Please don't judge...I'm 33 weeks pregmant and have occasionally used oxycodone hcl 5mg for my back and leg pain...I was NOT prescribed them and was using my husbands without his knowledge...I have heard many stories about them being safe and doing no harm and also stories of baby withdrawing after birth...I.have mever gone thru withdraw myself from them because I don't believe I have done enough every month to become addicted...

I've been on oxycodone for years for injured and deteriorating lumbar, thoracic and cervical discs. Currently I take 30 mg oxycodone 4 times daily (sometimes more depending on the day). This works very well for my pain and restores (mostly) my ability to perform daily activities. My problem as of late is sleep. My sleep is interrupted due to pain - it affects my being able to fall asleep sometimes and without doubt gets me out of bed BEFORE I am fully rested.

I was taking two Oxycodone 5 mg. Now I'm taking 1 Oxycodone hcl 10 mg. Is there a difference from the hcl tablets and the ones without hcl? It seems like the tablets before (the ones without the hcl) were a little bit stronger than the ones I take now that have hcl after the Oxycodone. Thanks.

Approximately three months ago, I started seeing a new doctor, and he took me off the Percocet that has Tylenol in it, and placed me on Oxycodone HCL 5mg; Which is Percocet without the Tylenol, basically. So here's my question to you, and please help me with this... I've been taking 8-10 of these pills a day, as directed by my doctor. In order to get out of bed in the mornings, I have to take a pill and a half and be on my way within 30 minutes of taking the pill.

What exactly is Oxycodone HCL 30 mg? My sister was getting 100 pills a week since Dec 2008 for this amount. Isn't this quite a bit for someone who has a bulging disk in her back? One week prior to her starting the 30 mgs, she was taking 15 mg @ 100 a week. Any help would be appreciated.

maybe 6000 a day but not evryday maybe half of the month....anyway i took 15 or so of the 5mg/hcl and after a few days my stomach bloated up( felt like a football in there)...after a week i went to the ER...i didnt tell them about the abuse...all blood work and ultrasound came back normal....

Last weekend went to detox for Oxycodone HcL 60 mg (not extended release) a day for 2 years. (doctor prescribed). Never on street drugs or had a problem with any other prescription med. Could not quit this on my own, and it started to make me sick. Detox went well. However, first two days I felt sluggish. Then tried one/half dose of suboxone per doctor, and that was a nightmare.

Hey Bill, this can still be shockingly bad especially if you haven't done it before. I assume that if you've gone down 5mg per day that you're looking at 5mg pills. Why don't you go ahead and drop another five first. You've done great so far. Three days is about the minimum time to get used to a new dose so you've done everything right so far.

The less severe the injury or pain, the lower the dosage that will be prescribed. Make sense? Also, 5mg oxycodone is stronger than a 5mg hydrocodone (vicoden). There's a lot of variables.

I was curious..how can 1 10mg of oxycodone be stronger and work much better than 2 5mg's of oxycodone?

Hi, I have been on narcotic pain meds since 2007. First I was on Oxycodone 40mg a day. After a while it stopped working so I asked for something non narcotic for a change. They put me on 300mg of Ultram, and after 1 week of taking it I had a seizure. So they put me on Vicodin 40mg a day. The Vicodin was so far the best. Then I injured my back and the doctor gave me Hydromorphone HCL 4mg 3 times a day.

why would a dr. change me from 5mg. of oxycodone to 30mg. morphine? i was put out of work cuz i could not funtion only weigh 113lbs now he has change me to 10mg of morphine i told him i am not comfortable taking morphine.

Pretty sure the lowest form of oxycontin is 10mg. Are you meaning 5mg oxycodone Immediete release pills? The reason I ask is because the oxycontin are a time released for of oxycodone where as the 5mg pill is just a fast acting oxycodone. Then it would depend on what you have as to how and when to take easch of which one.. Make sense?

d double up the doze in the morning to help me get jump started. After hearing that he changed my perscription now to OXYCODONE HCL 15 mg. The reasoning is that these don't use Tylenol to hurt my liver. My question is 1: will they work as good and 2: will I have Vicodene withdrawel? I've never had these before or know of anyone who has. I got down to about 30mg/day (the OxyContin 2x/day and 10mg oxycodone - 5mg at bedtime and another 5mg in the middle of the night when I would wake up). ya man thanks, i just took a 12mg of dilaudid and im in way less pain than when i was taking 3 5mg oxycodone 4 times a day. i think this switch will be ok. i actually am smiling haha, ****** havent smiled in a while.
