Avatar f tn C may sometimes be necessary to stop the bleeding. The ovarian cysts need further evaluation regarding their size and nature. Many of the cysts in young women respond to birth control pills or regress spontaneously. Hence it would be best to consult a gynaecologist for an evaluation. The answer is based on information provided. Exact advice is not possible without a proper examination and investigations. You are requested to consult your Doctor. Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar f tn with my 2nd child i also had ovarian cysts that were smaller but started to grow rapidly causing severe abdominal pain and ended up having a laparotomy at 16wks to remove the 11cm and 10cm cysts. But at no time had they ever caused any bleeding). A friend of mine was speaking to a nurse she knows about my situation and she said the bleeding and pain was likely caused solely by the cysts. So my question is, with cysts still relatively small would they cause the bleeding?
Avatar n tn I have been told they are ovarian cysts- but not specifics (no mention of the blood vessels in the radiology report) So I am planning to visit the doc again to ask more questions. I am mostly frustrated as I am still bleeding, having some pain, pain with sex. No fun. Thanks for the reply. I have been researching ovarian cysts heavily, and am trying to figure out what I should do next.
Avatar f tn What are the symptoms of ovarian cysts and tumors? Often, ovarian cysts don't cause any symptoms. You may not realize you have one until you visit your health care provider for a routine pelvic exam. Ovarian cysts can, however, cause problems if they twist, bleed, or rupture. If you have any of the symptoms below, it's important to have them checked out. That's because they can also be symptoms of ovarian tumors. Ovarian cancer often spreads before it is detected.
Avatar f tn I really hope someone can help im desperate!..Im 28 yrs old mommy of two and have always had a normal cycle up until a year and a half ago. Since then ive gained about 25 lbs and have crazy hot flashes. Im always in pain as if im cramping like menstrual cramps and my ovaries hurt to the point I have to lay in a fetal position. 1337047 tn?1275914064 m going to call his office tomorrow morning to see if I can hurry this up a bit. I just want to know if anyone out there has had bleeding due to pressure of an ovarian cyst (I feel very heavy and cumbersome and feel as if my insides are falling out). I'm losing weight too despite this thing growing still. Any help would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn Hi, Sorry, I don't know much about the "Mirena".. What does your Dr. say about the cysts? How were they found? You might check out the top right of this page "Health Pages" . It has a lot of information about Ovarian Cysts. Cysts are very common in younger women, but you must ask the Dr. about the IUD /Mirena. I truly have no idea about that.
Avatar f tn Hello, Your abdominal symptoms of constipation and rectal bleeding are related to each other but are unrelated to ovarian cysts. A complex ovarian cyst is less common than simple ovarian cyst. At such a young age it can eb dermoid cyst which is a type of complex ovarian cyst and is the most common type and develops during the childbearing age. Complex ovarian cysts are generally benign. The risk of malignancy is generally higher among postmenopausal women.
Avatar f tn posts about their complications with ovarian cysts and uterine fibroids but no one seems to experience the exact same thing im experiencing and I really wanna get to the bottom of it. I'm 19 and discovered i had fibroids when i was 16. it didnt really effect me and didnt give me any complications until december of 2015 (when i was 18). i started the birth control: nexplanon (the one they insert in ur arm), in september of 2014, and i didnt bleed/have my period up until dec. 2015.
Avatar f tn A sonogram cannot detect ovarian cancer, no test can. There is no test to detect ovarian cancer other than an actual biopsy. A sonogram will show if there are cysts/masses/tumors on your ovaries...and if they do say tumors, it does not mean malignancy. You are entering the menopausal age of your life, there could be numerous different things causing you to bleed.
Avatar f tn I have bleeding cysts but my doctor says they arent bad enough for surgery is her right?
Avatar m tn t t know where to put it so I put it here.
Avatar f tn I had went back to the er with sever pain on both sides, so they took me in to surgury which took 4 hr I dont remember a thing when I woke up they explain that one of my cysts had opened up and I was bleeding inside my stomach. I'm lucky they caught it in time and that still have kids and they didnt have to result anything.
Avatar n tn Hi I had no periods for two years - and then started with heavy bleeding a year ago. I, too, have a history of many ovarian cysts - all benign. But no cyst surgeries. I went to a new GYN (my old one was not worried and I was). The new GYN did an ultrasound to measure the thickness of the uterine lining and it was over 6 - it should be under that if you are menopausal. So the next step was endometrial biopsy and D&C.
Avatar n tn Many cysts do resolve themselves but the fact that you are having pain may mean they have not. Please have your doctor run another transvaginal ultrasound to check. Good luck with everything.
Avatar f tn The pain, an ovarian cyst can provide. But the bleeding? I've had a lot of ovarian cysts in my day and never once did any of them bleed. Bleeding like a period (or a little less) sounds like a progesterone drop for whatever reason. If the op's natural hormone levels shifted slightly downward, that could have caused a not-enough-progesterone situation that has caused the bleeding.
Avatar f tn I have never been diagnosed with any cancer, endometriosis, never pregnant, and there is no history of ovarian cancer in my family (although my dad passed away in Dec. from melanoma). The only surgery I have had is emergency appendectomy when I was age 11 or 12 years. The only scans I have had of my pelvis were in the last month (ultrasound then MRI). Blood test for CA-125 tested in normal range, but ultrsound and MRI indicate complex cyst and cannot rule out cystic neoplasm.
Avatar f tn I have a long history of ovarian cysts that usually go away, but also a family history of cancer. They came across a larger than usuall one on my left side and started to watch it, as of now it has continued to grow and they're now considering it complex. My question is they tested my Alpha-Fetoprotein levels and they are elevated, is this common with ovarian cysts or does this mean I need to be concerned with cancer? Any and all information would be appreciated.
Avatar n tn I'm sorry your mom had ovarian cancer. It's hard to say what may have caused this early bleeding. Cysts can cause hormonal changes. But it could also be the hormonal changes associated with perimenopause, the years leading up to menopause.
Avatar f tn I have been having lower abdomen problems (burning constantly) for about a year. I have been seeing a Gastroenterologist and have numerous test done and have been diagnosed with GERD and Barretts Esophagus and IBS. I take medication and watch what I eat but nothing helps. I had a CT Scan for these problems and it showed a cystic mass on my ovary so I had to go to my Gyn and had a Pelvic Sonogram. I have read that sometimes Ovarian Cancer can have the same symptoms as these other problems.
Avatar n tn i read on a medical web page not long after finding out that i myself have a hemmhoragic cyst on my left ovary that fertility drugs can help to cause ovarian cysts because most ovarian cysts are caused by the eggs not making it all the way out of the ovary or something of that sort and they just kind of pile up inside of the ovary and form a cyst. however, i did read that most ovarian cysts go away sometime during ovulation.
