ovarian-cysts

I didnt do test at time but ten days later everything was the same (in fact stomach/breasts were more swollen) so went back and saw a female doctor. Again she suggested a pregnancy test (which I went straight home and did this time, it was negative) and also did blood screen to check for underlying problems. Had a phone appointment 5 days later, blood tests came back clear which she was pleased about and again she asked about test which I told her was negative.
I was very lucky as both cysts where removed by laparoscopy although the surgery took 4 and a half hours, I had a total of seven incisions and my surgeon managed to save both ovaries he repaired them both my monthly cycle was back to normal after the operation this all happened in February of this year.... I am now experiencing the same symptoms a swollen stomach more on the left side and this is solid I am concerned that I am growing another alien!
I now have had at least 4 ovarian cysts in the last year. In January I had one on each side, and I'm waiting to go in for an ultrasound in a few more weeks to see if they are still there, or if I'm currently experiencing symptoms for a new one, (I was feeling great in February). I also have a new Dr. cause my old dr just shrugged off my concerns, and this last time only told me I had one, and saying it was no big deal. I actually found out I had 2 and one was complex.

Has anyone had the same symptoms and if so, what was your diagnosis? I'm either thinking ovarian cysts or Endomitriosis. Help!!!! Thanks!
The symptoms you describe are symptoms of ovarian cancer, but they are symptoms of many other problems too. Having a large cyst can cause those problems and the vast majority of cysts are benign - especially in women our age group. Unluckily I was not in the vast majority - but it has been caught at a very early stage so for that I'm very thankful. Don't waste any time and go see your GP as soon as possible, they will then refer you.
It's possible you do have ovarian cysts (your symptoms are typical) but generally the distention and bloating persists unless your cyst has burst. If it is still there you should arrange for an ultrasound. Your symptoms can be many other things as well. My husband is suffering from abdominal distention, pain and digestive issues and thought he had it solved going on a gluten free diet but it keeps coming back.
* Nausea, indigestion or gas * Unusual fatigue/weakness * Shortness of breath Can they be found with benign and malignant cysts alike? Or are they more symptoms of one and not the other? Really struggling staying at work today. Sitting in a chair is not comfy and I really want to get out these pants!! Stress of the wait for results of course isn't helping, and I'm perhaps focusing on my symptoms more because of this.
I am very concerned since there is a history of so many cancers in my family including ovarian, colon and breast cancer. Yet I know that these symptoms could simply be caused by the cysts on my ovaries and am worrying about nothing. I called my doctor about my symptoms and scheduled an appointment. It took them a month to get me in and then when I got there my doctor had gone home so they sent me to another doctor who was new and taking my doctor's overflow.
Saw consultant yesterday(male) who thinks the pain is from the bowel as he feels ovarian cysts do not cause this many symptoms and this much pain!!!!. He wants to try giving birth or having a period. I know this is not a lot of help but just to let you know male doctors are of the same mind the world over(i am form the uk).
I'm worried I have ovarian cancer and the doctor mistook it for functional cysts. What is causing this pain? Can ovarian cancer be mistaken for functional cysts? The doctor said there's no threat of me having ovarian cancer because I'm too young and my CA-125 is normal. He doesn't think my reflux problem is related to my pelvic pain. Does anyone have any advice?
AND DID NOTHING!! I mean my stomach is still swollen after the procedure(after i flushed my system) This is the 9th day still swollen having a hard time breathing and pain in my chest, I can eat a little but only a little. I have tried looking up ovarian pain on google, but it keeps brining up cysts, or ovarian cancer, i don't think I have either, but this pain is annoying, so any reccomendations on what to take to stop the pain. I went in last month for a pap smear, and they didn't feel any cysts on my ovaries at all!! So please help!!!
I have a question have you ever heard of an ovarian tumor on the right ovary that was large enough to push on the vein in your right leg to cause a blood clot?
I would have heart palpitations at times and a general feeling of anxiety. I noticed that my stomach was swollen but put it down to the fact that I hadn't been going to the gym (no energy). But i t became really swollen and sore. What I thought were my kidneys also began to hurt and in the last 2 months the pain was like a dull ache in that area that sometimes woke me in the night.
