Avatar f tn Also I have found a small, hard knot behind the opening of my cervix. Ovarian cysts, ovarian cancer, and endometriosis are something that has occurred in my family many times. I am terrified. I have made an appointment at my gynecologist (sp?) but I have to have a referral to see them. My appointment is in 6 days and I don't know any doctors around where I now live to receive a referral. I am curious to know if others have had these symptoms and what did they turn out to be.
Avatar f tn nabothian cyst noted in the cervix cystic lesion in the left ovary measuring up 2.
Avatar n tn At different times in your cycle your cervix will be high or it will come down low. Also, it could be ovarian cysts. I get these a lot!! And when I have sex even though the sex itself doesn't hurt, but when (sorry tmi) he's thrusting inside of me, while he's in as far as he can go will hurt and I can feel the pressure pain around my ovaries. Have you ever been told that you have had ovarian cysts before? They're quite common and they come and go during your cycles.
Avatar f tn Nabothian cysts are fluid filled cysts that occur on the cervix (the opening to the uterus). I have a few of them, as well as a history of ovarian cysts and a dermoid that is going to be surgically removed in a few weeks time. Nabothian cysts are different from ovarian cysts in that you don't need surgery but you can have your doctor do an internal exam and biopsy them.
Avatar f tn I also get pink discharge or bleed after. You should post your question in the ovarian cysts forum, and endometriosis forum. Doesnt hurt to cover all bases. But your best bet is to contact your gyno and tell them whats going on, so they can find out why. Hope this helps.
Avatar m tn I recently went to the Dr. and was given results of my ultrasound. I was advised that I have several cysts in my cervix. Should I be concerened? & Is this why I have lower back pains? Please advise as I am worried just a little.
Avatar n tn MOST ovarian cysts (even complex / suspicious looking ones) are benign and it seems ovarian cysts are more common after hysterectomy due to the histological changes to the ovaries (likely due to loss of blood flow and feedback loop with the uterus). If your gynecologist deems this cyst concerning based on the traits specified on the ultrasound, you will want to see a gynecologic oncologist.
Avatar n tn However, you will most likely find women who can help you, women who have been in your situation in the Ovarian Cyst forum. If you scoll down to the right side of this page you will see Related Communities (underneath Community Members) and the Ovarian Cyst link is there. Those women are very experienced with ovarian cysts and I am sure they will be able to answer your questions.
Avatar f tn I am pretty sure that Nabothian cysts are always on the cervix and I don. So I guess you have those cysts plus cysts on your ovaries. But keep in mind that ovarian cysts are a normal part of the menstrual cycle. Sometimes though they hang around longer than normal and, less rarely, they are problematic and need to be removed such as if they get too large or look suspicious.
Avatar n tn You want to know the results of the PAP test and ask about the polyp on the ovary and if you should have a repeat transvaginal ultrasound. We are not Doctors, we are women who have had ovarian cysts or ovarian cancer, you need to discuss your concerns with your DR. They are the only person who can give you the entire picture. There may be a tie in between the eosaphagitis and bloating and gas.
Avatar n tn Hi There, one simple way to know if cysts are functional - that is- related to the ovarian - menstrual cycle is to wait a cycle or two and rescan. Cysts that are related to ovulation will be gone and be replaced by new cysts with the new cycle. A persistent or growing cyst may be a tumor benign or malignant. Ca 125 is not a screen for cancer. The result just tells us that this cyst or tumor does not produce the CA 125 protein. I am assuming that tha 4.5 cm, 2.8 cm, 3.3 cm and 4.
1227504 tn?1267283544 I had a Hystorectomy about 8 years ago but left the Ovaries at the time. I have no Uterus or Cervix. I have been in the ER 3 times cause of the pain.
Avatar f tn Do you know anything about polycystic left kidney, one ovarian cyst, cyst on cervix and endometriosis strip in my uterus. Also have a mild pituitary asymmetry adenoma found in august 2010 by mri at neurologist.Have hard thrush in my mouth. Had shingles on left side of body. Bacterial infection on skin, use presc. body wash. Passed several kidney stones, have severe constipation. Had to have my appendix removed last year. Gullbladder was removed several years ago.Have fatigue all day.
