Here recently my back pain has been so severe I cant walk or get out of bed. My OB doctor prescribed me Tylenol With Codiene 30 mg tablets and than Oxycodone 5 mg tablets. I took my Tylenol with Codiene 30mg tablets for my pain because I couldn't sleep. Than 45 minutes later I took my oxycodone 5mg tablets. I had forgot I took my Tylenol with Codiene prior to taking my oxycodone. Will taking both of them harm my baby?? I'm in nervous wreck.

I am trying to get on a pain management. I can not take oxycodone with acetemetaphine due to head aches and the oxycodone pill form gives me the bad mood changes. What about the oxycodone capsule? I have to go to the doctors in a couple of hours and think I may ask her about the capsules but I'd like to hear some input.
She takes 6 30mg oxycodone every 3 hours for a total daily dose of 54 tablets. She also takes 4-6 15mg oxycodone every 4 hours for a maxium daily dose of 32 tablets.
My question is, we are running into insurance issues with the rolling cap and therefore, we aren't able to get her refills on time once we hit that rolling cap. It usually happens every 5th or 6th refill for her meds.

For the first two days after surgery I felt great. I have been taking oxycodone 5-325 tablets every 4-6 hrs and morphine sulf ER 30 mg every 12 hours. On day 3 I started vomiting and kept it up through day four, but stopped taking any drugs. I figured I was allergic to the oxycodone. Now it's day 5 and my stomach has been in knots for yesterday and today. Is it related to my reaction to the oxycodone? Or what else would be causing it?
I was curious..how can 1 10mg of oxycodone be stronger and work much better than 2 5mg's of oxycodone?

From what I read oxycodone is stronger than hydrocodone. Oxycodone is a Schedule II narcotic & hydrocodone is a Schedule III. Oxy is more highly regulated and has greater abuse potential. This is because as time goes on, it takes more of the drug to do produce the initial effects. I will keep you in my prayers as you embark on this very important journey.
The lowest amount of tylenol that I know of that comes with hydrocodone would be in Norco tablets. They contain 10mg of the hydrocodone and only 325mg of tylenol. Maybe talk to your doctor about switching you to oxycodone instead? Oxycodone comes in tablet form that's just pure oxycodone, it has no tylenol or acetaminophen in it at all. It's stronger than hydrocodone, too, so the 5mg tablet (the smallest one they make) might even work as well for you as the 7.5mg vicodin.

I just finished reading your comments. So, you say you're taking 5mg
of oxycodone four times a day. One of my family takes this medication
too, 4 x/a day about 6 hours apart. She writes down the time every time
she takes a tablet. She is in chronic pain also in her back. She has discovered a homeopathic medication called Hypericum( 1M). She says
she finds it helpful as the oxycodone is wearing off and before its time
to take another oxycodone.
I currently take 45 mg time-release morphine tablets (1-15mg every 8 hours) and 30 mg of Percocets (1-325/5mg every 6 hours). I still suffer much pain. My doctor has suggested we try Gabapentin. Can I take that WITH my current meds or does he mean instead of? From reading these other posts, I don't think it would do as well for me by itself. Thank you for your advice.
She has been on 100mg MS x3 and Oxycodone 5mg x 8 for breakthrough pain. She has recently had a neurostimulator implanted which seems to have been quite successful and now wants to begin reducing the opiates and get rid of their side effects. She is 80 years old and has high blood pressure.
What protocol would be good to reduce the drugs? Is there a standard model to follow? I know it will probably not be possible to eliminate them completely because the neurostimulator is not perfect.
