It did get somewhat smaller as my cysts resolved. I have also noticed enlarged lymph nodes when I had cysts before. I asked the GP, my OB/GYN, and the surgeon if they could be related to the cysts and none of them thought so. However, my personal experience leads me to believe that they are. I wonder if the immune system in some people just reacts that way to ovarian cysts. It certainly seemd to be the case with me. I wish you the best of luck on your path report!
They drained it because at first the ultrasound scan said multiple fine echoes, most likely a hemorrhagic cyst or endometrioma, I too cant beleive he drained it once he went in, he said it will show completely solid because he has drained the fluid so its all conjealed, so I am wondering if its all the hair that you get in dermoids that lumped together, the fluid was okay when tested, but I am concerned the solid tissue wont be, and now I am worried he could have spread cells and I keep thinking
t have appendicitis, but they found that the lymph nodes near my appendix were swollen. They sent me home and told me to check up with my doc. so when i did a few days later, she told me i have a virus that causes my lymph nodes to swell. All she did was give me Naproxen because it's an anti-infammitory. But i could only take that for about three days becase it was very hard on my stomache, as i am only 16 and weigh about 125 pounds.
Hi everyone- I have had a swollen lymph node in my neck for over a year. I had an ultrasound done about 2 weeks after my old doctor first noticed it. I know you are worried sick about now...I went through something similar except my surgeon scared the *@#&@ out of me! My CA-125 was 26 and I had a large ovarian cyst as well...So, here's the thing...Most ovarian cysts rupture and fire off their egg and/or reabsorb. There are always cysts being made that enclose the eggs while they reach maturity. The CA-125 test is cr@p for testing ovarian cancer because it is influenced by hormone levels...
My friend had swollen lymph nodes and recently had a biopsy. The biopsy showed "pathology consistent with ovarian cancer"!?!?! Today, she had her OB appointment and a vaginal ultrasound. Both ovaries have cysts and solid masses. She has been referred to a Gyno-Oncologist. Does this mean she has Ovarian Cancer? Does it mean it's spread, since it was detected through her lymph nodes? How do they find out where else it is? How do they determine what stage this is? 3C?
hi..my friends lymph node has been off and on swollen and painfull thats why she went for the mamogram but she has really bad fibrocistic stuff so they did an ultrasound b/c they couldn't tell anything on the mamogram. Shes worried because the black spots in her breast showed up near the lymph node that was all swollen and painfull. And the tech scared her more by asking her 3 times if she had breast cancer in her fam. which she doesn't. What else could that be?

Lymph nodes are throughout the body and often become swollen if there's some infection nearby. You probably remember the doctor checking the nodes in your neck area if you went in for a sore throat. With a breast exam, the doctor will check the nodes in your arm pits. Take the antibiotics and see if that helps. If the doctor suspects diverticulitis he may want to do a colon scan (sigmoidoscopy or colonoscopy).
You said it's not an ovarian cyst. Did you have an ultrasound done already?
At month 27 on Tamoxifen, I had an ultrasound that shows a lickening of the uterean wall and 3 complex ovarian cysts. My Dr. is doing a biopsy but my question is why would my periods AND the hot flashes go away completely? I would have thought that if my period stopped my hot flashes would get worse not better. Does this indicate Endometrial cancer?

She requested Prolactin test. She also requested an ultrasound to be done next Monday because I just finished my period this Sunday.
She also prescribed Azithromycin (250 mg/ every 12 hours) and Piroxicam (20 mg/ every 12 hours)
I am nervous and scared.

Just an update.. I've noticed that now both groin lymph nodes as well as the lymph nodes in my neck are all swollen and I've been experiencing a almost constant burning pain on both sides of my pelvic bone. My hips and upper thighs also have a burning sensation. I'm still having sharp pains in my pelvic area as well as lower abdominal pains. Today I've become very nauseated and complete loss of appetite as well as having to urinate quite frequently.
About a month later, I started to have more stomach issues, more tenderness and it seemed like my immune system was crashing(multiple fever blisters, swollen lymph nodes ect.). I went to the doctor and since I already had the blood work from the previous month, I took that with me hoping it would save me from getting more labs drawn. Well, it did the opposite. So I've been on antibiotics for 3 months now. When I stop, I get my blood work down.
I am 28 and recently had some quite severe symptoms that I believed were related to glandular fever. It started with nodes swelling at the back of my ears, then extreme flu like symptoms and ear infections. Then the dizziness began. A feeling of constant 'swimming' and of being light headed.
