Some ovarian cysts Non-viable pregnancies known as molar pregnancies A rare form of ovarian cancer Overproduction of progesterone by the adrenal glands Congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) Please remember that things like molar pregnancies are pretty rare. In quite a few years on this board I have yet to meet anyone that had one. Does your Dr. have a reason to suspect one?
C ultrasound showed a clear uterus, and also a large ovarian cyst. Our ob/gyn ordered a CT scan (why not a MRI?), which revealed a large hemorrhagic ovarian cyst, 7cm x 8cm x 10cm. My wife is not in any pain, but still bleeds slightly on and off, and has had no menses since December, but her ob/gyn now recommends laporoscopic surgery to remove the cyst, which otherwise "will not go away on its own.
I'm 44 years old, had a molar pregnancy 2.5 years ago, had two rounds of methotrexate and have been cancer free for two years. I had a breast biopsy six months ago (Birads 4) which turned out to be benign calcifications. Family history: mother had colon cancer 1.5 years ago and is in remission; she also has chronic lymphocytic leukemia which is being watched. I had a CT scan 2 months ago which showed a small cyst on my left ovary.

says it should go away on its own, Do you think it has something to do with the molar pregnancy? One more question, It has now been 8weeks since the D&C, and I still haven't had a menstrual cycle, is this normal? I did however stain for 2days, but it wasn't heavy, and I did have cramping. Again my dr. says don't worry. But I am I really am scared that this whole thing will interfere with my future and having kids.
i took it on time for 2 months, then I started getting really busy.
One of my colleagues at work just recently miscarried this past year due to a large ovarian cyst so i think it really all depends. I have had 2 surgeries in the past year to remove ovarian cysts one being emergency surgery and if youre in an extreme amount of pain, i wouldnt hold off on asking your OBGYN if surgery is an option for you. Living with this pain is the worst pain in the world and if you don't have to live with it, why would you, you know?
I am a 26 year old white female. I had a complete molar pregnancy the beginning of last year. I was diagnosed with ovarian cysts and endometrosis when I was 15 years old and placed on birth control. I have had 5 surgeries to remove the cysts, some measuring anywhere from 1x2 to 6x8 inches. Over the past two years the cysts have been getting worse, they are coming more frequently and more painfully.
Hi, i have a deep concern pertaining my wife, she had done a home pregnancy test and it was shown positive, However when she was about 6 weeks , she experienced one day of mild bleeding. With this worry in mind, we rushed to the doctor and he said that there is a posibilty of molar pregnancy as the scan shows a snowy effect. the doctor then took my wife's blood and the result came back with a HcG beta level of 12,000. and this is in the 6th week.
1 Hi I am a29 year old married Hispanic female living in the UK with a history of ovarian cyst, previous partial molar pregnancy which was terminated in 2000 only to find out baby was healthy. Miscarried again March 2004 with two positive pregnancy test and on day of confirmation miscarriage occurred and negative pregnancy test resulted. I was told it was all in my head. My last period was 07/29/07 and I have always kept a record of my periods on another web site.
I have been on so many horomones and fertility drugs(clomid) for almost a year and the only thing i've gotten from it was a couple of miscarriages, etopic, and a molar pregnancy. I hope this helps me. God willing. Any advice?
the radiologist suggested it could be a molar pregnancy but from everything i've read people with molar pregnancies have abnormally high levels of hcg (which is not my case)...i just don't know what to think and the next sono is scheduled for monday which is less than 4 days from now but that seems like forever when I am having so much anxiety, when everything just seems up in the air right now...
yeah its worrying to see discharge and pv spotting and clots during pregnancy,in most of cases it is not at all dangerous or worrying, but some serious conditions needs to be ruled out like the poosibility of ectopic pregnancy or molar pregnancy and early miscarriage so for this purpose i wiill advice you to have a tvs(trans vaginal scan) that will help you out.mean while till you get your date you shoukld have atleast one blood test of serum beta hcg.......regards Dr.
I have no idea what is going on with my pregnancy. They think that I have a molar pregnancy, but the only symptom is high hcg levels and they can't see the baby yet on the ultrasound. I don't have an enlarged uterus or weird little round things inside. They see NOTHING. So idk. My hormone level is too high for a miscarriage, so I am just completely confused. I have had no spotting or severe abdominal pains, besides the night that I had my two ovarian cysts rupture.
I went for an early scan which my husband almost demanded and everything was fine with the baby. They did find an ovarian cyst which could have caused the bleeding but nothing to worry about. I haven't had any more spotting since this time but do get cramps, which I have been told by the MW are growing pains. If I was you I would push to get an early scan especially with your previous MC. It is probably nothing to worry about but it would help put your mind at rest.
I went in yesterday with pain - I was told it was probably an ovarian cyst. Anyway, I went in to see the doctor. He said it was a cyst by feeling on my stomach. Then he had me give him a urine sample. That came back positive for pregnancy. Then he sent me in for an ultrasound. The lady could see a cyst on my left side, but saw nothing in my uterus. She said it could be too early to tell. I don't know how they can tell that I am pregnant since I just had my period on February 22nd.

