Avatar n tn i read on a medical web page not long after finding out that i myself have a hemmhoragic cyst on my left ovary that fertility drugs can help to cause ovarian cysts because most ovarian cysts are caused by the eggs not making it all the way out of the ovary or something of that sort and they just kind of pile up inside of the ovary and form a cyst. however, i did read that most ovarian cysts go away sometime during ovulation.
Avatar f tn Hi, Just browsing the internet and figured I'd put myself out there... I had my first ovarian cyst at 18 or 19 years old and I'm now 22, almost 23 and have had multiples ovarian cysts since then. Just a week ago, I had a 9cm. cyst removed. This is taking such an emotional toll on me. I'm afraid this will affect my fertility and health. Also, OTC pain medications do not help at all unfortunately.
Avatar f tn I think that it could be from the fertility meds... I have PCOS and went through the ringer with the fertility meds and I felt terrible each month (8 months total with no baby)... It could be that you have a cyst and that is what is causing the burning feeling in your right side or it could be implantation. I have my fingers crossed for you girl! Welcome to the TTC club!
Avatar f tn yes ive got cysts back on both ovaries, been free of contraceptives for 6 months now but still,no sign of a period.
Avatar f tn I had pain on my right side and went for an ultrasound and they told me I have a few small cysts on the right and one had ruptured, but they were more concerned because I had one on my left ovary that is 2.8cm. I think this may have been caused by me abruptly stopping the pill a few months ago. My husband had a vasectomy so I figured why keep taking the pill, I didn't realize how much is would mess up my system.
Avatar m tn As the other poster said, larger ovarian cysts can cause urinary urgency. So can large uterine fibroids. Most cysts go away on their own within 2 or 3 cycles so I would not worry much unless your symptoms worsen especially if you start having pain which could be a sign of the cyst rupturing, leaking, or twisting the ovary. Since most cysts resolve on there own, there should not be any impact on fertility.
Avatar n tn The most recent problem has been irregular bleeding and pain in the pelvic area, on one side, I had an ultrasound done where they found 2 cysts on one ovary and the other overy had folciles and fluid behind it. I know my Dr. thinks I blame everything on tamoxifen, but I never had anything like this before, is this connected? Should I be concered about this reducing my risk of being able to get pregent when I stop tamoxifen?
Avatar n tn As far as I know I have never had an ovarian cyst until I started taking fertility drugs. My first ovulation induction/iui on clomid was unsuccessful. I had 5 follicles all good sizes but no pregnancy and produced one cyst. My the doctor would not let me start another cycle until the cyst went away. My second cycle on gonal f/iui was unsuccessful. I had 8 follicles, no pregnancy and now I have three cysts and have to lose another month or two waiting for them to go away.
1362085 tn?1277776457 Yes, your doctor can prescribe you with a fertility drug called clomid. It helps you ovulate. They start with 50mg and then increase it depending on your reaction to the medication. The medicine does have side effects but it generally is safe for the most part. Have your doctor run blood work to see if u can ovulate or not and then he/she will uide u. Good luck.
Avatar f tn HI, During cyst removal only the cystic part is removed and the normal ovarian tissue is preserved. Hence this should not affect your fertility in any way. Consult a gynaecologist for follow up. Hope this helps. Take care and good luck.
Avatar n tn Most likely yes. I've had several ovarian cysts before I had my children and I fell pregnant within 2 seconds with each one as well.
1798025 tn?1333814468 It has been observed that women who use OC pills have fewer chances of ovarian cysts so birth control pills may be effective in decreasing the size of these cysts. Painful cysts or very large cysts are removed surgically.Endometriomas and PCOD are associated with decreased fertility. It is best to clarify your doubts with your gynecologist. Hope it helps. Take care and regards!
Avatar f tn Yes. Last year I was ttc for about 5 months and nothing. I new I could have kids cuz of my son but I thought something was wrong with me. Or my boyfriend. Then I was having pain in my stomach and weird cervical mucus and just felt sick and feverish. Went to the er and found out I had cysts and didn't know it. They bursted and I was put on pain meds but was OK. Was still ttc and the very next month I was pregnant. But unfortunately at 3 months I lost the baby.
Avatar n tn I think possibliy you mean ovarian cysts instead of ovarian fibriods as fibriods are assoicated with the Uterus and ovarian cysts are associated with the ovaries.
1259649 tn?1336414032 Many times ovarian cysts go away on their own. If it doesn't go away or if there's several cysts, the treatment is laproscopic surgery to remove the cyst(s). Check back with your doctor in a couple of months to retest. If it hasn't resolved itself, make an appt. for the treatment.
Avatar f tn I was wondering what the medical explanation was for why fertility drugs cause cysts? If you do get a cysts at the end of a cycle, does that mean you never had a chance of getting pg from that cycle? Is there anything a person can do to prevent the cysts? I did several cycles of Clomid with no cysts; then one cycle of Femara that produced 2 cysts. Now I'm ending another cycle of Femara and believe that I have cysts again.
473222 tn?1214439873 I would go 6 months and not get a period because my ovaries were completely incapsulated with cysts so I would not ovulate. It took fertility drugs to make me ovulate. I lost both of my ovaries due to this disease and after all of that I had to have a hysterectomy two years ago. these cysts go to both ovaries. I started with them on my left ovary and after 5 years of pain had that one removed.
Avatar f tn There is no history of it in my family at all, but we do have a very long line of Ovarian Cysts which I also have. For the past four years I have had a rupture on my right side every four months exactly. So I suppose there is a connection there since many say endo is also connected to ovarian cysts. This month my cycle was very strange, for I have been charting for the last 8 months; it's been consistently getting more off track.
Avatar n tn I've had a few ovarian cysts in the past 7 years. I was just wondering if they can affect my chances of getting pregnant?
Avatar f tn I had 5 lg ovarian cysts that my dr. (OBGYN fertility) wanted to surgically remove from my uterus. I had a friend tell me about CASTER OIL as a remedy for naturally removing the cysts by using "cold pressed caster oil compresses". I tried this and it worked !!!- it actually removed all 5 of my cysts!! Now my doctor is upset with me. Saying it's not safe. Really and surgery is?? People have use caster oil since Before Christ. Why is this not safe?
Avatar n tn Some cysts can affect fertility and others are large or suspicious and must be removed to improve health and determine malignancy.
Avatar n tn Hello, Fertility is restored few days after taking out the Nuva ring. Hopefully you should fall pregnant. But some cysts like functional cysts, cystadenomas and dermoid cysts can cause infertility when they are very large. If you have any problem in conception you can talk to your doctor and get fertility drugs like Clomid prescribed. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
1016941 tn?1292444386 Ovarian cysts usually go away on their own, however, ovarian cysts can persist and get worse. If too many cysts cover the ovaries, eggs to fail to develop or be released. If this is the case for you, you'll need laparoscopic surgery to remove the cyst(s). Do you notice any other symptoms during your cycle? There could be one of a number of fertility challenges.
1448645 tn?1370067496 Fertility meds can most certainly cause delays in AF. After my first round it was almost a month late. Ovarian cysts can cause a delay also and there could be a good possibility after stim drugs. Best of luck to you!
