ultracet to 3 a day as prescribed and started taking the Zanaflex to the maximum dosage too. This did not faze the pain.
I was switched to Venlafaxine (Efexor XR) after a few months and I responded very well to this. Unfortunately I didn't fully acknowledge my own addictive tendencies - I believed I could control it so abuse of sleeping pills continued. In 2009 after great weight loss I experienced gall stone issues and was prescribed oxycodone (oxynorm) and a 3 month addiction went out of control - including sleeping pills...
I have both hydrocodone (Vicodin) and oxycodone (Percocet), and have only used them when it was necessary, because they have always made me nauseous. I have cut them all in half to take them, and know that I need to take them with food, and just before I lie down for the night.
Could I be addicted to my pain medication? I would hate to think that I might be straddling the line between necessity and addiction.
Why is it so hard now. I figured out that I am taking minus tylenol, maximum 20 mg of oxycodone a day. I work in the medical profession at a hospital. I work long hours at night when I work, then I have kid when I'm off. My ex and I are separated and have shared custody, split the week. You know whats weird, I have an easier time dealing with withdrawal, or wean when I'm working than when I 'm taking care of my kid.
He prescribed me one 60mg tablet twice a day which is every 12 hours. I am on the max dose of Oxycodone for BT that he is going to give me (or so he has made rather clear) which is two 15mg tablets three times a day. So, that's where I am now....
It's MY understanding that the FDA was ready to PULL ALL Oxycodone OFF the shelf for GOOD if the Phramaceuticals didn't do SOMETHING to make so that it couldn't be so easily abused. That's when the companies came up with the coating that they put on it. Unfortunately, it upsets a LOT of peoples stomachs to the extent that they can no longer use it. Thus, many of them have switched to Opana.
This is my understanding of what is going on.
I'm now at 44 days clean from oxycodone..and I did a short taper with them..tomorrow I have an appt to see Dr about tapering the xanax. Because of the dual dependance and maybe my health problems have drawn out the w/d process for me..I don't know for sure but anxiety is still a major factor, so just want you to know that many of us understand.
I don't know if you tapered and if so, how long a taper on the xanax?
I've taken Xanax off and on for the past few years and never took it consistently until 2 months ago when my doc prescribed me 1mg nightly of Xanax xr and I took it for a month. Thus stuff caused some serious depression to set in at week 3 so I decided to quit cold turkey the middle of week 4.
PLEASE.... someone tell me what is going to happen and how long typical wd's last. Today I feel detached, dizzy, hands are cold and I have a headache. These are all new symptoms.
he said that since I haven't had a documented true relapse in many, many years that I might consider going off of this class of med. I take Gabapentin, Baclofen, Effexor XR for depression, (also has anyone had experience with Cymbalta helping for neurogenic pain???
