Common Questions and Answers about Oxycodone ingredients

oxycontin

Does anyone know a pharmacy in the saint pete-sarasota area that has oxycodone 30mg in stock yet? I had 180 30 mg tabs filled at a compounding pharmacy last month and that was a HUGE mistake....not only have I been vomiting for a month, but I paid 4.00 per pill and they seemed maybe 1/2 as strong as my usual dose .I so wish this mess was resolved....
I have been taking 6-7 oxycodone 30mg for the last 4 months, prior to that 60-10 Norco 10/325 for 18 months. I desperately want off, and I want to go cold turkey. I have Clonodine, Neurontin, Clonazepam- all to help me with withdrawal. I get mixed results when I ask online if it's safe to withdraw from opiates cold turkey. Can someone answer me? I am in otherwise good health with the exception of a bulging disc in my back which started this whole ugly mess.
Maybe there is a second ingredient or a combination of ingredients that the test is picking up. I hope you find your answer. All the best.
How long am i going to be withdrawaling cold turkey and what are some ingredients that will help ease some withdrawals? Any questions and some words of wisdom are indeed welcome and needed. Thank you! Btw my husband and i have been taking painkillers for a year anywhere from 2-4 30 mg oxycodone pills. And recently for a week now have been abusing 1 40 mg opana daily.
There is no plausalbe reason for it not to work because Percocet is just a Name, the ingredient is the same...oxycodone. Are you taking 2 of 5 mg oxycodones? That would equal what you were taking, also you could be building a tolerance to the meds.
he said it is safe and that as long as it is prescribed to you, you can take it. as for making you high- oxycodone is 1 of 2 ingredients in percocet. i asked him the same thing when i was on percocet for my c-section. well, i actually asked why i didn't feel happy or high. he said that if a person is genuinely in pain, then they don't feel high- it just relieves pain. people get "happy" when they take it and they aren't in pain.
oxycoton verses oxycodone effects and side effects and length of time to start reducing pain and how long the curveis.
OXYCONTIN(chewed, crushed, broken, split, or snorted) 4. OXYCODONE IR ORAL(yes same active ingredient, for me not as bad as oxycontin) 5. MORPHINE ORAL 6. DILAUIDID 7. HYDROCODONE 8. CODIENE 9. DARVOCET(I forget the technical ingredient name) I only left out the TRAMADOL because I have not EVER detoxed off of it. I have heard that is is actually more dangerous than any of these listed above since it can cause siezers, an/or even DEATH from cold tukrey withdrawl..
percocet made from the opiate in oxycodone are a class 2 drug, not only are they stronger but they are harder to get from a dr. Because the DEA is always watching anything with oxycodone in it, Especially Oxycontin, They do last longer a dose of perc can last from 6-8hrs that is a 5mg dose. Vicodin, lorcet, lortab, norco, vary in strengh from 2.5mg up to 12.5, A 7.5mg vicoprofen which means it cut with ibuprofen and not tylenol like all the others are cut with tylenol.
Can i take this with my oxycodone to take the pain away or can i take them and not have to take oxycodone-or is this a medicine that will make me go through withdraws when on oxycodone.
I am on day 2 and that plus just being plain ole tired hhas neen th worst.. But I did stock up with the ingredients from the Thomas recipe and the mellatonin helped with the sleep. B6 in the morning along with St.jOHNS WORT for the energy and mood thing is really helping. I'm not big on the "natural' pills thing. Funny coming from someone who had no problem poppin hydro's to get out of bed! HA! But I am glad I got them ....I think they're helping alot. So if u can...
i googled it and it is 5 mg of oxycodone with tylenol in it as well...we are both nurses and have given tylox out to patients over the years...just never stopped to look up the ingredients although of course we knew it was a narcotic...looking back, i remember having tylox before a long time ago for pain and it just made me sleepy.
I have been on 6-7 oxycodone daily for the last four months. Prior to that I was on Norco 10/325 for 18 months. Is it safe for me to quit cold turkey at home? I am in good general health. I have clonodine, clonazepam and neurontin to help me along with Flexeril. Is it safe to stop or do I have to taper? I have been prescribed these drugs for severe, unrelenting pain in both of my feet. I have been to neurologists, rheumatogists, podiatrists, to no avail.
well i have been on oxycodone heavy for about 4 years and am ready too get off... i still have a few pill's , but for the last couple of day's i have been thinking hard about quitting. i am sick of my life revolving around doctor's and pill's. i eat them like they are m&m's... My doctor did prescribe me some saboxen..
