518121 tn?1211751734 Hi, am 45 years old married and no children, I was recently diagnosed with endometrosis ovarian cysts, and calcium deposit in my right kidney, I was having this symptoms since I was 15, like, pelvic pain, pain in my right side, I did IVF in 1997 and had my fellopian tubes open 5 years ago but did not get pregnant. How did doctors miss the endometriosis and cysts when they performed surgeries and IVF?
Avatar f tn ur going for ivf this month, does that mean u have taken stimulant meds? do u have a history of ovarian cyst?
Avatar f tn Ovarian cysts are common and rarely malignant. They typically resolve on their own within 3 or 4 months. Two common types of benign (non-cancerous) cysts that are hypoechoic on ultrasound are endometriomas and hemorrhagic cysts. I hope this helps ease your mind. Best of luck conceiving.

Avatar f tn I wouldn't try the IVF so soon, even though you're 36 that's pretty young for trying to conceive. You're probably right with attempting IUI first and see how you respond to ovarian stimulating drugs. They can test you also for your ovarian reserve. If ovarian reserve isn't great than maybe the IVF...ask about clomid challenge test and/or anti-mullerian (sp?) hormone (this one's better) to test your ovarian reserve. Godd luck to you.
Avatar f tn Lets see... I just finished up my 2nd IVF cycle. My R.E. up me on lupron, gonal f/follistim, & menopur. I also have severe endometriosis. While on gonal f, with my 1st IVF cycle. I got 7 embryos & cysts. With my 2nd cycle, my dosage of follistim was increased; as a result: I ended up getting 1 embryo which my dr. called "parthenogenisis"- the embryo divided itself & kept dividing & would end up dying. Everything else that was found ended up being a cyst.
1448645 tn?1370067496 Fertility meds can most certainly cause delays in AF. After my first round it was almost a month late. Ovarian cysts can cause a delay also and there could be a good possibility after stim drugs. Best of luck to you!
Avatar f tn t believe your dr gave you clomid if you hae pcos.
Avatar n tn I am 37 years old, had a hysteroscopy and laparoscpy on April 23rd in preparation for an attempt for pregnancy. I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure. During my surgery a cyst was found on one of my ovaries. The surgeon removed fluid however was not able to remove the cyst becuase it is against my bowel wall.
Avatar f tn Hi girls- as many of you know DH and I are finally going for our 1st IVF in Jan. Just a quick Q- I am not PCOS but am prone to ovarian cysts (endometriomas) often large. Will this inhibit my OI or retrieval? I kinda think not since sooo many if patients have cysts I sure they deal with this issue all the time. Just wondering.... SSBD and CONGRATS to all those BFPs out there!!!!
1294482 tn?1354489288 Having fertility issues of my own and a family with many of the same issues I have been thinking about my little sister. She has been in and out of the ER twice in the past week with an ovarian cyst. She says it hurts so bad she cannot do anything. I had cysts when I was younger, like 10-15 years ago and they always burst on their own. This one she has seems to be stubborn. It is only 2.4 cm big but she cannot get into a dr.
Avatar f tn and nothing happened in November due to a big ovarian cyst. A shot of progesterone shrunk the cyst and my period came after being delayed almost a week. Now it is December.. I know I am under stress due to the holidays and the TTC stuff, but I should have ovulated over the weekend and all the OPKS are neg,, and I am on day 18. So Im assuming it's not going to happen. I have an appt with RE in the morning and he may do an u/s to see if another cyst has formed. I am prone to ovarian cysts.
Avatar f tn If your ovarian reserve is poor, you may want to consider adoption or egg donation. If your ovarian reserve is good, you probably ought to consider moving to ivf asap. Certainly, it is common to try IUI for up to 3 cycles, and then move on if it hasn't worked. I hope this information is helpful! Good luck!
1279767 tn?1277229374 My husband and I have been trying to conceive for about a year off and on with no luck. We have purchased box after box of those over the counter ovulation tests and still no luck. I talked to a few friends and family members about the problem and one thing that keeps popping up is the possibility of me having ovarian cysts, as my mother had them...but yet here I am, so evidently she wasn't infertile.
