oxycodone and nyquil

feel a little more energetic, but my first couple days i layed around moaning, in pain and agony, cryed numerous times, lots of heating pads, tylenol, nyquil and restless nights and early mornings. i am feealing alot better today....

I've been addicted to oxycodone for about 16 months, taking up to 200 mg per day. I have hit w/d's many times, but never made it through. This time I told myself no more excuses. My regimen was simple and I'm on day 4 and already feel about 80%. I went and bought off brand immodium ad, coricidin hbp, native remedie's "focus formula" and nyquil. Taking these as directed mixed with valerian root has amazed me.

Thanks Barb for responding, I have an appointment set up for a MMR shot with my DR office on Tuesday, so I will be talking with them about my sickness as well. I don't think I will be getting my shot either, just a guess. But I just need something to get me by the next 2 days and thought I'd find out about what the side effects were if I took the Nyquil, I just don't want any complications in the process. I took the Nyquil last night anyways and slept for awhile.

anti-histamines are most commonly used for allergies such as benadryl, but is often found in OTC sleep aids, and some older anti-histamines have anxiolytic effects, and many other uses. Taking nyquil every so often will help you get to sleep and stay a sleep due to a cold or irritation, but its not relally useful for insomnia. theres where more prescription sleepaids come into the mix, but enough rambling, your body will still burn calories while you sleep if you take nyquil...

No help... Nyquil and antihistamines have a complete opposite effect on me. They will make me tired but wired at the same time. I think I'm almost there, it's just kind of up to my body to start producing normal levels of dopamine and just get balanced again. I hope. I think it *is* likely your medicine extravaganza during your bronchitis may have temporarily elevated your liver enzymes. Just go get retested in a few weeks. Also, mixing Nyquil with the tylenol is a big no, no. Nyquil has alcohol and, when mixed with tylenol, can do (tah dah) exactly what happened to you! I'm sure one time won't damage your liver, but now you know! Take care.

I have a serious question, and no, i'm not joking, a friend of mine offered me 30 10mg Oxycodone tabs a week ago, I took them all over the past 7 days, and now I'm out, and apparently I'm in withdrawls and it sux to say the least. I'm looking for advice, honestly, i know you might say, 1 week, 30pills, your nuts, it's true, i've never felt this awful in my life, no sleep, hot/cold, shoulders hurt, stomach upset.

Not nyquil. But if you have cold like a symptoms Tylenol makes cold and flu drowsy med and thats okay and it knocked me out.

I would certainly make a call to your pediatrician and tell them what happened , they may say keep and eye on the child or bring him in..good luck ...

Im 21 weeks and I just caught a cold my head hurts my nose is stuffed and every time I cough I feel the baby kick I feel like she's trying to signal me to stop bothering her lol ughh I miss nyquil lol

Well to answer your questions, I've been taking oxycodone 5mg at least five pills a day for over 6 months now. It all started with kidney stones. Doc was prescribing me 90 at a time until I could pass the stones. Well the stones are gone and the addiction is here. It is so awful!

Everyone reacts differently to medicines, and there maybe be a low percent side effect for what you are experiancing. Also, Nyquil does have some alcohol in it so make sure it is not interacting with another medication you are taking. I have been on medications before that require you do not take in any alcohol whatsoever, including cough syrup and mouth wash.

hello ladies. trying to find out if any of you guys have ever taken nyquil for your cold while pregnant. I feel like crap and i know nyquil would wipe it out but i'm too scared to take it.

Nyquil has alcohol in it so i know that was one of the reasons she told me not to take it....and both nyquil and dayquil i believe may have aspirin or something along those lines in them which isnt recommended during pregnancy.

no! NYQUIL is not physically addictive and you won't suffer from withdrawals. And its not dangerous to take two Nyquil every night....after a long period of time you could get Liver damage but almost all sleeping medacine have that warning. It's more dangerous to drink 1 beer every night than it is if you take two Nyquil every night lol....there is less alcohol in two nyquil caps than there is in 1 beer....so your not at all in danger...

I stick to the natural remedies for colds and flu to avoid the high alcohol content and sedative properties of cold and flu remedies in the drug store, and some decongestants have stimulants in them that can cause anxiety.

Hi everyone, first timer here.....HELP!!!. I have been on Avinza 10 mg in the a.m. and15 mgs oxycontin 4 x day for 1 year by a pain management Dr. I never had to increase...which it sounds like I'm lucky compaired to what I'm reading. I want off but tried cold turkey for 2 days and WOW.....I had every symptom and haven't slept in days. On day 2 I gave in because of the severe muscle cramps, crawlies and cold chills. I can stand everything but the jerky leg syndrome.

I'm sorry you are going through all of this.Being sick and detoxing is terrible. Do you have anyone who could hold your pills and doe them to you as prescribed? You got this far I would hate to see you relapse over this.

Was taking as prescribed 4-5 15mg oxycodone a day for fibromyalgia and RA, and decided to be done! Was tired of feeling numb to the world and not seeming to get anything done like I use to! Why would you even think of giving a dog Nyquil? Nyquil has a very high alcohol content and is definitely NOT good for dogs. Do NOT give it to him. What are his symptoms that you think he needs it?
