Hi mpace6983, all I can say is I had the same problem with Tramadol and I also got insomnia from Tramadol and hydrocodone. So, I think you could try Valium but that is stronger I think. Maybe you have a cross reaction with another drug too? I know you will get a better answer on this site. Good luck and hope your pain gets better.

BE VERY CAREFUL. Benzodiazepines are contraindicated for use with Sub....unless like these posters...a doc has said it was okay. Using them together cam cause serious respiratory depression. Just be careful, please. My advice would be to find out from the doc what he could safely take.

We have a really sick child we kept alive for 4 years and we are finally considering medical bankruptcy and maybe the Valium is helping me cope with that. My wife and I have shed tears of fear and frustration and I just feel a mess. Not the least bit suicidal at all. Not in any way shape or form. But being able to buy groceries when your kids are hungry would be really nice. My parents gave us a give card to the grocery store for $150 on the 4th.

been taking Adderall valium and oxycodone for 12 years all drug tests have shown compliance. now I got a false neg and cant get medicine when I took them as prescribed. what could cause that? tried cbd oil but nothing else, the blood test said I didn't take the valium and adderal and a small amt of oxycodone. hey hun, I'm sorry i just do not have knowledge of valium, i was opiates and klonopin and xanax. If it is anything like the benzo's i detoxed from it took me about 30 days or so, with that being said it did get a little bit better everyday. Hopefully someone will come around to help ya. HELP. I was in rehab....I checked myself in. I was taking 6 to 7 of the 30mg oxycodones per day (from pain management....I'm 'not addicted but dependent' according to the doc bc I took as prescribed. So I took them for only about 3 months. Two weeks ago I went to the ER with withdrawal symptoms, and a dr wrote a rx for suboxone with the pretense that I sign something saying I will go to his office in 3 days. (He only gave me 3 days worth of suboxone.

Well, I took Lortab the morning before I picked up the new prescription because I was going to do pool exercises and need something for the pain. I picked up the Oxycodone before going home and took one that afternoon and one that evening and did fine. Keep in mind it was 7 AM that morning that I took the last lortab (2 7.5/325). The next morning I woke up having horrible back and leg pain so I took one of the Oxycodone (5mg/325) it didn't touch the pain!

I was curious about the Oxycodone and the valium also. Why were they prescribed? just the two together seems odd for a doctor to prescribe.

Hydrocodone has the same side effects as does Oxycodone. If you are susceptible to become drowsy from Oxycodone, then it is safe to assume the hydrocodone may make you sleepy as well. On the other hand I have heard some people say that Hydrocodone gives them more energy and insomnia when they take it, so it really depends on how your body reacts to it. No two people are the same in that regard. I remember when I used to take Norco I never knew if I would get drowsy or hyper when I took it.

I have been clean for almost a month. I took alot of valium and that helped greatly. 10 months is not a long time compared to most so that is good news. I think you will be feeling much better by friday. I found it was hard to do but not as hard as I thought it was going to be.

Hi, I have been on Percocet 10/325 along with Neurontin, Flexeril, Valium for about a decade. I was switched to 75 MCG Fentanyl patch 2 weeks ago. Valium was stopped 3 weeks ago. The 1st week I could not sleep at all. Drowsy, though. Shaky, cold. My doctor said it was withdrawal. Now at week 2, I sleep about 2 hours, very shaky, freezing cold, (I never get cold) Absolutely miserable BUT have great pain relief. Must stay in bed.

Did you tell the doctors who are tapering you that you are feeling w/d's? We aren't MD's here, and everyone is different, but I would take an medical doctor's advice over people who dont' know you or your health history on the internet. If you've been a long time user, there may be no way to avoid feeling like crap for a while. Withdrawing from benzo's, I'm told, is not easy.

Using a benzo to detox from opiates is very helpful. If you're on short acting opiates, hydrocodone, oxycodone, and hydromorphine, you can get through this in a week and feel 80% better on day 7 than you did on day 2. After this you'll see a steady improvement everyday. With longer acting drugs, methadone, suboxone, and time released forms of the aforementioned drugs, day 3 thru 10 suck mainly because of no sleep.

I've been taking valium for years and I would get too stressed out and wouldn't be able to sleep without it. It's a pretty safe, old school benzo and I usually only take it as needed at night. It looks like it is safe with Harvoni. If I get my tx I will probably never need tylenol but it looks like small doses would be OK. I'll ask the doc but to tell the truth, you folks here know more! I have fracture disk compressed disk and bulging disk. And i am also on Valium 10 mg 2 times day i stopped taking the Valium the second i found out. But my pain in my back is so bad its so hard to go with out the pain meds . But i did cut down from 4 times a day to 3 . please help and please dont judge me i have really bad arthritis and at times i cant get out of bed :(.

Right now I take two 20mg OxyContin daily, two 5mg Flexeril daily which is replaced with one 5mg Valium at night, and one 10mg Oxycodone Acetaminophen every 5 hours (I was on one every four hours but downgraded to every five hours yesterday).
