We have to keep track of her INR or thickness of her blood on thinners to prevent strokes or pulmonary emboli. Kimchi, thank you for the advice about the pose because my x-ray was done in a standard pose. I will have my lungs drained tommorow when I return to my doctor. Now at least I know what to expect. I look forward to feeling some relief and not being so short of breath. I just figured the cough was from allergies or something. Were there cancer cells in your fluid?
CT scan—sometimes called CAT scanning is a noninvasive medical test that helps physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. CT scan combines special x-ray equipment with sophisticated computers to produce multiple images or pictures of the inside of the body. These images of the area being studied can then be examined on a computer monitor, printed or transferred to a CD.
On the ovarian cysts, while the OB-GYN said they were small, I think that since the gastro procedure found a bad polyp, I think you should re-visit your female doc and tell her that, and perhaps she can do a needle biopsy of those things, even tho cysts are common and are usually just left alone unless they get big. About your back pain, since the internal medicine doc ordered the scan, and he says that discomfort is from the bones in your back, then go with that idea.
The continued w/ Morphine and antibiotics. Additionally I had a sonogram that showed Gallstones and small ovarian cysts. The cysts were considered normal. I stayed in the hospital for 8 days on Morphine. The last procedure was a colonoscopy. It showed Diverticuli and some reddened areas, but nothing major. During my 8 day stay I was prepped for surgery 3 times. My doctors kept telling me they were worried and I can honestly say that I thought I was going to die.
Didn't get a follow-up till 2 months later and by then had this big bump on my abdomen. Then they got worried and another ultrasound, chest x-ray, ct and blood work and referred to a gyn-onc. Had surgery another month later for radical hysterectomy and told I had ovarian cancer. On chemo now and only 1 treatment left. But my advice to you is push for the tests/surgery sooner than later.
I switched to new dr who is willing to get to bottom of this..whew! go for barium x-ray tomorrow, hopefully that will reveal something and get an answer for whatever this is.
you seek further help and do not rely on some doctors or hospitals like she did ..you can be fooled like she was..and the x-ray of the chest did not show it!! and the tube down the throat. she also thought that is what caused her throat to hurt when she had that done in may.. also .. no sines of blood either just problems swollowing and weight loss..
has anyone been examined for ovarian cysts? also, in the lower left abdomen it could be gas.
I finally went to the doc in Aug 05. I wouldn't have but everything continued to cycle. Doctor checked lungs and sinus via x-ray: clean. She did a CBC and according to her, fine. Months ago, I went through my files and see that my WBC was elevated in August. She reported it as fine. My stools began to change: first they floated, then they became thin. In December, I was getting terrible left side gut aches. I attributed it to stress. When this happened, I gingerly took myself to bed.
Arent I too young for this? Its not my first, but it is in a new spot. I also have ovarian cysts, which I have had since I was 17. I'm on birth control and have been for a long time, so my only recollection of my natural period was that I didnt get it regularly. I also have chronic lower back pain, which wakes me up every morning, and intense sharp random pain, which feels like its attaching one ovary or the other.
Just have to check with urologist if anything is there on the way, if there is nothing in an X-ray and also after passing dye then you are clean and try taking some anti inflammatory drugs and also get yourself checked for hernia by a surgeon. Your case can be diagnosed by visiting a proper surgeon Please follow a right course and take care!
I have had the EXACT same symptoms as you were having with the pain under the right rib cage. I had also had many ovarian cysts and pain from them. My doctor also thought gall bladder problems because of the are and type of pain I was having. An ultrasound revealed nothing. Nexium for one months helped but when I stopped, the pain gradually got to the same level again, especdially when I woke up most mornings. I will tell you what I did.
The vaginal pain may be something more deep inside such as pelvic inflammatory disease, problems w/ the uterus, endometriosis, pelvic mass, bowel or bladder issues, scar tissue or ovarian cysts. I know I need to get to the doctor soon, but i don't know which way to go. Is this a gynocalogial problem? An intestinal problem? Any comments would be appreciated! Kindest regards to all.
Since the surgery I have continued to have the pain. I have had a CT-Scan on the Abdominal Area to Pelvis, Cystoscopy with x-ray of the kidneys, EKG, MRI-Brain Scan for headhaches, x-ray of the small intestines, Liver Function Test, Chem 7 test, and a MRCP to check the bilary tree for stones. All these test came back negative. I experience nausea and dull pain in my URQ and middle back constantly. Headhaches come and go. I am at the end of my rope and do not know what to do.

She's been through multiple operations for endometrosis and ovarian cysts. We're fortunate to have our kids. About a year ago her dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and is now institutionalized. We've made it through all of this, but it's really affected her. Now she's got a deteriorating vertibre and she's only 37. Seems like a lot for someone to be dealt. I keep all of this in mind, but I went through this too. I need her too.
