579959 tn?1218310678 I would call my gyn and bring the report. I don't want to scare you but I think you should also get a referral to a gyn/onc. I would do this sooner than later. I'm no expert on cysts or masses....and I know that having a cyst can cause alot of your symptoms..but I just wouldn't risk it. Follow up and be forceful. The pain you are describing is not normal..as a matter of fact..pain is never normal!!!
Avatar f tn Mostly they are symptomless But Ovarian cysts can, however, cause problems if they twist, bleed, or rupture. Most ovarian cysts will go away on their own. One of the most effective treatments for ovarian cysts is use of contraceptive pills or progesterone pills. It can also be treated surgically and this procedure is known as drilling. Other modes of treatment are laparoscopic surgery, laparotomy or surgery for complicated ovarian cysts.
3100626 tn?1341387176 Could this pain be cysts. In so much pain really getting scared my mom died.
Avatar f tn Has anyone downloaded the book "Ovarian Cysts No More" and used the program? Is it a scam or is it worth trying? I have a very large cyst and my appointment with the surgeon is still two weeks away. I am desperate to do anything in the meantime that could help shrink this cyst.
Avatar n tn We only know about ovarian cysts here since we've all had problems with cysts. Any other medical issues with liver, colon, will have to be answered by a doctor. The cysts should probably be examined by a gyn with an ultrasound and TV ultrasound to get a better understanding of them and what type they are. Cysts can cause ab and back pain (they put pressure on internal structures) and rupturing cysts can cause some horrific pain for awhile, swelling, and also infection.
Avatar n tn I went back to the Gyn and she did a pelvic exam and said that everything was fine. There were no cysts and that the back pain must be from something else. Well, two weeks later the pain has gotten much worse. I went to my regular doctor who checked my CBC and wanted to do a ultrasound, but couldn't get in for a week for the ultrasound. The pain is getting worse, so I went to the ER. They were able to do an ultasund and stated that I have bilateral ovarian cysts.
1294482 tn?1354489288 Hello, I cant really answer your question but I too have just had a scan and been told I have a 2.8cm cyst, though the nurse that did scan wasnt sure what sort of cyst it was? said it could be follicle cyst , i have to now wait up to 2 weeks for the results to be faxed to my dr then discuss what to do. I have NO pain and the only reason I went for a scan was because I havnt had a bleed this month and was on provera and clomid last month and think the clomid may have caused this.
Avatar m tn you will know. it is pain like you have never felt before in your stomach. its like cramps times 100. you may also faint or feel light headed. and no you do not bleed in all cases.
Avatar n tn Does birth control help with the pain from ovarian cysts? Does using birth control help ressolve the existing cysts? How long does it take for birth control to show progress in pain and resolution of ovarian cysts? I started using the nuva ring almost two weeks ago. I thought the pain was gone (as it had disappeared for over a week) then all of a sudden this weekend the pain returned with the same intensity. Does this mean the cysts are growing? I am growing extremely frustrated with the pain.
Avatar f tn 13gemini72 is right, endometriosis can cause very heavy periods and bad cramping. Also, cysts, no matter the size can cause pain. It is a wonder how something so small can cause pain, but it can. I'm glad to see that you are going to see your gynecologist. I know 3 weeks seems like forever away (I will have surgery in about 3 weeks), but maybe you could call your pcp and just tell them what your medical record shows and ask them what they think.
Avatar f tn Thanks for answering me. I'm thinking it's possibly gas pains. Today has been one of the easiest days. Definitely taking it easy.
Avatar n tn i had a mri for hip pain and it came back with ovarian cysts and bone cysts is there a connection?
Avatar f tn Hi I went in the er cuz I had sever stomach pain so the result of the test was ovarian cycts 1 on both sides. So today I went in and they told me that the one on my right side went from being 4cm to 91/2 n the left one 2cm to6 cm I'm freaked out I didn't ask any questions of the doc but she said I need them both removed asap. Im 23 I have a beautiful daughter I do want more kiss in the future but I'm scared. Does anyone think that they would have too take both our cut both ovaries.
Avatar f tn They wantedt to wait and see if they changed in two weeks times so I have a new ultrasound scheduled for next week. i have read alot of posts and seem that ovarian cysts are very common and especially after chemo. If they stay the same can they biopsy my ovary and the cysts before removing the ovary. Or should I just bite bullet and have them take it out? More chemo? What's next.
Avatar n tn My doctor used an ultra-sound to check the placement of the IUD and all was fine. However, she discovered that I had multiple cysts. She perscribed pain medications, and sent me on my way. My question is how long are they supposed to last? It is now mid-May and I still get the same severe pain. It shoots down my left leg, (sometimes the right) and across my back. It of course is in my lower abs, and makes me completely useless. It's daily.
Avatar f tn Nothing in my life had changed, at that time. No major life changes. And it was years ago and no one even knew about Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I would recommend seeing your gynocolgist.
Avatar f tn suggested that this is multiple cysts. I have absolutely no pain in that area. I have been a little concerned about bloating in my upper stomach area, but I attributed that to weight gain. I am 67 years old, and have had regular routine physicals every year, without fail. This past year, I had the works. Nothing has ever shown up. To say the least, I am very anxious about whats going on with me. I have a CT scheduled for this week, and a scheduled appointment with a specialist.
168348 tn?1379357075 I have MSK which is Medullary Sponge Kidney and many times the question comes up if there is a corellation between MSK and Ovarian Cysts. Same holds true with thyroid patients ... many ask oftentimes if there is an association between Ovarian Cysts and Thyroid conditions. Anybody have any thoughts on this? I am CL of the Thyroid Disorders and post on the new MSK (Medullary Sponge Kidney) Community ..
Avatar n tn Hi there. It is possible the pain could be due to cysts. I've never heard of a connection to coffee though. Do see your gyn and have a transvaginal ultrasound to be sure. Good luck!
Avatar f tn This new GYNO did a laparoscopy surgery to take biopsies to figure out what was causing so much pain. he noted I have multiple ovarian cysts measuring about 5.7. not sure what that exactly means.. but okay.. he noted that one fallopian tube is also severely damaged. and most likely has since birth. now present time Sept 2015 I have been put on Alysena low dose birth control to control excessive bleeding and cramps during my cycles. I have been on these pills for about 6 months.
Avatar n tn There are more than one flavor of ovarian cysts and some are more cause for concern than the usual ones that occur due to what I think of as a misfired egg. I've had plenty of those along with hemorrhagic and chocolate cysts from endometriosis. Those tend to not rupture on their own and surgery usually is only considered after the size has been tracked for a few months and it gets so large that it causes more symptoms or interferes with fertility. Ain't it great to be a woman?!
Avatar f tn In January of 2009, i had emergency surgery for an ovarian cysts on my right ovary. Apparently the cyst was 5 inches and twisted around my ovary. After the surgery, i had no pain up until June of that year. I had many ultrasounds done that confirmed i had small cysts. In April of 2010, i had laproscopic surgery to have a look to see what was going on. The doctor told me after that my ovary had dropped down due to a cyst and that my right tube was blocked.
