Common Questions and Answers about Ovulation period of women

period

Avatar n tn Ovulations usually occurs around day 14 of a 28 day cycle. You ovulate 14 days before your period. The first part of your cycle is what will vary. Your cycle starts the 1st day of your period. If your cycles are short by a couple of days, it would be around day 12 of your cycle or if it is long say 30 days long, it would be around day 16. Around cycle day (CD) 8 or 9, I start watching for signs.
Avatar n tn @palavee if u need 2 know your ovulation period. If u av a browsing phone go 2 google search 4 ovulation calendar n download it u ll no evrytin abt your ovulation period.
Avatar f tn The time to try and get pregnant is the tree days prior to and during ovulation. With PCOS it can be hard to predict when you are ovulating. Often, women use ovulation predictor kits that can tell them when (and if) they are ovulating. In a typical 28 day cycle, ovulation occurs at day 14. MedHelp also has an ovulation tracker application that can be helpful. You should discuss with your OB/GYN your desire to conceive and he/she can help you get started on the right foot. Good luck.
Avatar n tn The way you track your cycle is to being counting on cycle day one which is the first day of your period. The last day of your cycle is the day before your next period begins (as determined by when it starts). If you count it/track it-- you may notice a regular pattern which gives you an idea of when you might be ovulating. With the average cycle length, women ovulate around day 14 but sperm can live up to five days prior to that.
20922415 tn?1661860103 A short luteal phase of less than 10 days is an indication of insufficient progesterone levels. This often results in cycle disorders and a desired pregnancy is difficult to achieve or does not occur at all. Furthermore, low progesterone levels increase the risk of miscarriage in early pregnancy. Experts, therefore, recommend that in these cases progesterone should be given to support the pregnancy.
Avatar n tn About 10% of women will notice that they occasionally have a day or two of spotting about midcycle, right around ovulation. In fact, they may even notice that the fertile cervical fluid is tinged brown, pink, or red. This is a result of spotting mixed with cervical fluid. It is considered extremely FERTILE! Its usually due to the sudden drop in estrogen that precedes ovulation and is nothing to be concerned about. If anything it is a good secondary sign to record on your chart.
Avatar n tn Most women ovulate 14 days before the start of their next period. Some women have no signs or symptoms at all, but most will have a thicker, stretchier clear discharge just prior to. Other then that, the only way to know for certain is medical testing. Good luck.
Avatar n tn When you ovulate and start your period depends on your luteal phase. That's the time from when you ovulate to when you start your period. You don't always ovulate smack dab in the middle of your cycle. Some women with a 28 day cycle ovulate on CD14 (giving you a luteal phase of 14 days) while others can ovulate CD12 (giving you a luteal phase of days). It all depends on your cycle. So you may have a luteal phase of 10 days or longer.
Avatar f tn I have an app on my phone called " i-sure " - which is amazing! I have always kept track of my periods even before this app - but this app tells me all the days I'm ovulating and are most fertile. All you have to do is type when you first get your period and the calendar will indicate when you are ovulating.. even if your periods are irregular.. if you enter your first day of your period, it will always tell you when it's best to get pregnant.
Avatar f tn I was/am irregular as well. The best advice I can give you is to chart when you start your period. The longest cycle you have and the shortest take both numbers and subtract each of them by 14. For instance my longest cycle was 38 days and my shortest was 29. So 38 -14=24 and 29-14=15. So days 15-24 of my cycle are the possible days I'd be ovulating. My Luteal Phase (the time between ovulation and your next period) is 14 days.
Avatar f tn The average women will ovulate 14 days after the first day of her period but it is possible to ovulate at any point in your cycle.

Avatar f tn couple of days before ovulation, the ovulation day and the day after ovulation are the most probable days for conceiving. Hope that helps.
1380252 tn?1279892799 Women ovulate about 14 days BEFORE the start of their next period, but it can vary each month either plus or minus a few days. Some women have shorter or longer luteal phases (the time between ovulation and the next period), which can cause problems with conceiving. You can tell when you're going to ovulate by an increase in cervical discharge, that looks like an egg white, stretchy and clear.
Avatar f tn Exactly 9 days after my period I had intercourse and according to my period/ovulation app I Ovulated the next day which is day 10 after my period and I had sex day 9. But still have discharge but am having cramps my breast aren't sore and I have no period symptoms like usually every month I do.
Avatar m tn t still pregnant though we are doing continual sexual intercourse even pursuing the ovulation cycle that is in the mid cycle of the menstruation period before and after a couple of days. What would be the chance of pregnancy? I am very much frustrated of not blessed with child during the last 6 months. What should we do to resolve our aforementioned problem? I am looking forward your valuable answer.
Avatar f tn There's an app for that. I'm serious. It's awesome. I can tell when I'm ovulation and when my period is supposed to be coming. Also a lot of women find that they have more discharge while ovulating. Also might be a different color, consistency, or smell.
1693826 tn?1308864385 They can figure out the reason for why you are not getting your period and then they, most likely, will put you on the birth control pill to restart your period. There are a number of possible reasons for not having a period, like PCOS, cysts, or a hormonal imbalance, but only a doctor can diagnose you. Make a doctors appointment and find out what is going on. Hope it goes well.

971939 tn?1247816984 Hi, i want confirm if my PERIOD started on 16 of october, when should i expect my ovulation. What is my chances? I am in My early 30.
Avatar m tn Around 14 days before her next period, but as Choco says, she needs to be sure of when her period is coming to be able to use this method of timing. Some women are very regular with their periods and can therefore tell when they might ovulate, and others are less regular and so ovulation is more of a guess. Is this a situation where the girl wants to get pregnant and is trying to time things, or is this a boy who wants to get a girl pregnant?
Avatar n tn I'm guessing "chumm" is your period. most women ovulate 14 days after their period.
Avatar f tn If your cycles are regular, and 28 days (28 days from the 1st day of your period to the 1st day of your next period), you will usually ovulate around day 14. If your cycles are longer or shorter then that, you can basically assume you probably ovulated about 14 days before the first day of your period. I hope that makes sense, it can be a bit confusing. That being said, every woman is a bit different, and we don't all necessarily ovulate the same time.
Avatar f tn What are the chances of getting pregnant 4-3days before your period, especially if he ejaculated twice?
