He went to the hospital and is ok- htank God. He was taking 10 mg oxycodone ER. Does that mean that he got 10 mg of oxycodone all at one time? Would that not be the same thing as taking two 5mg percs?

I got desperate on night, just lost my mind from 2 days straight with horrible pain and no sleep. On a 1-10 scale? 12! So, I took 60 mg of oxycodone and 40 mg of methadone, plus 1 mg of Ativan - all at once, instead of breaking doses up over the day. I slept great for the first time since the wreck - March 25, 2015! I even felt better today, and took nothing but my methadone and Ativan, until late in the afternoon. But, some people say I might not have woken up.

I have a question since I am not familar with Oxycodone ER- generic verison of Oxycotin. My Dad had a scare yesterday when he took his Oxycotin but it had broken. Does that mean he got the full 10mg of oxycodone at one time instead of released throughout the day? Wouldn't that be the same as taking 2- 5mg oxys?

And yes, I was taking them as prescribed and my total daily amount was around 2,600 mg...no where near the 4,000 mg limit. I have finally been switched to Oxycodone IR, which contains only the opioid that is present in Percocet without the tylenol. I never take more than I am supposed to and many times I take less but I now have the peace of mind that I am not doing harm to my liver.

I do take two naproxen 220 mg along with one one 10 mg oxycodone IR tablet and two 300 mg gabapentin capsules in the the AM when I wake up. Oxycodone is a little bit stronger than Vicodin. But I agree with the first poster that you need to contact your pharmacist to make sure the combo is OK for you to take as everyone is different and you may have underlying medical conditions that would make it an unsafe. choice for you.

s response. I am on 30 mg of morphine sulfate ER twice a day with up to 35 mg of percocet a day for breakthrough pain (about to switch to Opana ER tomorrow...maybe). I have taken the max of 35 mg of percocet in one day before along with 60 mg of morphine sulfate ER.

I was having bad menstrual cramps and took too much Tylenol. I believe I took 6,000 mg in 24 hours.
