Some ovarian cysts Non-viable pregnancies known as molar pregnancies A rare form of ovarian cancer Overproduction of progesterone by the adrenal glands Congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) Please remember that things like molar pregnancies are pretty rare. In quite a few years on this board I have yet to meet anyone that had one. Does your Dr. have a reason to suspect one?
Not only did the doc have to laser off the endometriosis, he also lanced several ovarian cysts, found 2 vaginal hernias, and discovered I have a septum in my uterus. He told me I couldnt conceive and planned a hysterectomy for 6 months later. Im only 22 (21 at that time). DEVASTATING. July 2013 I conceived and am now 22wks :) just dont think about it. Let the idea go and dont expect it.
says it should go away on its own, Do you think it has something to do with the molar pregnancy? One more question, It has now been 8weeks since the D&C, and I still haven't had a menstrual cycle, is this normal? I did however stain for 2days, but it wasn't heavy, and I did have cramping. Again my dr. says don't worry. But I am I really am scared that this whole thing will interfere with my future and having kids.
C, the bleeding had not abated, and an ultrasound revealed an abnormal mass in the uterus and small ovarian cysts -- which caused the ob/gyn to suspect a partial molar pregnancy. However, tissue tests and an HCG test did not confirm this; the diagnosis was a large uterine clot. My wife's ob/gyn suggested a second D&C, but we decided to wait. Nearly 2 months after the D&C, my wife was still bleeding on and off.
I have been having problems with regular fluid filled cysts since last September, but this one is larger than the other ones and the only one diagnosed as "complex". Does anyone know what I can expect? They re-drew my HCG levels, but I won't know anymore until Monday. Thanks.
I had a complete molar pregnancy the beginning of last year. I was diagnosed with ovarian cysts and endometrosis when I was 15 years old and placed on birth control. I have had 5 surgeries to remove the cysts, some measuring anywhere from 1x2 to 6x8 inches. Over the past two years the cysts have been getting worse, they are coming more frequently and more painfully. My doctor was excellent, but retired and I am now seeing someone who doesn't really seem as concerned as I think she should be.
I'm 44 years old, had a molar pregnancy 2.5 years ago, had two rounds of methotrexate and have been cancer free for two years. I had a breast biopsy six months ago (Birads 4) which turned out to be benign calcifications. Family history: mother had colon cancer 1.5 years ago and is in remission; she also has chronic lymphocytic leukemia which is being watched. I had a CT scan 2 months ago which showed a small cyst on my left ovary.
Hcg levels should b at 5 or lower to not b pregnant but 21 is low so its probally working. And I believe ovarian cysts can give off hcg like a pregnancy until its taken care of. I hope this was n any way helpful!
They did ultrasound after ultrasound and found out I had an molar pregnancy. I went in for surgery in Janurary being 4.5 months pregnant with an HcG level of 70 000. My gyneocologist put me on depo so I wouldnt get pregnant again. Everything was fine for the first few weeks until I started puking every day. I went back in the doctors and they told me my HcG level was going up so something didn't go right (possibly pregnancy).
I have no idea what is going on with my pregnancy. They think that I have a molar pregnancy, but the only symptom is high hcg levels and they can't see the baby yet on the ultrasound. I don't have an enlarged uterus or weird little round things inside. They see NOTHING. So idk. My hormone level is too high for a miscarriage, so I am just completely confused. I have had no spotting or severe abdominal pains, besides the night that I had my two ovarian cysts rupture.
Two and a half years ago I had a stillbirth with my first pregnancy and lost our little angel at 20 weeks. For the next two years my husband and I tried and tried but still no bfp. We finally saw a specialist and went through all of the necessary testing, including a very painful HSG, but were still unable to get to the root of the problem. So we opted for a diagnostic laparoscopy. I was absolutely terrified of this procedure and even more so of going under anesthesia.
In the meantime, has anyone experienced THIS level of brown bleeding, loss of pregnancy symptoms, and had mild cramping --- and still had a healthy pregnancy and baby? THANKS. I know this is a very old string of comments...hoping someone is listening....
I recently read that ovarian cysts, and conditions such as ovarian cancers cause the Hcg level to rise and many women with these problems test positive. I am in the same boat as you are. terrified and full of anxiety. hang in there hopefully we will know soon. I am too experiencing nausea, backache, and cramping although all these symptoms are aslo linked to ovarian cysts and cancers.
Also because in 200 sorry my backspace does not work but in 2000 i was almost three months pregnant and had an ultrasound and the tech did not see nothing and turn out I had a molar pregnancy just one that went bad but still had all the symptons and tests blood and urine showed i was pregnant. Good luck hope for the best and keep us posted.