I developed excessive burping about 8 months ago. I am a 23 year old Male. I have undergone many tests including X ray and Endoscopy. At first after the Xray I was told I have GERD. After the endoscopy I was told everything looks normal. This lead me to conduct my own research on why this extremely excessive burping is occuring everyday all day. I found on many medical sites from doctors that a direct cause of bloating and burping is BACTERIAL OVERGROWTH in the SMALL INTESTINE.
) Since then, I had an US in Feb on the right breast for 4 cysts (no follow up needed at this time) and a mammo on the left side in May for a new lump (cyst). Now in July, had my yearly mammo for which I got the call back for spot compression. I go in on the 10th. I'm doing fine mentally...just wish I didn't continue needing screenings. In march I also had a biopsy of the lining of my uterus (benign). I have conflicting feelings about screening...

They cut the dosage from 100IUs to 50IUs so hopefully that will help keep the cysts away. I spoke with the RE and we are going to try 2 more IUIs and then move to IVF. I had a bit of a breakdown this morning...so overwhelming and frustrating to be at this point. Thanks for your note Mommyin09 - you are so sweet. I'm sure you will be fine with clomid this cycle so the u/s is just a nice to have, not a necessity. Luvkayln - congrats on the promotion! I am curious about this tatoo!!
i also have sinus problems, frequent abdominal pain, high testosterone, high progesterone, joint pains, ovarian cysts that have been left unmonitored for several years now. i am experiencing the minor version of these episodes tonight. not as bad chills or pallor, but nausea, cramping and diarrhea, which started out as thin stool. i did have some milk earlier. i'm usually okay with hard cheeses and yogurts, so it may be a lactose intolerance thing contributing to the whole mess.
My doc is concerned and says I'm at higher risk since it's so soon after, and I also have ovarian cysts that keep rupturing and bleeding in my abdomen and causing me a lot of pain. I'm just hoping that everything turns out okay with this pregnancy. I was devastated by the loss of the last one and I really don't want to go through it again. How did you all cope with these feelings? I hope that all of you have healthy happy pregnancies and babies. Best wishes to all.
It really helps to know that I am not alone. Today I got an MRI, a GAMMA, chest x ray, ekg, and lab work. 2moro I will have out patient surgery so they can put the port in for chemo. That way I dont have to get stuck every time. I will start chemo on friday or at the beg of next week!! I am really not looking foward to it but I am ready to rid myself of cancer!! The docs are suggesting I do chemo first to shrink the tumor. Were you sick to the stomach alot during chemo??
Just got the call that my estrogen level is 160 and it should be 100 or below to start bcp. Also, I have cysts that needs to go down before starting the August/Sept cycles. I am going to remain calm and put everything in the Lord's hands.
Hello ladies, I will join this October forum. As you know just received a BFN about a week ago. October will be my last cycle so I will be bombarding God with my prayers, conversation, begging and pleading. Good luck ladies and I look forward to your support going forth.
I would love to have this corrected, but I do not know whether I should go to a plastic surgeon or someone else. I had a string of infected cysts removed from my left underarm years ago, and since then, there have not been any lumps under either arm. I have noticed that even some models have this condition. Thanks for letting me know that I'm not the only one concerned.
I did three rounds of clomid ranging from 50mg to 150 mg. Unfortunately i was not successful on clomid but I did get all of the wonderful side effects. Watch out for the hot flashes, headaches, and my personal favorites - the mood swings. These side effects lasted alll cycle for me. Also beware that many of the other side effects of clomid nausea, tender breasts, some cramping are also signs of early pregnancy. Good luck and SSBD to you!
I am praying and hoping for good egg quality for you! My RE is concerned about poor ovarian reserve/quality as well for me. My FSH numbers are higher than they would like to see. Like you, it was hard for me to hear that being 34. He put me on DHEA and I am going to acupuncture as well. I'm hoping it helps. If this 4th cycle I just completed on clomid/iui (I am 5dpiui) then I am most likely moving forward with IVF..I am scared though...guess I have not wrapped my head around IVF yet.
Two and half weeks ago I had an acupuncture session and about 1 1/2 days later I noticed a large bruise 1 x 2 inches in size on upper left chest about two inches below the collarbone. I blamed it on the acupuncture even though any bruising with acupuncture is usually immediate. This bruise still hasn't totally faded. Yesterday I felt that familiar pop in my right ring finger and sure enough a vessel popped.
It seems like the planets are out of line or something that so many crazy things happen to us all at once. Take care of yourself. Cysts can happen to anyone, but they are also very painful. I had one after my first IVF cycle. If you get re-occuring urinary tract infections, look into cranberry pills. They are suppose to help. A doc once told me that you would have to drink enough cranberry juice to pee red for it to really help with uti but now they have concentrated cranberry pills available.
