I've had pain on my right side, pain under my belly button, gas, bloated, constipation, back pain, heavy periods, tenderness near my c section cut and severe gas and gas pains can't have a bowel movement w/o a laxative.
Majority of women do experience ovarian cysts and they generally do go away on their own without any damage. Caution that if it is on the larger size then it could rupture or twist in which you will experience extreme pain. If this happens it is an emergent situation and you need to go to the ER. Many women find that they need to get second and third opinions in order to get answers they need from someone they trust.
and make sure none of your cysts burst because it will be very very painful which will accompany with fever..but i would suggest you get on birth control to regulate and for further possiblities in having children later on ...i was diagnosed at 15 with pcos and didnt get prego til i was 21..so the sooner you take care of it the better..Good luck!
You should ask your doctor if you have been checked for pelvic infections. You should also ask your doctor what was the nature of the ovarian cysts that were renoved. You should ask for a copy of your operative note and pathology report. Other types of ovarian cyst that return incldue cysts of endometriosis, and benign fluid collections within scar tissue. For benign fluid collections, i sometimes recommend draining them without surgery.
BILATERAL CYSTIC ADNEXAL LESIONS, LIKELY REPRESENTING OVARIAN CYSTS. What does bilateral low attenuation lesions mean? Is bilateral same or worse than having unilateral? What should I do next? I have a pelvic ultrasound scheduled in a week. As I am still having occasional intense pain, should I try to get in sooner or should I go to the ED again? Torsion or rupture possible? Help!
I'm not a Dr so I can't answer your question, but I feel your doing what you need to have done by going to see your gyn.
Ultrasound is showing clear cysts, no mass, 2 cysts on each ovary, this is the the first time I have missed my mentrual cycle. Some pain on my lower right side, back. I am advised now to see a dr. for my bowels... my symtons do not include fever, vomiting, diarrhea. I have constant tenderness in my ovary and naval area, a dull pinching sensation, constant dull ache, and feel full quickly when I eat...
I've gone 4 days with no pain, and the last time I had the pelvic pain was the day I started spotting. I just wondered if this sounds like ovarian cysts issues or if I might have something else that they are not seeing. It seems to be going away, but every time I think that, I feel the mysterious discomfort again and start getting nervous. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's nothing major.
How many of us with Dx Ovarian Cysts also have been dx Hypothyroidism? This may have been asked before, if so.. sorry for the repeat, but I missed it.. I have both. I was dx. with Hypo. 10-15 years ago.. Had Ovarian Cyst dx. last year..
It's good that she went to the doctor when she had a lowgrade fever. In fact, doctors will tell you to go to the ER if you develop a fever and have cysts. Better safe than sorry. If a cyst ruptures, it does cause even more pain, but it subsides within a few days. All your daughter can do is continue to see her doctor and monitor the cysts. If she's ever concerned because she gets a fever or unbearable pain, she should go to the ER and get checked. Especially if she has a complex cyst.
I have a small one and I am in sooo much pain. I have had cysts before, but never pain like this. I also have fever, chills, fatigue, no libido, and inflammed lymph nodes on and off for over a year.

There is a whole page that can give you all the information about the different types of ovarian cysts in the health pages on this board. Just click on them on the upper right side of the page and you will find them listed in there. A septated cyst is one that has chamber or walls inside the cyst. If you can give more information about your cyst and the results of your CT it would be helpful. I would not use any natural cures without your doctors approval.
Your daughter's vesicoureteral reflex could have put her at greater risk for getting ovarian cysts. Usually, they are nothing to worry about . Only when they reach 4cm or larger is surgical intervention needed. The cyst should go away on its own over time. Even in children without urinary tract issues, ovarian cysts do occur. Again, they are almost always an incidental finding and go away on their own. If you notice your daughter having more pain, then it would be good to have a recheck.
I dealt with it all day, and by 10 PM it hurt so bad that I went to the ER fearing it was my appendix. I was surprised to find it wasn't my appendix but 2 ovarian cysts. They did a CT scan, along with 2 ultrasounds, 1 of which was internal. The Dr said I had 2 cysts, 1 golf ball size, and the other the size of a marble. I am to follow up with an OBGYN in 6-8 weeks.
but in the meantime I started bleedin very heavy and passing some very thick clots. I spoke to a nurse in the office and she said it may be because one of the cysts bursted. Well the bleeding slowed almost to a stop then this past Friday I my stomach felt unsettled and by the evening I felt like I was running a low fever and was bleeding heavy again and pasing clots. Saturday was okay but now again on Sunday I am passing clots so that I am having to change out every 30 to 45 minutes.
It is going on 3 weeks now. I still have quiet a bit of back and lower abdomen pain. No fever, some nausea but no vommiting yet. This is now interrupting my whole daily schedule. I am exhausted, in pain and unsure what to do. I do not bleed at night but as soon as I get up I bleed alot through out the day. I would like someone else's insight on this and maybe a possible solution or something i can bring forth to my doctor to help in riding these issues.
It is very difficult to determine the cause of pelvic pain. Ovarian cysts can cause sharp, stabbing pains or a dull ache. Appendicitis often presents with severe pain on the right side and other symptoms like nausea and fever. But, there are times when the appendix is inflamed and causes a more chronic pain, so it is important to rule out appendix problems if your pain is on the right side. A scan and blood tests can usually tell if the appendix is to blame. Cysts are so varied.