//www.4woman.gov/faq/ovarian_cysts.htm What are the symptoms of ovarian cysts? Many women have ovarian cysts without having any symptoms.
I had ovarian cancer 1 year ago. When it was discovered my stomach looked like I was 9 months pregnant. This was due to fluid in my stomach from something they called "floaties". Apparently the floaties are cancerous. When I was operated on in June of 2003 they removed 25 pounds of fluid from my stomach before they could start. Good luck to you. So far all is doinf good for me. More tests this week and findings in a week and a half.
Two complex primarily cystic R ovarian masses with the dominant measuring 43x30x39mm and the other 36x18x14. Fluid in the cul-de-sac Thickening with endmetrial fluid and/or lucency measuring 15mm in thickness PLEASE give me suggestions on what it could be and advice and also could someone PLEASE tell me about how big my cysts are related to something.
My pelvic exam was extremely painful, hardly any of their pain medications helped relieve the pain. My stomach was so swollen, it looked like I could have had a baby in there. They gave me antibiotics, medication for inflammation, nausea, and of course pain. I then went to a gynecologist...she gave me new birth control pills and told me that i should be getting a period in the next week or so since my cyst had stopped me from menstruating.
where my abdomen swells and distends greatly and I have other symptoms as well - gas, diahrrea, general pain in stomach, heart racing, and this last time, I ran 102 fever, chills, aches, and my blood pressure and heart rate increased. I went to ER and had a CT scan of the pelvic area. The only thing it showed was free fluid. Last month when I had a similar attack I went to my gyno and had an ultrasound and it showed nothing but free fluid.
I feel like I am just raw on the inside and very swollen. I am noticeably swollen and have horrible gas for the last 2 weeks, since the pain started. All females on my mother side have had hystorectomies from age 21-32, my mom being the oldest. Does this sound like something that I should be concerned with? Doctor wants to see me back in 2 weeks to decide on the neccesity to operate. He says the size doesn't concern him but the amount of pain I have been in does.
I've been having those symptoms, and my doctor has told me it was an ulcer. It can cause your stomach to burn.Does your stomach burn after you eat?Or is the burning relieved by eating?Do you feel nauseated at times? You should go to the doctor(preferably a gastroenterologist)and have them check you out.
If you are experiencing the same symptoms you had originally, then I would suggest that you visit your Dr as soon as possible, as many times when you have a recurrence you can experience the same symptoms as you did in the beginning. I do not want to scare you by any means but if you were dx at stage 3 it is highly possible. I hope that there is another reason for your problems, but please see your Dr. and if for nothing else to ease your mind.
About a week and a half ago i had a cyst on my ovary ruptured i went to the er and they said there is nothing no one can do the pain will go away in a couple of days and here i am week and a half later and my stomach is swollen i dont hardly eat ifeel full i am still in pain and get sick to my stomach and light-headed i called the dr's and they wont see me for a week and a half...i feel like i can not keep going on like this does anyone have some recommendations?
I have had many symtoms, swollen stomach, severe pain, bladder spasms, brown dicharge, back pain, stomach pain, flank pain. The past 4 periods I have wanted to go to the hospital because I could not handel the pain. Huge blood clots, changes and pain in bowel movements. I have no energy, I always feel nauseated too. I told 2 OBGYN's and they just say it's endometriosis flairing up. I had an ultrasound and everything came back normal, yet I feel far from normal. One doc said it was also IBS.
It is true that the cysts can resolve and go away, as many here have had that happen. Also 99% of ovarian cysts are benign. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Her pcp wants her back Monday for bloodwork to rule out ovarian cancer (i guess CA125). Over this past week, she has become very tired and her stomach is distended. In August, she saw her GYN for her yearly exam. He did a preventative vaginal ultrasound which showed a very small cyst- nothing to worry about. Her pap smear was normal. She has a history of endometriosis and chronic hematuria.
My right leg is swollen about twice the size of my left leg and causes me to limp is not because of ovarian cyst, DVT or Baker's cysts. I am really confused here. Does anybody have any ideas for me???? And have I posted this to the right forum????