Hi this is my second time on clomid the first lot i tried was 2 years ago and nothing happened so they took me of clomid and put me on metformin that didnt help so i had ovarian drilling done and stayed on the metformin and still nothing so now im on both, and if nothing happens in the next 3 months its back to the hospital again, its not easy i can tell you that much me and my husband have been together 8 years and it would be nice to have a baby or 2, 3 i really dont mind, it use to get me dow
I went to the doctor on Dec.1,2003 and they gave me both a urine and blood pregnancy test that came back negative. I've been having mild cramps from time to time but I really don't feel pregnant. My stomach is still flat and I always feel empty other than that I'm normal. What are my chances of still being pregnant?
They are now concerned because with it being as high as it is, they should be able to see the baby, but they can't. They suspected it to be a molar pregnancy, but the problem with that is, my uterus and everything isn't enlarged and shaped funny like it is supposed to be for that diagnosis. Also, they think it could be a miscarriage, which makes no sense because my hormone sky rocketed, not plummeted. It is not an eptopic(sp?) because they don't see anything in the tubes.
Hi everyone! I have been TTC for 1 year and I am 7 days past ovulation. I took a test this morning (I know it is too early, but I couldn't help myself) and it was negative. For the past 2 days I have had a lot of clear/whiteish discharge, that is very runny (not a yeast infrction). Sorry to be so graphic, but I am hoping this could be cervical fluid from the implanation or some sign that I could be pregnant. Does anyone have any information on this that could help?
Thanks cheeky13, that is exactually what my gyno told me too. It's been 7 months since my molar pregnancy and D&C and my HcG level have been at 0 for 3 months. When I went in for my surgery, I too was 4.5 months pregnant and I lost 800mls of blood. The gyno said that I need to stay on birth control for a year just because it was a full molar pregnancy.
so Im new to this and I took clomid until saturday and I go in for my ovarian scan tomorrow. My hubby is in the marines and sady, the RE that I have to use doesnt give me much info. I dont really think they know what the heck they are doing! lol Well, the nurses anyway. I was wondering if they always do the HCG trigger shot before an IUI. I am taking clomid and metformin (not diabetic though).
My ivf is done before 17 days and on 12 th day thro blodd test came to know pregnancy and drs told me to stop all medicines. Still , I have cramps and feel period will come at any time. I am confused and feel worried..
For the last 6 months I have been getting tearing (look like paper cuts) in my vaginal area (1/4 to 1/2 inch long). I get the tears at least once or twice a week and they last from 2-4 days, go away for a few days and then come back. They continue to occur in the same locations; 1. Inside the vaginal lips on the sides almost always in the crease (between the labia minora and majora?) 2. Between the anus and vaginal opening (perineum) 3. Above the clitoris in the "hood" area.
Google molar pregnancy. I work in pathology and I see it quite alot unfortunately. It might explain this - I judt know its a condition where the body thinks its pregnant but isn't.
i am 27 years old and have already had numerous female problems. Including an in office freeze for cancerous cell growth at 17, a biopsy for ovarioan cancerous cells at 17, two natural miscarriages, and one molar pregnancy that I had an emergency D& C for. Now my family docter has diagnosed me with having a cyst on my left ovary of 7.5 centimeters which he said is out of control and is refferring me to gynecolgy for. I am scared and do not know what to expect.
I was on progesterone with my last pregnancy and it makes you feel pregnant which is much like the af symptoms. I will keep my fingers crossed for you! I hate to test...last month I didn't get my BFP until 14DPO...so you can always get a BFP late. You might is well wait for hte doctor. empty- It's good your RE is aggressive. I like that...my RE is a little laid back but I think he is wonderful. Sounds like he tested you for all sorts of stuff.
Its seems that this happens when I stopped the BC pill, but when im on the pill, I have other issues. I was told that the pill stops ovarian cysts but idk if the cysts are causing this "pregnant look" and upper stomach pain too. HELP!
I have been pregnant twice and each time I've had ovarian cysts. The first was a molar pregnancy and the second was successful he is now 19 mos. old. So my question is can I be pregnant or can the surgery be the result of my missed period? If the surgerycannot be the reason, how long should I wait to get tested.
I've never heard about this kind of pregnancy complication. I have heard about molar pregnancy and never heard about Hererotopic pregnancy. Oh mine, sorry to hear you go through all this mess. Poor soul! I cannot explain how this happened to you. It sounds you were playing hide and sick there. Is is possible that mass in the ovary to be simply cyst? (usually cysts happen after miscarriage and they disappear few weeks after).
I've had a total of 4 miscarriages throughout the years and every pregnancy ended at about week 6-14. The first couple of times I got pregnant, I was on Clomid. Sometimes I was prescribed Progesterone, to help support the pregnancy. It would help my levels increase for a while, and then at or around the 12th week I would start bleeding. Then last year I got pregnant, but the only thing I had taken around that time was an antibiotic.
On US they seen a small sac with no yolk and they seem to be making a big deal out of my ovarian Cysts which I guess is a little bigger than it should be. She drew another HCG which was only one day apart from my 4,000 and it was 4,920. My doctor thinks it's an ectopic pregnancy or a miscarriage and wanted to do a D&C that day. Has anyone had anything like this happen? Also my progesterone level was around 11.
