He went to the hospital and is ok- htank God. He was taking 10 mg oxycodone ER. Does that mean that he got 10 mg of oxycodone all at one time? Would that not be the same thing as taking two 5mg percs?

I got desperate on night, just lost my mind from 2 days straight with horrible pain and no sleep. On a 1-10 scale? 12! So, I took 60 mg of oxycodone and 40 mg of methadone, plus 1 mg of Ativan - all at once, instead of breaking doses up over the day. I slept great for the first time since the wreck - March 25, 2015! I even felt better today, and took nothing but my methadone and Ativan, until late in the afternoon. But, some people say I might not have woken up.

Are these meds taken all at the same time? It would depend a lot on that... It looks like you went through someone's medicine cabinet and wrote everything down!

What exactly is Oxycodone HCL 30 mg? My sister was getting 100 pills a week since Dec 2008 for this amount. Isn't this quite a bit for someone who has a bulging disk in her back? One week prior to her starting the 30 mgs, she was taking 15 mg @ 100 a week. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a question since I am not familar with Oxycodone ER- generic verison of Oxycotin. My Dad had a scare yesterday when he took his Oxycotin but it had broken. Does that mean he got the full 10mg of oxycodone at one time instead of released throughout the day? Wouldn't that be the same as taking 2- 5mg oxys?

I'm on so much medicine for my chronic pain and they are always changing it. A lot of times, I end up cutting my dose in half if I think I don't need as much but still need something. Okay, right now, before I had my coffee, I made a mistake. I cut 1/2 my oxycontin 40 mg. in half thinking it was my 30 mg, oxycodone. I had already taken my 40 mg. oxycontin at around 6 am like I'm supposed to. Went back to sleep and woke up to take my break through and accidently broke the 40 mg.

I do take two naproxen 220 mg along with one one 10 mg oxycodone IR tablet and two 300 mg gabapentin capsules in the the AM when I wake up. Oxycodone is a little bit stronger than Vicodin. But I agree with the first poster that you need to contact your pharmacist to make sure the combo is OK for you to take as everyone is different and you may have underlying medical conditions that would make it an unsafe. choice for you.

s response. I am on 30 mg of morphine sulfate ER twice a day with up to 35 mg of percocet a day for breakthrough pain (about to switch to Opana ER tomorrow...maybe). I have taken the max of 35 mg of percocet in one day before along with 60 mg of morphine sulfate ER.

You need to contact your doctor and ask him what you should do. 30 mg of oxycodone IR is the strongest dose of oxycodone that they make in instant release form. So your replacement medication is not winky dinky. Therefore, please contact your doctor and/or pharmacist and let us know what you find out.

Well percs do come in different amounts. some are 5 mg some are 10 mg. I know nothing about mcg. And it is definitely percs that was taken and not oxys?? because oxys come in stronger dosages. Was he on all the meds for a while or was he new to all of them?

I have been on a high dose of oxycodone for Lupus for the past 8 months. I take up to 150 MG a day of oxycodone, I am trying to get off because I feel as if I don't need the meds anymore, I have found a different non-narcotic to help ease the pain. Can a baby overdose off of hydrocodone, oxycodone , or Roxycodone through breast milk if the mother takes the right dosage, or slightly more, only once a day and not everyday. Actually the immediate release oxycodone 15 mg was stronger than what you are taking currently (15 mg of oxycontin) as the 15 mg of oxycodone is released all at once within 30-60 mins of taking it. The 15 mg of oxycontin is released over a 12 hour period so if you do the math...15 mg/12 hours = 1.25 mg of oxycodone per hour through the oxycontin. So instead of getting the full 15 mg within an hour of taking the immediate release oxycodone, you are getting about 1.