Hcg levels should b at 5 or lower to not b pregnant but 21 is low so its probally working. And I believe ovarian cysts can give off hcg like a pregnancy until its taken care of. I hope this was n any way helpful!
What is a molar pregnancy? I've never had a cyst that big. But all major things like this deserve a 2nd opinion.
It could be that your pregnancies never grew large enough to be seen via sonogram (aka molar pregnancies) or you have cysts producing HCG and mimicking pregnancy. Passing a clot doesn't necessarily mean it is a baby either. A clot can be surprisingly large but if you miscarry at 6 weeks or so then your embryo is very, very tiny (think of the size of a period on this message). The clots are usually uterine tissue.
All sorts have been going through my mind from another baby, to a cyst, or even ovarian cancer. This whole thing has been going on for a month now and I still don't know what it is. It is worrying as I can't help thinking that if it is growing, what if it is dangerous or what if my tube ruptures? Or what if it is spreading and I need to have everything removed? I have an appointment at the hospital tomorrow morning and have been really upset and stressed.
, your hcg levels are rising very well considering that they only have to rise by a minimum of 60% in 3 days, your progesterone seems a little on the low side and I would be more worried about that at this point in time, the only other thing that springs to mind if its not a viable pregnancy would be a partial molar pregnancy or a blighted ovum, but def get another u/s in a week (minimum)
I have had some issues during my pregnancy that makes me really worried. I had two ovarian cysts that burst, which isn't supposed to cause any issues because it is not in the uterus. So, I had that. When I first found out that I was pregnant, it was June 4th, which was 8 days before my missed period. So, that was pretty stressful because the at home pregnancy test was able to detect it better than the one in my doctor's office was. I got blood work done, and everything was fine.

I have been pregnant twice and each time I've had ovarian cysts. The first was a molar pregnancy and the second was successful he is now 19 mos. old. So my question is can I be pregnant or can the surgery be the result of my missed period? If the surgerycannot be the reason, how long should I wait to get tested.
sweet mother of gawd! yes honey please see a doc. it looks like it hurts! go right away and dont stop til they give you an answer!
So the long and short of it, is that it is harder to get good quality embryos, however, if you do, your chance of pregnancy is just as high as without having a cyst. I would try and be patient which I know is seemingly impossible, but once the cyst goes away (frustrating and stubborn cyst) your outcome on an IVF cycle will be much better.
I went back on june 12th to make sure they had dropped to zero and they had climbed to 8300. At first suspected molar pregnancy wich can cause variations in hcg levels, but we waited 3 weeks and performed vaginal ultrasound and it showed a live gestational sac. I hadnt even had a period in between pregnancies.
( one was growin really fast so i had surgery to remove the ectopic pregnancy and to remove the cysts.... hope everyones pregnancy goes great!! :) my husband and i are gonna try again in 3 months for another baby luckly this ectopic pregnancy was caught on time and only opened the tube to remove the baby so no tubes where removed!!!
Maybe the extreme symptoms you are feeling are a good sign?? I don't know anything about molar pregnancies so I looked it up last night it the site said that they are extremely rare. You and your family are definitely in my prayers, and God often does work miracles! Hang in there!!
