1259649 tn?1336414032 Many times ovarian cysts go away on their own. If it doesn't go away or if there's several cysts, the treatment is laproscopic surgery to remove the cyst(s). Check back with your doctor in a couple of months to retest. If it hasn't resolved itself, make an appt. for the treatment.
Avatar f tn Ive had a ongoing problem with ovarian cysts, and during my first treatment a doctor as good as told me long term use of this contraceptive could have been to blame...since then another medical professional has hinted the same thing.I cant help but wonder if this could be the case, after all contraception of any invasive type interferes with normal bodily functions so cant do you any good really.
Avatar n tn i read on a medical web page not long after finding out that i myself have a hemmhoragic cyst on my left ovary that fertility drugs can help to cause ovarian cysts because most ovarian cysts are caused by the eggs not making it all the way out of the ovary or something of that sort and they just kind of pile up inside of the ovary and form a cyst. however, i did read that most ovarian cysts go away sometime during ovulation.
Avatar f tn Hello Sorry to hear about the cyst it does sound like your CA 125 is slightly elevated but that is also due to the ovarian cyst. I had an ovarian cyst about a month ago and they placed me on birth control pills which i would not consider due to it messing up your cycle but also the cyst can sometimes goes away by itseld after you usually get your period but that all do determined the size. But as for the elevated results i would agree with OzBron about the endometriosis.
Avatar n tn I recently started going through fertility treatment. The HSG I had in the beginning of August came back completely normal. There was concern because I had a very small spot of endometriosis on my cervix, which is an unususal area. The HSG showed that my uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries were fine. Today I went in for a routine ultrasound and bloodwork prior to doing a clomid challenge test. I have never done fertility treatment before.
Avatar f tn I had 5 lg ovarian cysts that my dr. (OBGYN fertility) wanted to surgically remove from my uterus. I had a friend tell me about CASTER OIL as a remedy for naturally removing the cysts by using "cold pressed caster oil compresses". I tried this and it worked !!!- it actually removed all 5 of my cysts!! Now my doctor is upset with me. Saying it's not safe. Really and surgery is?? People have use caster oil since Before Christ. Why is this not safe?
Avatar f tn Follicle cysts. These cysts form when the sac doesn't break open to release the egg. Then the sac keeps growing. This type of cyst most often goes away in 1 to 3 months. Corpus luteum cysts. These cysts form if the sac doesn't dissolve. Instead, the sac seals off after the egg is released. Then fluid builds up inside. Most of these cysts go away after a few weeks. They can grow to almost 4 inches. They may bleed or twist the ovary and cause pain. They are rarely cancerous.
Avatar f tn I have had an ultrasound and MRI that indicate an ovarian cyst (6cm, 4cm) in my left ovary. OB/GYN suggests oopherectomy and testing cysts during thsi surgery to determine if more would need to be done. MRI shows septations and Ultrasound mentioned something about possibly internal papillary projections. MRI offers no definitive answer...just possibility cyst could be a hemmoragic cyst, an endometrioma, or cystic neoplasm.
1016941 tn?1292444386 Ovarian cysts usually go away on their own, however, ovarian cysts can persist and get worse. If too many cysts cover the ovaries, eggs to fail to develop or be released. If this is the case for you, you'll need laparoscopic surgery to remove the cyst(s). Do you notice any other symptoms during your cycle? There could be one of a number of fertility challenges.
Avatar f tn the only time i get the cysts or cyst is at ovulation. So I am soldering if the cysts can cause fertility issues or are prevent my eggs from releasing? Any info or advice will be appreciated.

Avatar f tn On March 30th, I had a laporascopy to have my two ovarian cysts removed (both on the left ovary). However, during the surgery my gynecologist discovered that one of my cysts had dissapeared (either reabsorbed or ruptured) and that my other cyst was twisted. On top of this she found a "small amount of endometriosis that was treated". I don't have a post-op until June 1st because I will out of province. I was just wondering what my prognosis is? Will it come back?
Avatar n tn Dear All Goodman Doctors, my wife 39 is diagnosed with only left mucinious cystadecarcinoma ovarian cancer upstaged to 1C due to rupture during the initial surgery. She had just completed another round of surgery with a total removal (Uterus, right ovary, appendix and omemtum) as advised by our surgeon.
Avatar m tn As the other poster said, larger ovarian cysts can cause urinary urgency. So can large uterine fibroids. Most cysts go away on their own within 2 or 3 cycles so I would not worry much unless your symptoms worsen especially if you start having pain which could be a sign of the cyst rupturing, leaking, or twisting the ovary. Since most cysts resolve on there own, there should not be any impact on fertility.
Avatar n tn Yes this is appropriate for ovarian cyst treatment. She may have some bloating like a period and even carmping for a couple of days. Cysts are eggs that form and don't release. They are ususally recurrent, often cause pain then rupture on their own. Common treatment is birth control pills which stops ovulation. See a GYN so you can avoid the ER next time.
Avatar f tn Some ovarian cysts can be associated with decreased fertility. However, it depends on the type of ovarian cyst (endometrioma or PCOS). Other cysts like functional cysts, cystadenomas and dermoid cysts are also there. You need to get your daughter examined from a gynecologist as treatment depends on the type of cyst. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar f tn It is possible to ovulate with these cysts and majority of unilateral and bilateral ovarian cysts will disappear on their own within a few months .Monitoring the cysts or prescription of painkillers is the only treatment. For more queries and assistance clinical examination and work up may be necessary. Visit a gynecologist. I hope it helps. Best luck and regards!
