Avatar n tn Hi, I have a couple of questions about ovarian cyst symptoms. Do ovarian cysts cause mid cycle spotting and lower back pain? And if so how common are these symptoms?
Avatar n tn I hear that ovarian cysts have the same symptoms as pregnancy. Anyone have experience with them and can tell the difference?
1531146 tn?1292108567 COuld be an ovarian cysts or a fibroid. Either of these can give pregnancy type symptoms. If you are still unsure about pregnancy take a hpt or see your doctor for an hcg blood test.
Avatar n tn t know what the large blood vessels means. When do you hear from your doctor on the results? Your symptoms are very indicative of ovarian cysts. There is some good information on the health pages (top right). Please keep us posted.
Avatar f tn Fibroids, ovarian cysts, PCOS, and endometriosis are all symptoms of estrogen dominance (high estrogen but low progesterone levels). Ovarian cysts can affect the menstrual cycle. That said, in perimenopause estrogen and progesterone levels are irregular and missed menstrual periods are a symptom.
Avatar n tn ve never had any pain even before I found out I had ovarian cysts. Usually its symptoms are prolonged bleeding, heavy bleeding, or absence of menses for a couple months (all of which I experienced). thatquitegirl is right, visiting a doctor would be the best thing to do to confirm any ovarian cysts and to know why youre having those abdominal pains.
543435 tn?1282242679 It may be b/c there can be so many symptoms and problems with cysts and everyone is different. Personally, I did not spot when I had my cysts but that doesn't mean it can't happen. I think cysts, when they grow and get out of hand, upset our hormones so maybe that's why you're spotting? You said you have a doctor appointment on Friday so please ask him/her about it.
Avatar n tn m 37, 4 kids, have been having some crazy symptoms and have been looking at so much info online about of fibroids, ovarian cysts, and ovarian cancer. All of these seem to have very similar symptoms. Obviously,I should just go to the doctor, but I'm worried and would like to know anyone elses opinion on this. Ex : Is there any specific symptom out there that I'll know is a huge red flag for cancer?
Avatar f tn What are the symptoms of ovarian cysts and tumors? Often, ovarian cysts don't cause any symptoms. You may not realize you have one until you visit your health care provider for a routine pelvic exam. Ovarian cysts can, however, cause problems if they twist, bleed, or rupture. If you have any of the symptoms below, it's important to have them checked out. That's because they can also be symptoms of ovarian tumors. Ovarian cancer often spreads before it is detected.
Avatar n tn This was my second visit to E.R. since 07 and they told me I have ovarian cysts. This last time the E.R. Dr. also told me I have fibroids, which another E.R. Dr. told me approx 14 years ago when I had the same problem, however, the regular gyn Dr. says it's nothing. It's my understanding that 12 months straight of no periods IS menopause and you shouldn't be getting cysts, but the Dr. says it's o.k. they sometimes form, and even though the E.R.
Avatar m tn The CA-125 test is not accurate in diagnosing ovarian cancer. If you do not have a predisposition for ovarian cancer then your lifetime risk is less than 2%. You said he didn't seem worried about the ovarian cysts. Is that because they were functional cysts which are part of the normal menstrual cycle? Those can sometimes hang around causing some symtpoms but almost always resolve within 2 cycles.
Avatar m tn More than 98%t of ovarian cysts are none cancer. Ovarian cysts in women are very common. Most resolve themselves with out surgery. If you can take something like Ibuprofen that can help with inflammation.
Avatar f tn suggested you do ? Ovarian Cysts and ovarian cancer can cause many similar symptoms. There is absolutely no way to tell for certain unless and until surgery is performed and the path results come back. Having said that, cysts are very very common and 95% benign. The best course of action is to speak with your physician to see what his recommended course of action is. They may possibly suggest removal, but sometimes, they prefer to wait awhile to see if they resolve themselves.
Avatar f tn what is endometrioma? Is it connected with complex ovarian cysts? How about "thickened uterine lining'?
1517845 tn?1311553534 I have cysts on both my ovaries and para-ovarian cysts. I've never had bleeding from my cysts (well not bleeding that I have put down to them) but as clysta said it could be from the pill. When the cyst burst you will definitely know. It is a sharp pain at your ovaries (lower than your hip bone above and centered at the crease of your leg) which will last for 15-30 mins. Its not excruciating pain but very noticeable and you may have discharge after the cyst bursts.
Avatar n tn Keep going to Dr's until you find answers........... I knew something was wrong but the Dr kept sending me to GI docs saying I had IBS. I never felt right and then I finally got answers. I had severe Endo and ovarian cysts. Endo can cause most all of your symptoms. I don't have any experience w/hair loss. I hope you feel better, I understand how frustrating it is!
Avatar f tn Hi there and welcome. Sorry you are having such discomfort. cysts in the ovaries is not uncommon. I've had simple cysts and passed them which seems like a very heavy period with bad cramps. Some women have many cysts and a disorder called polycystic ovarian syndrome. Ovarian cancer is often silent. It's a seeding cancer meaning tumors are very tiny and spread like sand blowing in the wind. They do grow but it takes a bit of time.
Avatar f tn What is the symptoms of ovarian cysts? i'm having a scan next week on my ovary's because the doctor wants to test for them.