My dr took me off 30mg oxycodone ir and replaced it with 10mg opana ir, because my tolerance to oxycodone was too high. I have been on opana a few days now, and I am doinh pretty well (none of these meds completely relieve my back pain even after several surgeries) but I would say trust in your dr, and if what he is doing doesnt help, let him know as soon as you can.
What are some of the best home remedies for stopping Oxycodone use? I have no money for the suboxone. I have been taking 5/325 8-10 a day for around 2 years prescribed by my VA doctor and I want to quit and I have tried but the withdrawals got the best of me? Any help is much appreciated.
Are you referring to OxyContin btw? Wade told me that the ingredient oxycodone's in many opioid (sp?) narcotics such as Hydrocodone or OxyContin, etc. The list goes on. Seriously you need to reread my posts from the first. I'm getting tired of arguing this issue but until some true information's presented, I won't back down unfortunately. Will send those links to you if you want (about categories of drugs above for pregnant women).
With the controlled release of the med I'm taking now, things seem to be on an even keel compared to the abrupt ups and downs of the shorter acting narcotics like hydrocodone and oxycodone. As I've said time and again, all I want is a state of equilibrium in my life where everything seems to be safe and secure....and pain free! I suppose that's a lot to ask for as a human being? Somebody said above that they went fifteen years in hell before discovering a med that offered some relief.
Different manufacturers might use different inert ingredients in their pills, so while the active ingredient might be the same (oxycodone), the binders might be different and it's possible that you might feel differently when taking one as opposed to another. In the generic oxycodone you're taking, is it pure oxycodone? Or is there APAP in it (tylenol)?
If you are taking this medication and pregnancy occurs, talk to your healthcare provider. Is Oxycodone Safe During Pregnancy? Oxycodone hydrochloride is an active ingredient used in many prescription pain medications. It is a narcotic, opioid (morphine-like) medication. Animal studies indicate that oxycodone is unlikely to cause birth defects.   It is important to note that oxycodone is available by itself or in combination with one or more other active ingredients.
i am aware that i broke my contract when i took this cough syrup, i will take that up with my doctor, my question is i am prescribed oxycodone, I had a bad sore throat and was offered some presription cough syrup,it was prometh/vc codeine syrup, my question is the meth in promethazine and the meth in methadone and other medicines with meth in the name all the same type of meth.. and the done in oxycodone, hydracodone, methadone the same done.
I think I have my background on my profile. Have never abused my meds Am presently on 60 mg. oxycodone every 4 hours (round the clock ... don't sleep due to pain.) Also was on 75 mcg. fentanyl every 48 hours. Just went to 50 mcg every 48 hours. Not sure how that will work. (I asked to decrease meds.) I've started cutting back on my oxycodone as well. I am definitely having withdrawal symptoms.
Percocet IS oxycodone. Oxycodone is the opiate ingredient in percocet. The -cet part denotes that there is acetominophen (tylenol) in the pill as well, so percocet is actually oxycodone with tylenol.
is it easier to detox from hydrocodone, oxycodone or suboxone? Which one is the fastest to detox from? Are there any herbal remedies I can look to to alleviate the depression while going through this process? How long will it take? Will it be easier to taper off for about two weeks before I just pull the plug on these pills?
I am trying to get on a pain management. I can not take oxycodone with acetemetaphine due to head aches and the oxycodone pill form gives me the bad mood changes. What about the oxycodone capsule? I have to go to the doctors in a couple of hours and think I may ask her about the capsules but I'd like to hear some input.
actually it is oxycodone that is the main ingredient... oxycontin is a brand name, means oxycodone continuous release (i think). oxycontin is usually higer mg of the oxycodone because it has the extended release which is why addicts usually crush & snort or chew them to bypass that. it is true that percocet has more apap than the oxycontin or roxicodone but as far as the main ingredient 6 perc 5's are the same as a roxi 30 or 4 perc 10's are the same as an oxy 40.
Dilaudid is a much stronger narcotic than oxycodone ( oxycodone is the narcotic ingredient in percocet). Percocet is tylenol and oxycodone combined. I think you will have much better pain control with the dilaudid for sure.
Yes, from what I read, it is a rather new brand of Oxycodone and Ibuprophen. It is distributed in the US. I think we will hear more about the drug as time goes on. There is good info on the drug on the web.
By the way, it depends on if you chew or not, both have the same ingredient, Oxycontin is just time released Oxycodone, percocets are just Oxycodone with tylenol so yes if you chew, they are the same except you get the Tylenol with the Percs which in time will get your liver (the Tylenol that is).
