Avatar f tn I am sorry to hear you have PCOS. Are the cysts painful? Have you tried birth control pills to regulate your cycle and maybe control the cysts?
Avatar f tn My husband and I have been trying for some time so I am getting really excited. Now, I have been reading online that pelvic pain is a symptom of ovarian cysts and that ovarian cysts can make a pregnacy test positive even if the woman isn't pregnant. Does anyone know anything about this? I am really hoping I am pregnant but after reading all that I am starting to feel discouraged. Please help. Thanks.
Avatar f tn I have read that hydronephrosis could be a sign of pelvic cancers. Should I be worried about cancer considering I have both the cysts and the hydronephrosis now?

Avatar f tn Shortly after the C-sec, I began having many problems with pelvic pain and several surgeries to remove ovarian cysts (simple corpus luteal cysts) and scar tissue. The issue of the pevlic instability came into question, for which I saw a physiatrist and underwent prolotherapy and physical therapy. I was still having problems with ovarian cysts and was put on continuous birth control to prevent ovulation. I ended up having 4 surgeries for the cysts and adhesions.
Avatar n tn I recently started having more intense right sided pelvic pain along with lower right back pain. I went back to the Gyn and she did a pelvic exam and said that everything was fine. There were no cysts and that the back pain must be from something else. Well, two weeks later the pain has gotten much worse. I went to my regular doctor who checked my CBC and wanted to do a ultrasound, but couldn't get in for a week for the ultrasound. The pain is getting worse, so I went to the ER.
Avatar f tn Scared that i might have Ovarian Cancer, because of the symptoms that i am having. I have pain in my leg, it gets weak, pelvic pain, stomach pain around the right side.
Avatar m tn Hello I see I am not the only one that is frustrated with the pain of complex ovarian cysts. I have been in constant pain and pressure in my pelvic vaginal area for the past 9 months. My doctor kept putting it down to menopause and put me on hormone replacement tablets and still suffer with pain. I had a colonoscopy recently it they picked up inflammation in the bowel and my doctor referred me to a gastroenterologist thinking I may have colitis or crohns disease.
Avatar f tn I find often that women who have chronic pelvic pain are talked into believing that 1-2 cm cysts are causing their problems. These cysts are normal and are almost always present on every woman's ovaries. I hope this is not what your doctors are talking about too! Your problem is a difficult one--chronic pain in the pelvic area, and believe it or not, often results from some sort of major physical/psychological trauma that becomes worse and worse over time.
1371286 tn?1278431320 I am having right side lower abdominal pain that generates to my right pelvic and around to my back and sometimes down my leg also sometimes to the middle of my stomach. I feel very tired most of the time and a bit nascious, stomach pain regardless.
Avatar m tn Hi, I had pain like that too, it was an ovarian cyst that had gotten so big it got tangled up in my fallopian tube, so I had to have that ovary removed. If they've already checked for cysts and told you that you have some fibroids or cysts that 'should not' cause pain that doesn't mean that they 'cannot' cause pain. I think you should go see another OB/GYN at another practice who could look at your case with fresh eyes and give you a second opinion.
Avatar f tn Hi there I came across this site looking answers/advice diagnosed with suspected adenomyosis. Just the month previous to this discovered I had a large (over 5cm) cyst on my left ovary. Having constant symptoms for both so least I know I'm not going mad after years of it. This site has helped me alot thanks! wondered if anyone can tell me if a novasure endo oblation can affect in anyway ovarian cysts?
Avatar f tn You should consult a gynaecologist for a detailed evaluation. The pain can be due to ovarian cysts, pelvic infection, colitis or urinary infection. An ultrasound scan should also be done. Hope this helps. The answer is based on information provided. Exact advice is not possible without a proper examination and investigations. You are requested to consult your Doctor. Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar f tn when you and an OBGYN exam because when they were touching and putting pressure themselves I did not feel much but when I am home I feel all types of pain/pressure.
Avatar f tn It does not seem like the cyst itself, being only 2cm, would cause that much pain. However, I have read where other women had small cysts and had a lot of pain thought to be caused by the cyst(s). And if the cyst is leaking or you had another one that ruptured, that can cause infection which can cause pain. So I would not be too concerned with the PID comment at this point.
Avatar f tn I have been having sharp stabbing pain in the pelvic region and I can't pinpoint the problem. I can be standing and bending over, as well as, walking. It is sharp and severe but short. Should I be seeing a gynocologist or regular physician? Anyone else have these symptoms?
Avatar f tn They are usually asymptomatic. In few patients cysts may cause menstrual irregularities, pelvic pain. In such cases medical help should be sought. Large cysts need surgical removal .In your case monitoring the cysts and a prescription of pain killer if there is associated pain are recommended.I hope you find this information useful. Do keep us posted. Best wishes!
Avatar f tn Can Ovarian Cysts cause swollen lymph nodes and/or inguinal canal discomfort?
Avatar m tn Other possibilities which present with such pain in the lower left abdomen are diverticulitis, Crohn’s disease, bowel obstruction, ovarian cysts and pelvic inflammatory disease, irritable bowel syndrome , kidney obstruction or kidney disease. You need to consult your doctor and get an ultrasound done to confirm the diagnosis. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
1893678 tn?1322008313 Hi guys, I'm new to this website after reading all your supportive posts about having painful ovarian cysts. I'm 17 and I have been having problems with ovarian cysts since I was 16. Last January, I was 16, and I started feeling severe pelvic pain that wrapped around my back. The pain was so severe I laid on the bathroom floor and cried and cried. My mom then took me to my primary doctor who told me it was only a stomach bug and gave me medicine for the vomitting, and 'stomach bug.

Avatar n tn the fibroid is causing a lot of constant back pain, heavy periods with clots, and pelvic pain, so that seems the best option for now. when results from biopsy come back, the plan may change. what did your dr give you for options? good luck. p.s I've had that fibroid for at least 5 years, along with cysts.