Avatar f tn suggested you do ? Ovarian Cysts and ovarian cancer can cause many similar symptoms. There is absolutely no way to tell for certain unless and until surgery is performed and the path results come back. Having said that, cysts are very very common and 95% benign. The best course of action is to speak with your physician to see what his recommended course of action is. They may possibly suggest removal, but sometimes, they prefer to wait awhile to see if they resolve themselves.
254714 tn?1316613355 i had done in Dec 2009 bilateral ocarian cysts areidentified once again. the right ovarian cyst appears complex vs two adjacent cysts with a combined cystic structure measuring 3.3*5.6*3.3 cm representing an interval increase in size greatest dimension of 4.2cm on 10/29/09 no color doppler blood flow is demonstrated nor nodularity internally. overall the right ovary measure 3.1*6.5*4.0 cm the left ovary is also slighty enlarged measuring 3.4*5.2*4.
Avatar f tn I'm not an expert but it does look like she has two ovarian cysts with one being a dermoid cyst. These can cause a lot of symptoms and hopefully she is now set to get this dealt with. Do take a look at the health pages (top right) for info on types of cysts and symptoms. In her case it is likely they will use a laparoscope and remove the cysts. What did they say the next steps were? It is likely that MedHelp will move your posting to the Ovarian Cyst forum.
Avatar n tn If you do have the surgery, I suggest a gyn/oncologist do it or to be available to step in if needed. Most cysts are benign, but once we are past menopause, cysts cause more concern. The only way to know for sure is with a biopsy.
Avatar f tn I also gained some weight and lost my sex drive. Has anyone else had these symptoms w/ ovarian cysts. I have been tested and I am not in menopause! Any advise would be helpful. thanks!
Avatar f tn Cervical cancer and ovarian cancer are not related. Breast cancer has a stronger link to ovarian cancer. Bilteral is a really strange result. That means "on both ovaries" but you only have one ovary left. What type of doctor did the surgery? Gynecologist? Other? I would want a gynecologist/oncologist's opinion. Complex cysts are the most worrisome and you want to know more about these cysts. 5.
Avatar f tn I have had about 5-6 laproscopic surgeries due to ovarian cysts and endometriosis, 2 leeps from precancerous cells on my cervix.
Avatar n tn s just normal monthly cycle stuff. Nabothian cysts are unrelated to ovarian cysts and are almost always benign features that are left alone unless causing discomfort. There should be a pap smear done of the cervix to make sure normal results are obtained.
1054801 tn?1327948399 this question is for my cousin she found out that she has a cyst in her ovaries she has sharp pains when she goes pee she has inflamatory in her cervix said she can feel heavyness when she walks she has lost a lot of weight the doctor just gave her a shot to ease the pain she gets her ultrasound done on the 27th can anyone give me advice on what u think it may be or has anyone experince these symptoms does it sound like cancer! thanks..
Avatar m tn It says you have cysts on both ovaries. If you do not have the BRCA gene you have a 1.4% of ovarian cancer in a life time. 98% of ovarian cysts are benign. It is very rare to have cancerous cysts on both ovaries The left ovary cyst is smaller than your last ultrasound. I have no medical training. I would let my doctor explain it to me.
Avatar n tn Over the past few days she is complaining of a pressure in her lower abdomen. She went to her OB/GYN today and he said that her cervix looked healthy ( he did a pap smear and we will have results next week). He also said that her uterus felt fine, but he wanted her to have an ultrasound to check for ovarian cysts. That is not scheduled for over ten days. I am attempting not to be an anxious mother.
Avatar n tn Are you saying they found precancerous cells on your cervix and removed it and your uterus in your surgery? Did they remove both of your ovaries in your previous operation? If so there could be a remnant left that now has a cyst.
Avatar n tn This would probably be better answered on the ovarian cyst forum. Most cysts and masses are benign, Only about 12 % are ovca. If in doubt, ask to be referred to a gyn/ocologist.