Avatar m tn Hello, I think I am having side effects from the infertility meds but my egg retrieval was exactly 28 days ago and the ivf cycle did not take. However, I am having the same exact symptoms just not quite as bad (nausea, bloating, headache diahhrea and general maliase) that I did from the 5th day that I was on the fertility meds. I had ovarian hyperstimulation symptoms but never any cyst or free fluid and 22 eggs were retrieved.
Avatar n tn Hello There! I was just diagnosed with endonetriosis in my left ovary and ovarian cyst on the right. Is it possible that I can still get pregnant without having surgery?
Avatar f tn after six months of trying i went for scan which showed endo cysts on my both ovaries ,one on each. so then my doctors performed lap and dye any ovarian cystectomy to remove cysts. they checked my tubes they were fine. they removed the cysts but they left ten percent of cysts inside me. again after six months i went for scan they have reoccured on both sides. my doc reffered me for ivf. now they are giving me iui treament. first one is failed .i m waiting for second one. i m only 25 year old.
Avatar m tn I definately can vouch for that, as I went through it as well as many other women I know. Also, avoid caffeine. Caffeine plays a major role in cysts in the ovaries and breasts. My sister, who has five children, has gotten her tubes tied. She, too, has to take birth control just to control the cysts in her ovaries. She is a big caffeine drinker though. Im sorry about your bad news. I will be 36 soon, and have been trying to conceive as well.
Avatar f tn I had three aspirated during IUIs before we finally tried IVF. We were successful in our first attempt and have had no further issues with cysts. Your OB can definitely provide some direction, so talk to him or her. As Jroxy posted, trying on your own with cysts may prove far more frustrating than you'd think. Let your doc help!
Avatar f tn I have a history of ovarian cysts and recently had a laproscopy done to remove minor endo and a couple of ovarian cysts. WHen I had my first Day 3 FSH test done in Oct it was 10- not an issue according to my RE. I had the test re-done in Feb when I was also having issues with some small cysts on my ovaries, and it came back 1.6!! Very low, but both gyn and RE said that was "very good".
Avatar f tn First one failed, then tried a couple of times but due to persistent ovarian cysts I had to discontinued. Now, this is my second IVF, yesterday was my 10 Day post embryo transfer and had some spotting in the morning, I was devastated so my husband bought me a hpt and it came postitive!, today in the morning since I was still in shocked took another one and came positive. My concern is that this afternoon I started having brown discharge, not to much, enought to wear a panty liner.
Avatar f tn it has a tendency to cause cysts in women with PCOS and you really should have a scan with each cycle. good luck if you have any other questions feel free to msg me.
629668 tn?1222914854 which is still around the corner, we are so excited yet scared, i found out i have PCOS which is scary because i was told for years i had 2 ovarian cysts and now that i have good insurace i found out it was reall hundreds of cysts!
Avatar f tn Anechoic cysts tend to be filled with fluid so that is a good sign. Cysts related to ovarian cancer tend to be complex (with solid parts) and grow larger than 5cm. Most cysts (even complex ones) turn out to be benign. It is the general recommendation to watch and wait cysts that are simple and under 5cm. But, since your cyst is already 4.1 cm., I can see why your doctor has mentioned surgery as a possibility. It is possible for your cyst to go away on its own in time.
Avatar f tn I have had two ruptured ovarian cysts (that I KNOW of) in the past 3 years. Each episode left me exhausted and weak and with the "shaky leg" syndrome you described. My gyne insisted that I rest at home in bed for at least 3 days after the ruptures. The pain seems to take a lot out of one. What you describe sounds like normal recovery to me. May God bless you and please try to take it easy.
Avatar f tn I have been on oral contraceptives since 10 years. In july i found a simple cyst which measured 2.6 cm, in september it was 3.6, and in november (yesterday) it was 5,8 cm. I was told to come back in 6 weeks for another ultrasound. I am 35, in perfect health apart from this and now I feel I have a ticking bomb in my abdomen. Do you think I should just wait considering i have only one ovary or look for a place to do aspiration of the cyst?
