Don't know what you were on and all of that, so time's tough to predict. Nights seem to be the rough spot for most of us with sleeplessness and w/d related anxiety, so I feel for ya man. I'm happy for you though, hang in there, it WILL get better, and it gets better all the time.

? I was taking Oxycodone 10 325 for about 4 months , 4 times a day. Got to the point i was taking them for the feeling they gave me and not the pain. But i went cold turkey and stopped it for a few months. Ended up needing another surgery and was in the best time in my life so told dr was in pain before surgery so he gave me more 10-325 oxy. But this time i didnt feel the high. It felt different but kept taking them searching for the high.
Yes we are snorting the pills, all of them. I know its really bad and I can't believe we are doing this but I have hope. We have all ready cut our mg per day in half once before from 120 to the 60 we are at now each. I have enough pills to taper down to 45mg each but that's it. After that I am not buying any more and I'm not going back to the doc for a refill.

Because you have underlying health conditions, I would strongly suggest you discuss this plan with your doctor. Rest assured, though, kicking opiates is famous for making you feel like death but not killing you.
Frankly, it all comes down to this: you're going to be uncomfortable for a while.

doctor. Who prescribed the alprazolam for anxiety? Anyway, I would

Hi James, I am also day 18 off opiates. Was on oxycodone ir 60mg a day everyday for 11 years. I also have a really hard time sleeping and get that anxious feeling still. You're deff not alone and you've come to the right place. They're are some amazing ppl here that have been clean off the same as us. They've helped me a lot!!
re pregnant. The effects of sudden withdrawal can be more severe for the fetus, than continuing oxycodone throughout your pregnancy. If you really want to stop, you must do it under medical supervision.
You won't have harmed your baby by taking oxycodone, and it very unlikely to cause any harm even if you take it right through your pregnancy. Some babies do withdraw following birth, and this shown by a period of increased crying and irritability.
I've been on methadone for 18 yrs. Yes, I said 18 yrs. I'm down to mgs. would like to know if suboxone would work for someone like me. I'm also taking .5 mgs. of Xanax for anxiety, are there any alternatives for this drug. So far everything tried has not worked and I go into seizures.
Like most I have always had general back pain I had several surgeries a few years ago where I was in the hospital 2 weeks with gallstones that dissolved and part of the sludge entered my pancreas that ate a hole through it causing 10 litters of fluid to build up behind my lungs. They basically cut me sternum to spine that & used a rib splitter. it causes pain under my breast still. Then last year was in a car accident that caused bulging discs to hit nerves in my lumbar and cervical.
Day 2 from a 2-3/30mg roxies, feel awful
I've quit before for 6 months from a 1/day habit but that was a few years ago. Now I was up to 2-3 daily...How long will the mental recovery take? I know I'll have flu symptoms, anxiety, depression, sleep issues for about a week or so and I'm more worried about the long term. When would I start to enjoy things again and be 100%? Oxycodone is a stronger narcotic then the narcotic in vicodin which is hydrocodone. Both will cause WD. The WD from oxycodone was always much worse for me then hydrocodone but some say it's the same. What form and strength of oxy were you taking? If you were taking 1-2 oxycontin, whatever the strength, per day and then switch to hydrocodone down to 15mg of it per day, IMO you most likely would feel some form of WD.
That depends on how long you used for i belive.Usualy for me,and believe me i can take enuff to kill a person,but at the same time just a few does the trick.
But day 5 is key,that's when u want to eat,normal bowel movements.Sleep starts coming back.
I use trazedone to help sleep,Anxiety isn't too bad.Read up on PAWS tho so u know what to expect,it can come back down the road,it is the price we pay.
But don't fear support is right here.Nutrition plays a big part.GOOD food.
Monday I was on 4 15mg's a day for 5 years. Tuesday I went down to 1 and a half pills. Wednesday I did a half pill in morning and a half at night, thursday I did an 1/8 of a pill, but needed a half at 6PM. Today took one half at 12noon. I know Im going fast, but I detoxed alot in 4 days. Feels like garbage. Any one else going thru this at same time as me? I need moral support. PLEASE!
I took approximately 2 percocets a day each pill being 5-325 mgs for 2 months for ongoing kidney stones, and then I went "Cold Turkey". I felt sick from the withdrawls but the only thing that I got that is really concerning me that I still have is dyspnea, where it feels like I can't get enough air in my lungs.I stopped taking percocets for like almost 5 days now and I'm not going to take anymore.
